I am 65 years old went to my friendly Kroger to shop....had a basket full of stuff some heavy...one checker and 6 basket deep...i had frozen stuff so I went to check out myself....over $165.00 and 10 minutes later I rang up and transferred groceries into another cart...then the girl came over to ring up 4 heavy items in the cart...i transferred those over too...paid and left...went to car to unload ...a kroger employee saw me struggling with groceries and he didnt even help ...watched me while he was looking for carts . Thanks for nothing! Yet these employees cry because they dont get paid enough....I say they are all over paid!

The product selections were spot on, right down to the billing services. All about this place was incredible, including the people who work here. I couldnt ask for anything else from this supermarket because they have everything I want. This is really a one-stop shop for all of your food needs! It comes highly recommended!

Extremely rude cashier service today9/30/2021I dont wanna say names but lets just say your employee with 20 years of service was holding up the line arguing with me and demanding me not to argue back. Childish! My license expired a week ago and I have a new one coming in the mail. I am a instacart contractor for yall and even tried showing the birthdate for the customer showing yall have accepted the order.

Kroger on Palmer is very clean and well stocked. Sometimes I find expired food still on the shelves. Also, since COVID, they’ve changed the pick up policy for pre-order fried chicken. It now starts at 11:am, which is too late to order for a church luncheon. I will be ordering elsewhere. Otherwise, I like shopping there.

I like this store, for the most part they keep up on stock, But the reason for two stars is they almost always have only 1 cashier, But all the self-checkouts are open. And the manager here in Texas City apparently doesnt care that the line for the 1 cashier is long.

Went to get a cake for mothers day clearly the box says White cake with fudge iced instead I got a chocolate cake with fudge iced

Krogers use to have the best fried chicken around and now its horrible. It doesnt have any seasoning.

They are thieves at this store. They steal so keep your stuff close to you. Then the Manager does nothing to help.

All of the employees are so nice every time I go here but what happened today was above and beyond good customer service!! I used the self check out to purchase my items and almost an hour and a 1/2 later realised that I had left bags at the store . I called them and told them what happened they said to bring my receipt in and they would take care of me. I went in they told me to gather the items that I had left. I went back to pay for them and they said I was good to go!! They gave me the benefit of the doubt and really helped out! I was panicking because those items were some of what I needed to cook dinner for my Bible study group tonight. They really saved the day for me!

Always loved shopping at Kroger’s when I lived in Houston. Never had an issue. But the quick No and not finding a solution is terrible customer service. Only decided to shop here was because I recently moved to the area and this krogers was the closest to my home. But will deff be shopping at a different krogers w/ better customer service.

Just left this location and only went in to get cash back on the self check out. Needless to say I was in the store for 36 minutes… Both managers, one early 30 white man with glasses and the other mid 30s Hispanic woman are both just not equipped to be managers. They both diminish the brand beyond belief! Delegation and customer service literally don’t ring a bell in their minds. And the cashier by the name of Veronica who is a heavyset mid 30s lady, is an extreme hothead and a liability to the company! I am very mild mannered, but for whatever reason she felt the need to literally yell and be upset with me for whatever reason… This store needs an extreme overhaul. I genuinely believe in the power of the Internet so I wholeheartedly hope this review falls in the lap of someone who actually cares and actually does something.

Deli area smelled like sewage and all the slicers were filthy, each one had offal not cleaned out between use.The tempature in the seafood case was questionable enough that I couldnt trust.The fruit was picked thru, and the offering was slim.Kroger is my favorite store, but the management at this facility has slipped.

The workers dont care about the customers. Apparently I made the mistake of telling the self checkout lady that this bag of pretzels had a hole. And instead of letting me get another bag to replace it. She pushes the pay now button for me trying to push me out. What a rude young woman.

Newish to Kroger.. Some employees are nice, some not so much definitely a hit or miss on customer service. Store is clean. But customers service definitely needs some improvement.

It waz Christmas when I went last and they almost didnt let me in the door the woman asked if I was getting a couple things are a lot and if I had set a lot she would have not let me end even though store hours were still open

I love their sales big bargain and save money. Theyre very nice and helpful. If you have Kroger card you can save big time. Get a Krogers card at help desk. You can smell their fried chicken by the bathrooms and it can make you hungry. Service with smiles. Some employees been there many years and know where you can find what youre looking for. I love the service here at Krogers. Excellent to find everything you need. Vitamins, meats, vegetables, toys, dog and cat vitamins and supplies

Great deals. Love shopping here 2-3 times a week. Love the big displays. Makes the store feel so full and inviting. Great people.

