I have been waiting to get a hitch installed on my car for four months now. I chose this location because they had the first available appointment back in May. I took half a day off of work and showed up for my appt. only to have them tell me that the parts were not in yet! No one had communicated that to me. And....now it is four months later. I have called every couple of weeks to check in and can not speak to anyone at the location. Ive only talked to people at the main number who are very nice and try their best to get in touch with the store. Its almost comical how poor the service and communication has been from this location.
Absolutely horrible customer service. I scheduled appointment online for hitch install only to be told by the guys behind the counter that my service was canceled. I asked them how that was possible without informing me? They said “not our problem, talk to corporate”. I told them I confirmed over the phone that my appointment was good. And have order confirmation email. They said “Can’t help you”. I told them this was unacceptable and asked them as a customer how they can make it right. They said “ corporate screwed up, talk to them”. I said are you all not on the same team? They said “not really “. I finally gave up and asked to refund me. They both said “ thank God”! By then I was really offended. I filed a complaint worth corporate only to be told that they cannot validate what happened in the u-haul front desk and sorry all they could do is refund me. I said, I already asked for refund why wasn’t it already done. I have still yet to be refunded so now have my bank involved. What a JOKE this location is. AVOID at all costs. No empathy. No care for customers. You all can do better than waste your money & time at this facility!
If I could write a review for zero stars I would, if your able to utilize another location I would suggest to do so. if you have any issues try to take them up with the corporate office, the managers of this facility are not customer servicey in any means of the word. they do not care what you have to say about anything that might be wrong and I can not stress this enough do not I repeat DO NOT just assume that the person that is helping you at the desk is pulling up your truck is the one that you should take.
I wish I had read the reviews before scheduling and paying for a hitch install. They texted me to say they needed to reschedule twice. It’s now been a month since I paid for the hitch and I have yet to get an appointment. When you call the location you get routed to a call center and I have not been able to get off hold after waiting even 45 minutes. Now I’m just hoping I can get my money back. Absolutely do not try to get a hitch here.
This place is awful. I left my water bottle here and have been trying to call and see if they have it. Every time I call it routes me to a call center and I have to wait 20 minutes just to talk to someone. I came here to the store again a week after my first visit and they dont have it. Never using uhaul again and especially not this location.
The problem with this place is the location staff. The guy who I asked a question acted like I was robbing his house. Why do companies hire customer service people who clearly should not be working with humans?
The manager of this store doesnt even deserve the 1-star but so be it. I made a Ubox reservation with the manager at the Tigard location in August 2020 and went to pick my Uboxes up at said location on October 4th, but the manager told me, without even asking for a reservation #, name, etc., told me that they dont even have Uboxes at that location (not true). He said my Uboxes were to be picked up at Lake Oswego. So I called Lake Oswego and they said they didnt have the right amount of Uboxes for me to pickup because the reservation was transferred to them by the manager of the Tigard store at 9:45 that morning (I reserved 3). Come to find out the manger of the Tigard store does this to them OFTEN. LO did their best to get 2 Uboxes ready for me to take that afternoon. While waiting, I called the Tigard location to try to understand why this happened, the manager proceeded to be extremely rude and unprofessional, not even taking ownership of HIS mistake. He even went so far as to say that I was told weeks ago that my reservation had been transferred to Beaverton. I was so upset by the way I was treated that I filed a complaint with Uhual Corporate and they confirmed that at no time was my reservation ever transferred to Beaverton. I will never use Uhaul again due to this treatment. Its too bad that the manager of one store can ruin the Uhaul name as a whole. He should be fired.
If i could give 0 stars, I would. The staff is not helpful, and forget trying to call the location - they never pick up their phone. Do yourself a favor, and find literally any other storage facility.
Had a hitch installed incorrectly at Uhaul. They then incorrectly scheduled subsequent appointments 4x before they finally were able to look at my vehicle to correct the problem. Incredibly rude, inefficient, and disorganized location. Strongly recommend you visit another uhaul location. Management is terrible.
Quick service and quality vehicles is the reason I use this place. The staff are friendly and efficient.
I would probably rate them 0 if I could. They are literally stealing your money. They gave me a quote of $26 for 6 miles. And I didnt even drive 5 miles and returned them. The next day my fees were $52.69. They are robbing people.

