Ive had a poor experience with their sales division, which was unresponsive to calls and emails. Their service unit has always done good work on our Ioniq. Theyre punctual, quick, and competent. However: The dealership asks customers to wear a mask. This is posted prominently inside and outside. We commit to the well-being of our visitors and employees, reads a sign. Most customers DO wear masks. Of the 10 employees I observed, nine were not masked. Masks are not primarily for the wearers benefit. They protect the other guy, especially the unvaccinated and the immunocompromised. Theyre a nuisance, sure. Itll be great when we can get rid of them. But right now, in October 2021, they still make sense. I wish DeMontrond management expected as much from their employees as they do from the rest of us.
James Anderson took care of everything for us. He gave us the best treatment and the best offer with all the applicable rebates. James took the time to explain all the new technologies that our new car has. He was able to answer all our questions. You can’t go wrong with James and the Warranty Forever that Hyundai DeMontrond offers.
Typical Car dealership. They pretend they care up until you buy the car then they just forget about you. Bought a brand new 2022 Hyundai Tuscon Limited. After we had agreed on the purchasing price they miraculously found a ding on the trunk of the car.(Very subtle but it was still damaged). It supposedly got damaged off of the truck. (obviously not my fault). They didnt take any money off of the car or offer any discounts because there is a chip shortage. They said they would fix it for free and it would be done in a week. Leaving for a trip Friday which would be over a week and a half and they dont even know if it is going to be done by then.EDIT: I was reached out to by the Sales Manager and was treated very well. Brad did everything he could to make my experience great. Very happy with the car they fixed everything that needed to be done. I just wish this kind of treatment was exemplified earlier without me having to complain.

If you enjoy paying 3-4 thousand dollars above what your car is worth, purchase your next vehicle from DeMontrond Hyundai. Many dealers are taking advantage of the market, and DeMontrond Hyundai is no stranger to this tactic. Their reasoning is that people are so desperate for cars right now, that someone will eventually pay for their inflated prices. These additional costs are 100% profit for the dealer. Save yourself the drive to the middle of nowhere and do not waste your time here.
I greatly disagree with the diagnoses made by the service technician on my most recent visit. On a visit previous when having warranty work and recall work performed they disconnected my seat heaters and never reconnected them which required me to return to have them reconnected. I was also prepared to by a new car depending on what they said the diagnoses of my current vehicle was, however the selection of cars and models at this location was extremely limited. I looked online on their website both before heading in for my appointment and while I was inside waiting, I cannot figure out why their lot has so few options in it now.
I know I can count on DeMontrond Hyundais service department to take excellent care of my Kona when I take it in for the scheduled maintenance. Check in is easy and the waiting area is comfortable, clean, you can watch TV, and it has a nice snack area, too!! The overall experience, I give an A+!
Saw a truck that i liked drove 45 mins truck price 23k online salesman James who was totally unprofessional bring me s paper for 28k with bunch of extra fees like window tint and customer service fees which he tried to take off to give us discount we tried to negotiate but he told us good bye. We have bought over 10 cars but this was the worst experience ever.

Where should I even begin. After going to two other DeMontrond dealerships, you could tell that this location had/has better salespersons that actually LISTENED and work within your budget. I purchased my FIRST car with Javier. He was able to get me into the Elantra I wanted and helped me get into budget. Javier shows that he cares and will answer any questions or concerns you may have. My husband and I went to several dealerships over the course of 2 weeks and were given the run around shown cars we didnt even ask for, and delt with rude sales people, my husband and I were frustrated and ready to just give up untill we finally went to DeMontrond Hyundai! I really appreciate David in the maintenance department who is always so kind and helpful. He always answers my questions about maintenance and care on my 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT. Today I had an issue with my tire and running over an object causing the need fro a new and David was kind and able to make space for me before I return to work this weekend.

Had a very unpleasant experience trying to buy a 2021 Santa Fe. On a Thursday, the sales guy promised to double my military rebate that we would have received according to him during Memorial Day weekend but would give it to us now. Plus he would give us the college rebate without going through Hyundai.It was late and so made arrangement to come on Sat to close the deal.Immediately on Sat, the promised rebates were not provided. Additionally, the sales guy (Syed) try to argue with me about the amounts he promised.Brad the Sales Manager was no better. In fact, it became so contentious and unprofessional by his part that I left.They were not willing to negotiate and tried to sell me on the DeMontrond experience. What experience?!?! Obviously that experience is to argue and yell at the potential buyer.Ron Carter did not have the model that we wanted on that prior Thur but by Sat they did. Got a new car at the price that I had proposed to DeMontrond. Thanks Brad for sending me to Ron Carter! The experience there is amazing in comparison.