Normally don’t shop here but the times that I have been here I have had no problems. Store clean, employees nice, more than one cashier working. No problems.

Fantastic employees make shopping here feel like a small hometown store. Although its smaller than larger HEBs they have a great selection. I always find great deals here that surpass HEBs prices.

Great place for a long or quick shopping trip. The people here are nice and very helpful. The aisles are well organized and easy to see where certain things are at. Some of the deli food is not so good though, but great prices in the seafood and bakery department. Even excellent savings if you look for it and stay on top of it.

Love the Fact that I can find a Great Bargain on bread to feed the birds! 🙂

The review is for the pharmacy. Horrible experience. Dropped off 4 prescriptions at 5pm. Asked for it to be ready next day. They said 4pm. Went to pick it up at 5pm, giving them an extra hour. It was still not ready. When it finally was ready, one medication they were asking almost $1,000 for! Its always been an affordable medication, about $30 for 90 day supply. Other pharmacies had it as low as $4. I dont understand how this place can function with the waiting and the prices. They even put the wrong name on the prescription bottles. Needless to say it was the first and last time I will be using this pharmacy.

Extremely overpriced on most items.HEB is much better on pantry items. Theyre about same on meat prices, however, HEB has fresher produce...We also appreciate that HEB isnt violating our privacy by constantly asking us to provide personal info for discount cards and IP address info for digital coupons.

The manager Amanda was so helpful and nice. I had a special request for a young family that still didnt have a Christmas tree. Thanks to Amanda I was able to take them a tree AND a stand!!

Krogers is a great grocery store . I have shopping there for many years. They have great prices, good section of food ranging from organic to ethnic food . They also sell household items like soap to chemical free cleaning products . They have a great meat and deli section . If you are the market for flowers they also those too with very affordable prices . The bakery is top notch with a wide variety of awesome baked goods. Last but least the everyone who is works there is very nice and knowable.

The deli is great. The young lady Nora who works there is awesome. She is courteous and always has a smile in her face.

I used the Kroger Clicklist and it was worth every penny. I was able to get everything that I needed without even leaving my car. The Associate that loaded my items was AWESOME and very personable. I appreciate this service Kroger offers.

The only cashier at 9:15 AM had 3 people in line and was so busy on her cell phone, never looking up, to notice! Good thing another cashier came and checked me through the self checkout! The second cashier was friendly and very helpful!

Not only over priced but very hard to find any products. They have 3 rows of cleaning supplies but only 2/3 row of canned vegetables... more than half of them being beans. Only 1 offering of all corn, peas mixed veggies but NO CARROTS! Its no longer a grocerie store its a KMart without clothes

I’ve been a dedicated shopper at the Kroger in Texas city for over 20 years in recent months we have got some pretty poor quality produce just recently we bought some cherry tomatoes and got home and noticed they had a blackish green mold on them prior week bought some potatoes, cucumbers and baby carrots half of the potatoes were almost bad cucumbers went soft and bad within a couple of days so did the carrots. Took the tomatoes back the next day via customer service explained to the clerk what the issue was and was like oh we got a bad batch! So I went back to the produce to get a new pack and to my disbelief every single pack was bad and still on the shelf a day later. So I had to buy three smaller to make up for the amount I needed that cost more per package. Wasn’t even offered a discount for having to buy smaller packages at a higher price. Please fix the issues you have in your produce department of we will have to take our business across the street to HEB. Found everything I needed. What I could not find, the staff was very helpful in showing me. The cashier was very sweet. I did tell them if water on the floor in the dairy section. The employee acted on that immediately.

I was able to get in and get out, but self check out needs a system upgrade. If you pay with a card. You have to press the card option on the screen or it will stop working.

Tierra at the Pharmacy is BEYOND AMAZING. she helped me so much to find the lowest price and had so much patience. We need more kind hearted people like her in this world.

Ive always found the people that work here as well as the customers to be very courteous and helpful. If I cant find something all I have to do is ask and they take me directly to it. Im very pleased

I dont know why Kroger calls themselves a 24 hour grocery store when 9 times out of 10 they are closed in the early morning. I understand that a vast majority of people are not shopping at 4:30 in the morning but Texas City is home to multiple refineries which has people that have to be at work very early in the morning. Whats aggravating to me is theres no sign saying, Sorry for the inconvenience, but we will be opening at such-and-such time. Just locked doors. Well, I will never shop, or try shopping, there again. I wonder if HEB would be willing to open earlier...

