I’m updating this post to 5 stars I had to wait 7 months to get this table set was it worth the wait? YES very happy with the quality of the table! 😊

Purchased stools from local furniture company and they are the wrong size. Neither John Thomas or furniture store would accommodate a return for the correct size stool. One stool is damaged. Told John Thomas would replaced the damaged stool with the correct size. Told to sell the other three on Facebook Market Place or Craig’s list. If you have ordered from this company look over the furniture before it is taken off the truck.

BUYERS BEWARE: John Thomas Furniture / John Thomas Select Furniture: Extremely disappointed. We ordered a dining table and buffet in September 2019. After waiting the standard 12 weeks to build the furniture, they were delivered in December 2019. The table looks great, the buffet on the other hand was constructed in the wrong colors. The replacement was ordered and after an additional 12 weeks it was delivered in March 2020. There are chips in the wood panel and the top of the doors look like they have mold on them. I am very surprised that this passed John Thomas Furniture Quality Control Department. To add insult to injury, the table and the buffet stain do not match because they were made at separate times. When we reached out to John Thomas, their response was there is nothing we can do!

The best choice we could have made for long-lasting furniture. Solid wood with so many customization options. Were so excited about our John Thomas purchases!

The retailer I work with has sold thousands of items from JT and Whitewood over the years. Good, solid furniture. Solid wood. The finish is durable. They care about making the customer happy. I recommend their product.

We purchased a beautiful John Thomas compass table for our beach home. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is also an extremely well made dining room set. We couldn’t be happier with the look, quality and affordability of the furniture we have purchased from Whitewood. We also purchased 6 bar height barstools and they are the perfect color and quality! We can really tell a difference in the furniture we purchased from Whitewood compared to the “chain” furniture stores we have purchased from in the past.

Just finished furnishing my bedroom, kitchen, and living room with John Thomas furniture and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out! The finishes look even better in person and I have never owned furniture that felt this high quality.

I am so disappointed- I looked at a sample of the hazelnut distressed at two stores- hired a designer to ensure the color would fit in my room.. custom ordered the table- and the table is a total different tone and a shade off..I cant return the table- so I am out of luck and stuck with the table in storage. I have to buy another unfinished table and have a wood person do it...be aware that their stains vary....dont count on the exact shade. Just be careful if you are trying to match things..but give them three stars because the table is pretty cute otherwise.

Worst service ever! Ordered a $3000 dinning room table in FEB that was supposed to take 8 weeks.... after 8 weeks (we had to call) we were told it was on backorder and had to wait another 5 weeks..... 5 more weeks go by and told us it was shipped and now sales rep will not give us a call back (avoiding us) to find out .... the order is pending and was never orders ..... needless to say, ordered canceled! Worst service ever

Do not purchase from John Thomas or White Wood Industries! The furniture is made in Vietnam and is low very quality. The furniture is assembled and finished in their plant in N. Carolina. I purchased a table, 6 chairs, a buffet and hutch. None of the paint matches and the glass on the doors and the shelves is very thin and the edges are sharp and jagged, not sanded or beveled as they should be. I waited three months for this furniture and now must wait three more months to have the paint fixed. And that is the way they make the glass. I was told that if I wanted the edges sanded to hire someone or do it myself! DONT waist your money.

Love John Thomas, did our Home in Ocean Isle a few years ago with Kimballs Furniture in Shallotte, the Furniture was perfect. We even met the Rep and he was more than helpful, took the time to explain the do’s and don’ts of Solid wood and what he had seen that looked good. He was spot on and so was our designer, we are looking to order the New Coastal Classic Shell Design for our Kitchen, can’t wait to get it. Great Company and Great People.

Waited 3 months for table and chairs specially ordered. So disappointed in the quality of this set. Stay clear away from this company. I got ripped off so unhappy with the quality and was so expensive. Don’t ever special order from them or you will get screwed😡
