First of all the Staff is incredible! Very helpful and polite always asks if I need anything in particular when I walk in the door. Great selection of games new & pre-owned for every current platform going back to the OG Nintendo and even The Atari 2600. Also great selection of accessories, movies, smart phones, oh yeah and they even fixed my sons PS4 when it broke down. 5 ⭐

Mrs. Mary, the owner, is super friendly, hard-working, and understanding. She is an amazing woman, and, even though is not related to me or my husband in any way, we see her as part of our family. She treats us like she feels the same way. Also, if she doesnt have the game you want, shell order it. Her staff is just as friendly. Plus, this is a local small business so youll shop local if you shop here.

Been coming here since I was a little kid. Mary, the owner, is always super friendly and the other staff are very nice as well. Large variety of games for consoles from every generation, so yourecertain to find what you want. They always try to have the latest titles in stock, and youll find both new and used copis here. They also have controllers and other gaming accessories at a reasonable price. Never had an experience where they tried to rip me off like at GameStop. Also, they have a free rewards system for customers where you get little deals or coupons every once in a while. Highly recommend for anyone that lives nearby or is passing through!

Great local place for entertainment needs. The staff remembers their customers in a family manner. Better bargains than other bussiness of the same nature. They keep up with current stock and we enjoy the midnight release parties. More than just a gaming spot, if you need other electronics such as phones and tablets, charging cords, etc. Great selection of movies and specialty gifts. If you dont see it on the shelves just speak up and they will do their best to get it for you.

I had to come back and change my review. This store has gotten way too expensive. And They’re only open a few hours when they are open. Almost $70 for a controller? Seriously? Everybody else is around $50 and you’re asking almost 70? No thank you. I know we’re supposed to support local business but not when you’re getting ripped off. Not when I can go on Amazon and order the same thing for $25 less. Good luck keeping your store open with the ridiculous prices.

Gives low prices an charges way to much fir resale. My wife took 3 n64 controllers in an she took all 3 and only paid for one and it said she had rung it up but the money didnt add up, and online hours are wrong need to be the right hours.I wouldnt refer anyone to this place

Ive been a frequent customer to Game Castle ever since they opened, and they have never once let me down. They have fantastic prices on both purchasable games and trade-ins, plus they have very appealing sales quite often. They have a staff that is beyond excellent, who always make sure that you feel welcome and leave satisfied. Game Castle will provide almost anything you need for gaming, whether it be the newest game on PS4, a controller for your old N64, or even dice for your weekend RPG group. I give my absolute highest recommendation to Game Castle.

This place has had me covered on purchases for 4 years and Ive never regret their service or their business. They are great people and they try to help the best they can even if you dont end up buying from them. They help with phones, games and for the nerdier people, sell Magic The Gathering cards.

I drove almost 2 hours to patronize this small business. I was more than happy to make the drive because I thought I’d found a place to scratch my retro gaming itch. I purchased a GameCube game and drove my nearly two hour trek to get home, excitedly popped it into my GameCube and was met with a disk read error.I noticed there were a few scratches on the disc so I decided to try cleaning it. No luck.I contacted the store and spoke to Mary (who I believe is the shop owner) and she informed me she’d be happy to swap out the game for another copy.Great!So I drive another 2 hours and she looks at the disc and says she won’t be able to swap it out. why? Because she claimed it looked like it had been run through a disc dr. (It hadn’t.)So, I asked if she had a disc refurbishing machine to run it through because I’m not as interested in another copy insomuch as just having a working copy.She takes it to the back, runs it through the machine and after about 20 minutes of waiting she brings it out to her associate to boot up. As she’s handing the disc to her employee she tells her flat out “it’s not going to work, it’s got a warp on the side.” She was right. It didn’t.So, I ask if she’d reconsider exchanging it. She said she wouldn’t because she claimed I’d damaged it by cleaning it. I told her that I’d never have had to do anything to it if it worked to begin with. Besides, any damage she was claiming that I’d done was repaired by the machine she used. And she plainly told her associate that it had nothing to do with the surface and that there was a warp on the side.She said she wouldnt honor my purchase because - get this- it was the second time that week someone had brought back a damaged GameCube game. Thats right, I would be out of 40.00 because theyd already fixed one of their mistakes that week and they had reached their weekly limit.I was surprised and frustrated, but mostly disappointed. Not only had the small business not honored their word, stood by their product, or taken care of their customer, but now I have to continue to my search for my one-stop retro-shop.It’s a shame. Poor decision making like what Mary displayed is what sinks business. I’m sure she’ll respond as she has with other low rating reviews with some off topic suggestion of how I can patronize their establishment again, but it simply won’t happen.I’ve disputed the charge with my credit card company. Unfortunately, it was a split arrangement payment. I’m out 10 bucks on a 40 dollar game even if I win the dispute. That doesn’t factor in the time I’ve spent driving or the gas money that I invested in this shop that has such low regard for their customers they won’t even admit they messed up and sold a faulty game.As much as I’d like to recommend them, I can’t. I simply and genuinely do not have confidence that anyone can be sure they won’t be taken for a ride as I’ve been.Purchase at your own risk...EDIT: One more thing, I was able to purchase the same game that I bought here along with FIVE OTHER GAMES from Gamestop for the same price that I paid for just one game from Game Castle.

It is a great alternative to gaming retailers like Walmart and Gamestop. The people there are friendly, professional, and seem like they really enjoy their work environment.They also have a customer loyalty program where you can get discounts and deals from making prior purchases. I recommend this retailer if you need a video game, phones, tablets, or DvDs.

I might be biased because I grew up with the owner, but I tell everyone about this place and how well it is managed and how much it is definitely a hub for geeks like myself (and my husband). If you go to Walmart or Gamestop, you MIGHT be able to find someone knowledgeable about gaming systems or otherwise, but you wont be able to find rare parts for retro systems or games for them like Mary usually has in stock. She definitely puts the work ethic in and she has built this place from the ground up, kept it going through the post-recession, and still maintains a high level of standards for her business practices. Shop small, benefit big.

Ah Game Castle, the fond memories I have. The staff here is pretty awesome and most if not all are local. However, there seems of late to be a bit less of an emphasis on, well, games, as maybe a 10th of the store is taken up by this ugly smart phone section these days. A couple old school consoles used to have much larger selections and are now relegated to about one shelf. Some are still healthy sizes like for the ps2, but my friend the purple lunchbox (the Gamecube) has long since past its glory days in the collection of games Game Castle offers. However, you should support this store if you want that collection to grow. There is also a movie selection if youre someone who never got over blockbuster dying I guess? Most worthy of note is that its a local game store that sells the more nerdy things, like dice for Dungeons & Dragons or Magic the Gathering cards, though these items dont have grand prominence in the store. My suggestion is that if youre looking for a game that you consider an old school classic dont bother looking around the store, go up to the display counter and look in it, because most of the games that you think are classic are probably more valuable than other games on the store shelves and they keep the good stuff locked up in that display case.