As with most Uhaul locations, be aware THEY ARE TRYING TO NICKLE AND DIME YOU FOR EVERYTHING THEY CAN! Be Sure: Ask all details and charges, demand answers on fees and price-rates and NEVER just let them control the experience on you. If you think colleges are notorious for hidden charges, then you would LOVE how they treat you hear. Be intelligent, dont let them charge you for nothing like theyd prefer.
Very helpful with my recent move. The employees were very nice and helpful. They have you fill the gas tank when your done, I ended up only going like 4 miles the whole trip, but I still had to fill the tank. It was less than a dollar and kind of annoying, but it was okay. Also, I wish they informed you that you need to buy straps to keep your furniture from sliding in the back. I know its common sense but this was my first move and it would be helpful if they had like a checklist on the wall or something.

I needed to get a tow hitch installed on my car, so I purchased the hitch and scheduled the service for this past Sunday morning. The time I selected was presented to me by Uhaul. I showed up to my appointed time, confirmed in an email, and they said I was not on the schedule, but instead they had moved my appointment to a Monday, mid-day. I asked why they would do that without contacting me, and was told that the record showed that contact had been attempted, but not answered and that they had called me at some point. I had no record of a missed call from them, and had not been left a voicemail by anyone, so I was never informed that my appointment was changed to a work day when I cant make it. They refused to help me on the date of service that I had scheduled and confirmed, and when I mentioned that I was displeased with that, they did not apologize, but instead repeated well, it looks like we tried to tell you. They then told me the only open weekend time they have is now two weeks out, on a day Im out of town.I got a refund on my hitch and will be going elsewhere to get one installed later this week.
If youre looking for trailer and hitch wiring accessories or info these guys know their stuff. Great selection of trailer stuff, helpful and knowledgeable staff and decent prices make this place a 5 star. Yippee, now my trailer has lights!! Thanks Larry for your help, see you again. I have had to call the office several times over the past few months. The young woman who answers is always very helpful and pleasant. Excellent customer service.
We needed a truck for a short time to pick up a couple of couches a friend was giving away. We had to pre-pay up front for much more than we needed it, with the promise that wed be refunded the unused portion if we bring back the truck under a set number of miles. Not a bad deal, given that you have the money to put up front to begin with. But the trucks are easy to drive and have plenty of space. A great option for in-city moving/hauling/etc.
The location is a complete joke. I reserved a truck a week in advance. When I stopped to pick it up I was told by the customer service guy, Blaze, that it was unavailable. The manager offered to give me a much smaller truck. I explained that taking a smaller truck would require two trips instead of the one. I was offered to be compensated for half my miles if that happened, which it did. When looking at what I was billed rather than comp half my mileage I was given 5 cents off per mile which comes no where close to what was offered. When I called to explain the situation and receive a credit the girl on the phone told me it wasnt her problem.....
I have frequented this location several times over the years with good service. But my daughter rented a truck to move to southern Oregon and had a really disturbing experience. She rented and filled a truck, but it started snowing and kept snowing. Roads were closed and freeways required chains or traction devices. The truck had neither. So they were stranded with a full truck for several days. The truck couldnt have been rented to anyone else because it didnt allow for chains. After some melting, she got to her location and was charged the FULL price for the days the truck was unusable and stuck in her driveway instead of the U-Haul lot. Not a good decision on U-Hauls part.
The worst service I have ever had.I made an appointment to have a hitch repaired since I was rear-ended and I needed the hitch for an upcoming event. The woman on the phone ordered the hitch for me and set the appointment for Thursday. I came in and dropped off my vehicle. I was told to come back in two hours and it would be finished. I came back and it hadnt even been started! The manager ignored me, even though he was there. He instead had the innocent desk receptionist try to make the situation better. I was told I wouldnt be charged for the installation since I had a lifetime warranty on my existing hitch and given the situation, they wanted to make it right. I had to bring back my car two days later, because they had no more appointments. I never got an apology from the manager, but instead missed my event AND I was charged. I will never come back to this location, or maybe Uhaul again.
Nice clean vehicles. Helpful associates. U-haul it is what it is, just nice service is always a plus when clearly your moving something and have get things done.
Larry and Hosea were probably my best experience at Uhaul when I had a big problem that I incurred myself. Social graces by the helpful ladies at the desk were another reason to give a 5 star rating...one of the reasons I keep coming back to Uhaul since 1968. We live in the area and have used this U-Haul for many things over the years...trucks, trailers, long distance moves and they have always served us well. I can easily give them 5 Stars and would not hesitate to recommend them.
The most incompetent staff of any place I have ever been a customer of. I had no choice but to use them. My experience was so awful I wrote to the district manager. We stood in line for a VERY long time, had an employee just walk out because they were done working there. Almost every vehicle I’ve rented has been dirty, broken, etc. Just always a cluster when I go here. Try the one in Sherwood. It’s not that much further and it’s SOOOO much better.
I read a lot of negative reviews regarding this facility but found none to be true during my visit. Friendly, professional, reasonable pricing. Ill definitely be using this Uhaul again.