Had warranty issue. Set it up online, drop off was a breeze. Was promptly contacted as to what the issue was and informed they were finalizing the repairs. Was then contacted that car was ready for pickup and upon arrival, I was professionally greeted. Repairs were reviewed. Car was returned with a courteous carwash and vacuum. If only every business was ran this way! Excellence service delivered, what more could you ask for.

Never crossed my mind to look at Hyundai until I saw the 100,000 mile warranty. And the Lifetime warranty with DeMontrond. I’ve had the vehicle for two years and haven’t had any issues.
Just finished the purchase of a 2020 Sonata. Excellent experience with Bill Rees. He is definitely gifted with more patience than me. He never put pressure on the sales always providing information requested on various models very promptly. His priority is to get the right car for you.No gimmicks when you get to the dealer trying to load the price by thousands of dollars. The opposite to the experience that I received at other Hyundai dealers.Drive the extra miles and make sure that you ask for Bill Rees. You will receive a fair price (better than the competition) and be treated with a professional and honest service.
Take your time. Finance tried sneaking in an extra $800+ to the purchase price than what was agreed upon with sales. There also was a $900+ consumer service fee they were not able to explain what it was for that they took off and later added to added equipment there are some reasons they may do this. very shady.

My Service manager Robert was great! He got me a loaner car and was very professional. BUT PLEASE REMOVE ALL STUFF FROM YOU CAR HERE THEY HAVE A THIEF, maybe a porter cause I doubt a mechanic at their pay range would steel from a vehicle. I had a lucky coin given to me be a League City Law enforcement officer. I kept in my arm rest. I never move it and when I was half way home I noticed it was gone. I called and offered reward for it but have not heard back.
This place is horrible. I traded in my car on July 4th. I have contacted the finance department repeatedly regarding the loan not being paid off to date.They mailed the payoff check to the incorrect address, I wanted them to cancel the check they sent and send a new one to the correct address. I’m stuck paying 2 car notes. When I went to sign my paperwork, I informed Joni (with finance) that I would be financing my car through my bank. That was on a Saturday at 3pm when I got my car. I left her a message that Monday and sent her an email with my financial institution’s information to get a buyer’s order. She deliberately let my paperwork go through so I could not refinance with my bank. She also sent me an email response with all caps as if she were shouting at me. I have called and emailed repeatedly (today is 8/17) and my emails and phone calls are not being returned about the status of my pay off loan. It should have been a sign that I should have walked out when the finance manager had her mask below her nose and was licking her fingers to turn the papers for my husband and I to sign. We were mortified. I definitely DO NOT recommend Demontrond to anyone.
We had the pleasure of dealing with a new salesman Ross Lambert. He was so upbeat energetic and eager to assist. We asked dozens of questions and any he didnt know we got a immediate response. He made our 1hr 40min drive to the dealership worth it. From our initial call to driving out the lot happened in a 24hr time frame. We knew what we wanted and he helped make what we wanted happen. It was a very quick transaction and we feel he did a good job making that possible. I highly recommend this dealership everyone from insurance to their fiance person Kelly was friendly and fast. I would definitely buy my next vehicle from here without question.
I cannot fully express to you how WONDERFUL the DelMontrond dealership in Texas City is. They’re just off Gulf Freeway. We just bought our 2nd car from them. They’re VERY CARING. Our 1st car a Hyundai Tucson was leased. They took A LOT of time with us, explaining and trying to get us the very best deal. We really didn’t want to lease but in order to get the pymt where I could afford we had to. The Tucson has been a WONDERFUL little SUV♥️ It’s NEVER given a day of trouble. So the lease was up this October.Our daughter and husband felt it best if we’d buy the next car even if it was a used one. We are elderly 79 & 83. Honestly I left it up to God whatever we should do~~even to not buying a car and to just using our the 2nd car, a Hyundai Santa Fe, for our only car. Yesterday, August 31st the 3 of us went to DelMontrond. The salesman, Syed Zaidi, who helped us was very kind and very patient. He wanted to make SURE we had the right vehicle for the price we could afford. Hubby and I took 2 cars for a test drive, the Venue and the Kona. He told us we could be gone a couple hours if we so desired. No~~I just wanted to drive it to see how the seat fit my back and if I could see good enough (I’m short). I drove both cars but felt the Kona was best for me. When we returned we told Syed, it was most important for me to have the pymt as low as possible. As he was figuring the price he was able to give us more off than I ever expected.I completely understand dealerships NEED to make a profit otherwise they go under. I’m just SO HAPPY with the help I was given. When it came to completely “tying up the deal” the closing manger was MORE THAN SUPER. She was so very helpful in EVERY ASPECT🌸She presented to us “add on options” but NEVER EVER pushed it~~just presented it. It was our choice or not and she didn’t make us feel we did wrong by any choice we made. They TRULY ARE A FAMILY DEALERSHIP🌺They want to “take care of you” and you truly feel it. All I can say is you just lost an easy sale. We walked into a vacant dealership w financing already approved. Wanted to see two SUVs they had listed on CarGurus and were told those were service vehicles but they would match the price on another. We were left standing out in the lot while salesman went to get a set of keys. We wanted more than 15 minutes and he never came back. We went in and got our folder full of paperwork off his desk, no one said a word to us as we walked out and got back in our car and left. False advertising with no desire to sell a car to someone who was diffinitly going to buy. Beware of this dealership. We were the only customers and were treated like they didnt want to sell cars