My first time at this store but they seem to be set up differently from what ive been used to. The store was clean and the employees extremely helpful. We have just moved to this area and this will be our go to store.

The girl that helped me at the customer service booth was very rude. I believe her name was arkia. She has no people skills at all. And the lady at wearing the red vest had a name tag but you couldnt see her name. I am very very disappointed in this Kroger. I assure you I will not be going to this customer service booth again, I will drive the extra miles to go Dickinson or even go to HEB. Thank you .

Thank you for ruining my familys Thanksgiving. I ordered an $80 meal kit days in advance 1 turkey, 4 sides, roll and pie. I did this because of my work schedule and we dont have any family to speak of . I wanted a nice day with no stress. That plan is ruined. Now I dont have a clue what to do.I showed up exactly when i said i would. The guy came around the counter with the order sheet. Said we have the Turkey and potatoes not the other 3 sides you ordered. 🤬🤬 are you kidding me? Nope. No apology. His solution replace the sides with mac and cheese or corn. So for $80 im getting a meal i could make for $30 at home. Now i dont have time to cook anything and they wanted $45 for the frozen Turkey. They said it was cooked but it was still frozen.I absolutely have no idea how you run a business like this. I manage a restaurant we do caterings for hundreds of people and we have never run out if you needed more call another store or dont sell something that was pre ordered. I do expect a manager to contact me.

I had been a regular customer here for 5 years before deciding to switch over to the new HEB. Ive pointed out countless times their molded berries. Theres rats at this location, as well. Theres this one bagger that works there that has come off way too strong on two occasions.. I grocery shop with my two kids, I dont want to be solicited with flirting. A different bagger, the woman in her thirties with the very short haircut, is VERY rude. I dont know what her problem is, but always try to avoid another interaction with her. Shes so unprofessional.There other members of the staff I havent had any issues with. Kelvin is my familys FAVORITE cashier! He is so professional, courteous, and personable. Because of him, we would try to only do our shopping on the weekends (when he works). Hes just always in such a great mood.

5am is a pretty crappy time to close. For a blue color community grocer, this store sure doesnt seem to understand the concept of convenience. Sometimes shift workers need to buy Lucky Charms after work at 5am. Guess Ill go to Walgreens and get a box for $30!

I went in today (2/26/2019) and was out within minutes! I couldnt believe they still do the registration stickers there! It was awesome because tgere was virtually no wait and it was smooth and easy!

I buy all my meat from here. They have the best quality of steaks 🥩 hands down.

I prefer this Krogers over my local one because their items are fresh. It is pretty busy at times but the area is highly populated. The new remodeled store is a plus as well.

Opens early, which is a big convenience for me and they usually always have what I am looking for.

Krogers had some great sales today on roasts and Blue Bell ice cream.

Store layout makes sense, no searching aisle to aisle for what you need. Decent sized lot, so theres somewhere to park whatever time you go. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Clean store with decent selection. Wish there was more selection in terms of vitamins and organic food but otherwise just fine.

Pretty much a dismal experience... you can tell this store is just not up to par and on the same level as most Kroger stores.

This store needs some serious upper management review and auditing of employees, and location. Dont really like getting the look down when I walk in the door. The morning cleaning guy forgot a few bits of trash in the parking lot, and around the front of the store. The morning cart guy for August 1st, 2016 tossed trash out of the cart, and let out a few curse words when he realized that he locked himself out of the store. Besides my very realistic perspective on the fundamentals of life.

The store keeps getting worse. Meat section looked as if they were a week behind on deliveries, was a lot of empty spaces. Had one Male employee blocking a pathway while he leaned against the pallet of stuff and flirted with a female customer. Several stockers blocking the aisles with their carts. Only one stocker had his cart positioned where shoppers could easily pass by. He was also the only employee today to offer help. As I searched for my spices he helped 2 people and then helped me. Other than that employee the visit today was bad

Why do you let non-service dogs in a grocery store where people buy food how disgusting your employees should be able to stop people from coming in I was absolutely appalled here I am buying meat and heres a dog in the store

Bathroom was horrendous! Personnel could be a little more friendly, but they werent rude.
