I have shoped here before. Both for lunch meals and groceries. Yesterday AM I walked in just to buy coffee. No one in line. The two ladies cooking and preparing lunch meals saw me at no time even said Good morning one moment please. So I waited there standing waiting for service and one of the ladies called out to someone but Im still standing there and nothing. No one came to wait on me all I wanted was coffee nothing eles. I just walked away from the outburst I could have created. The food is excellent and with many different options available. I rate them three stars because they put too much food in the plate even when I keep telling them I just want small portions. And also, most of the time, there is an unnecessary delay at the cash register.

Their mondongo (tripe) in coconut milk is the best. Carne asada tacos are $1 on Tuesday. Love their food.

I wouldnt buy my bread from here, I took a video and some pictures of so many flies over the sweet bread at this store, I saw so many flies goodness !!! I told the manager on duty Mr. Alfredo Santos?( I believe that was his name) and he acted like I was talking to his back, very careless fixing some boxes ..... this food can make someone sick !!! How many eggs can a flie actually be putting on that bread and reproducing in our bodies for careless people.. how disgusting! I really hope this post helps many people. PLEASE DONT EAT HERE !!!

La Ideal has the best Honduran baliadas you can have. Great stop for a traditional Latin breakfast. Amazing semitas. Deserts drinks food and spices. The STEAK IS THE BEST!

Went in for just Guacamole wound up getting that plus 3 meals ( breakfast and lunch for today & breakfast for tomorrow plus a mango juice) had to get out before I did damage to my credit card. My only problem is finding someone to understand me maybe thats a good thing if I could speak Spanish or the people there could speak or have someone there that could translate. Guess thats a good thing or Id really go broke. still love that store can find d half the stuff I need without help.

Always my place to go to get the hard to find Hispanic and Latino food items but stay away from the hot food! Found a roach roaming around the hot plate and always check the date on the stuff you buy, it can be expired!

My favorite location is on Terry Parkway on the Westbank with the very diligent manager Shalabi! Love it!!!

Not very personable at the register at checkout....the store is very clean, produce has a lot more hard-to-get items than at the Broad St. location, the to go food, in the back of the store is tasteeee, love the spanish / english menu - for new comers, but I did see notice portion size differences depending on who served you - no worries, I got served enough for two, Yassss!!! ..if there is a line at the prepared counter ...you are standing smack dab in the front of the dessert case - great marketing!!!....mmmm, the cookies here are so buttery that they crumbled in my hands...OMG!!! Grandkids loved them. THE MEAT COUNTER...could have spent all day there, but I didnt have the time...going back, because its a must do, on an hour lunch break from Marrero....put it on your to do list worth the trip!!!!! Trust me..BTW....pick up a Malta!!!!

Eh ido el día de hoy a hacer algunas compras y fui muy mal atendida por la señora que está atendiendo en la carnicería, ella no respeta el orden de la fila estando yo de primero y a atendido a un muchacho que apenas iva llegando . Pienso que ella no hace bien su trabajo, con el dolor en mi alma me toca hacer este tipo de quejas por este medio ya que el manager de la tienda no lo localize, deberían de emplear personas que hagan bien su trabajo con respecto al servicio al cliente . Si no están capacitadas no deberían de estar frente al cliente por que uno si cumple con el orden .

They are not very good at dealing with customers, and they are not very hygienic. But food does taste good in the kitchen.

The service is good and the food has only one problem lately, people park in front blocking the way of the other cars and nobody from the store tells them that they have a large parking lot for that.

Very well stocked and prices are friendly. The only complaint I have is the bad smell that comes from the meat sector, I keep my inspiration every time I go there.