Jamie in sales, Brad the sales manager, and Kelly in finance were all great, they were very personable, transparent, and will not force you to buy anything you do not want or need. Jamie informed us when the Palisade arrived with the packages we wanted and was very communicative of pricing and all that is included in the drive out before we arrived and there were NO surprises. They gave us a great deal on our new car and trade, no mark up on MSRP or additional packages like other dealerships. DO NOT go to Ron Carter Hyundai! We made that mistake and the sales manager hid fees in the drive out price that were not listed, when we went to finance they moved the amount they hid in the drive out to the sales price of car and they kept saying well the drive out matches. The only way we found it was to ask to see what we agreed to with sales and by doing our own math and found it was not adding up. beware of Ron Carter Hyundai, do not be drawn to their free food, free popcorn, and face painting Saturdays.

After doing a lot of research, looking at prices and different car options and talking to a couple of dealerships in the area, DeMontrond gave me a great price for my new car! Jamie is hands down the best representative I spoke with and made the whole car buying process a lot less stressful then it could have been. She was very patient and understanding of all my questions and concerns and I never felt harassed about buying immediately during the whole process. She was very upfront and transparent about the pricing of the car and made it possible for us to get the car I wanted at the price I wanted! She was also very personable the whole time and was always extremely responsive whether it be text or email. Jamie did a great job taking care of us. We initially got the runaround at another Hyundai dealership in the area who list low prices on their website but then wont sell the cars at those prices. We then contacted DeMontrond over the internet and were put in touch with Jamie. We already knew what vehicle we wanted and quickly agreed to a price. I asked if she could get the paperwork and vehicle ready for us. We arrived there about an hour later and the paperwork was ready and the vehicle was about 10 minutes later. We had a slight wait for finance as she was with another customer. From start to finish we were in and out of the dealership in less than an hour-and-a-half, and that included the informative checklist that Jamie went through of the vehicles options and controls. Overall a great experience and if you are looking for a Hyundai this is the place to go.

When looking for a replacement car I went to at least 10 dealerships and DeMontrond Hyundai was the best. Bill Rees was easy to work with and there was no pressure sales. He got me all the information I wanted on at least 4 cars and we ended up buying a 2019 Sonata because of the experience we had with him. If in the future if we need or want to purchase another vehicle this is the 1st place we would go and find Bill.

Found that their online dealership rebates were thousands of dollars more than all the other Hyundais in Houston, I couldnt believe it was real, when I went in and took a look at the numbers it was obvious that the internet discounts were a scam to get people in, and then they try to take back as much as they can through line item charges.

This was on be of the most comfortable, enjoyable car buying experiences Ive ever had! I came in the first time and met with Wayne Rowe! He sat me down to figure out what I wanted, and didnt give me the run around, or try to coerce me into something I didnt want. He also gave me a lot of respect, and didnt talk down to me like other people have done at dealerships in the past.I didnt buy anything that first visit. I went home, thought about things, did more research and came back a week later with an expanded list. He told me he had a car there that he thought I might like, even though it wasnt on my radar. He took me pout to show me a beautiful Honda-- a car I didnt even think I could own-- that was in my price range, and let me take it for a spin. I fell in love immediately. He bent over backwards for me, getting me the right price and payments, and was positive and encouraging the entire time. He was truly a joy to work with!Now, I am in a car that is beyond my expectations, loving every second! Thank you to the whole team there, but especially Wayne! Very good experience leasing a Hyundai here. I feel like I got a good deal and its a good value. Not what Im used to when buying a car. The only drawback is the extensive amount of time it takes to get through the financing department. There should be a better way after all these years. Too much paperwork.Update: very good service experience...upped my rating to 5 stars.

The online price this dealership publish is a hoax. It is a trap to drive traffic into their dealership. Once you have been thru all the details; then only the their true color come out, so many hidden an inflated charges around Tax & Title - which normally the customers overlook (they think).In case you decide to go to this dealership, get the drive-out price and compare that with other dealerships before you even go there. I asked for drive-out price and they never gave me that. Keep telling, come over, drive the car, if you are satisfied, we will provide all details.
The service department was wonderful! Even Chad the mechanic, came out and discussed what was wrong with my vehicle and what needed to be done. It was a great experience to be informed along the way! I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and would not accept anything less. My salesperson ( Jamie Batest ) listened to all of my wants and even though the exact car I was looking for at the time wasn’t on their Texas City lot, she hunted it down for me and made it happen!! I purchased a 2020 hyundai tucson today from demontrond. I dont normally take the time to write reviews unless i have a really terrible experience or an outstanding one. Well after today, I wont shop at another dealership other than demontrond. I wasnt expecting to buy a car today but the experience with Ross Lambert in sales and Kelly in financing was so seamless i cant imagine going anywhere else. I was quoted an unbelievably good price, and was leary that i would actually get that deal. I went in for a test drive, the car was ready for me, and nothing changed on the price!! Ross was very thorough, helpful, and friendly, and made sure i was comfortable during my time there. This was all before my credit check was done and before i gave any financial information. So this is how i know everyone will be treated fairly and with respect. I was told upfront about a very minimal window tint fee and was ok with it. Financing was a breeze, kelly was very fun and easy to talk to and helpful even though she was staying late and swamped with loans. Nothing is hidden there and i was amazed that buying a car could be that easy after purchasing multiple cars from various dealerships in the area and always having to literally argue for what is fair. Do not, ever, ever go to ron carter. Make the trip to demontrond and i guarantee you wont regret it from personal experience!!
Jamie Bateast is the best, and in a league above the rest. Ive dealt with many salespeople over the past 35 years buying vehicles and I tell you that shes a godsend. She should teach her listening skills and friendliness to other dealers. Im definitely referring her to friends and family. May the Lord bless you with much success Jamie!
Poor customer service, I asked for a lease price, because another dealer gave me an unrealistic price, they asked if i will lease today if given a better deal, I said that i have to discuss with someone before doing that. as a response they come back to me with that once you get serious, come back and well give you a price. hang on a sec dealership, do you really think that I have nothing better to do than waste my time n come to your store and talk you useless game? guess what, I am going to lease a car, and that will happen today, but believe that it will not be your store, because disrespect does not work very well. sad-sad and go Carvana, where you can buy without dealing with such people.
I was very pleased with my car shopping experience this past week. Our salesperson Jamie Bateast was understanding and patient with us during this process. She listened to every concern that we had and treated us like family!!! I would highly recommend her! We will definitely be going back to her for our future vehicle purchases!
They had the best price I could find on a Hyundai Accent for my daughters, but they are unfortunately about 5 hours from where I live. I spoke with Jonathan Solis on the phone, we came to an agreement, and they sent me the paperwork (they even included a prepaid FedEx label to return it, which was a nice touch). Called my bank, wired the money, and my daughters just drove down from College Station and picked up their new car. Like most people, I HATE the process of buying a new car, but this was by far the least painful vehicle purchase Ive ever made. I never had to leave my office and I saved a considerable amount of money. The only difficulty involved in all of this is going to be moderating the fight between the twins as to who gets to drive the new car and who has to drive their old 2006 Sebring with 100,000 miles.
Demontrond Service is the best! After moving to Texas I had my Santa Fe service done at the Texas City location. Besides the satisfaction with my 2013 Santa Fe, the superb friendly service I experienced there was the main reason I wanted to purchase another 2020 Sante Fe and not look anywhere else.
Jamie was representative. She was Very Professional, Straight Forward and Very Honest. She made me comfortable with my decision. I’m definitely going back to her when it’s time to upgrade.

Very happy with this place! For starters they are hundreds (literally ) cheaper for the scheduled maintenance. Second, I scheduled my appointment online and showed up a week early :/ the man at the service counter didnt skip a beat, they took the car in and serviced it quickly while I waited, all the while friendly. Super super happy with this place!

Returning lease customer. This experience better than the first. Everything involves paperwork these days, so had planned to wait a few hours. I did call ahead for an appointment, but was greeted by Chris and Adrian - and off they went getting me under a new vehicle. Enjoyed my last Elantra and hope to get a few years of fun in the new 2017. Dealership is a bit outside of town, but has been worth the experience.