I waited for over 45 minutes for live verification during the self pick-up process which is advertised as being the faster option. I was then charged $37 for not refilling the tank, even though I drove the pickup for 9 miles. Maybe if I hadnt lost an hour of my time during pickup, there would have been time to put a half gallon of fuel in.When I asked @UHaul_Cares to please make things right, they refused to budge because I didnt call them to arrange an extension. Terribly unprofessional to blame the customer because you wasted their time.Overall it was an awful experience a real waste of time and money. So long and thanks for the $65 bill for a 9 mile, 40 minute trip.

I had rented a 6x12 trailer from this location. The trailer was hooked up and coupled by a uhaul employee. Not once did I remove the trailer from the hitch. While driving with a full payload, the trailer decoupled and slammed into the back of the truck. The general manager blamed me and charged me the damage to the trailer. While only a 96 dollar charge, the principal that uhaul would not own the fact that the clip on the coupler or installation of the trailer was faulty, and instead blamed me, has lost uhaul a lifetime customer. My family has been driving uhaul since as long as I can remember and I have been renting them and driving them since I was 18. I will no longer rent or drive from uhaul and I am in the process of moving my storage elsewhere.Im sure Im just one customer out of hundreds of thousands to them, and the general manager definitely made me feel that way.

Can not believe how horrible the customer service is at this uhaul. From the moment we get there we are greeted by guy who tells us we cant park where we did and demanded we move to a another business parking where clearly says auto body parking only violates will be towed. Then the lady at desk helping us asked if we had reservation for truck we said no She proceeded to say thats funny. Then said lets see what we can get for procrastinators. She tells us we can get a 20th truck and after getting almost done says she cant because the truck is only one way.Then after returning the truck the hand truck fell out of its holder so we were charged for a hand truck that we did not use.
These guys were awesome.. after having bad luck and not so great customer service at the Beaverton store these guys were on point. Professional and friendly personal, they literally went to my truck mesaured the clearence and installed the correct hitch I needed.. not only that, but they hooked the trailer up and loaded my car. For a minute there I thought it was dealing with the owner.. I was in and out within 30 min all hooked, loaded, and all paper work done.

Beware! U-Haul quoted $49.90 plus $0.69 per mile. I drove 7 miles. they charged my CC $82.49. I called them to ask why, no help. Just a burn! Will not use again and cannot recommend, A quote is a quote, except when a business does not honor them.
Service was pretty quick and friendly but a lil rushed too. Wasnt told I had to set up an account to return my uhaul after hours and when I tried to set it up the website was not working so just had to return it and hope it all goes ok, which was a but disconcerting.
Ron Raymaker- The guy with the glasses I believe. Resign. You are horrible at your job. Your presence alone is enough not to come to this location. Dress with a little more integrity.He once took a blanket away from me claiming it was his property.. The blanket was mine and had no uhaul marking on it whatsoever. There was a bimbo working the counter as well. I started pulling up Yelp on my phone, and she snarled yelping us are ya?!? we love feedback! well here ya go. Avoid at all costs. Go with Budget or Penske even if their more expensive.

I reserved a 26 Uhaul a month and a half in advance. They called me three days prior to moving day to confirm that I still needed the truck which I confirmed that I did. I showed up on moving day at 8am to get the truck. I waited for 20 minutes just to be helped at the counter, and then when it was my turn they go through the whole process of checking me out only to be told that uh, that truck had a dead battery last night...Im not sure if they fixed it or not. He pages his truck fetcher and he tells him that yes indeed the battery is still dead. They have no other 26 trucks available. Meanwhile I have movers at my house ready to move my things because I have now been there at Uhaul for 45 minutes. I have to start paying for their time even though I am not there for them to load things. So Uhauls best option was to send me all the way out to Beaverton to pick up a different truck with no compensation for the hassle or the money I am now wasting on movers that are just sitting in their truck at my house. I was angry and there was no ownership on their part for the extra stress added to my already stressful day. Thanks for nothing guys.

Came in yesterday to reserve and get a quote on renting a truck.. I was told $99 and $5 environmental fee. So, I get there this morning, and was told $135.

Unfortunately there is no option for a zero. This uhaul location is run by criminals, con artist and scum bags. Ron Raymaker the manager is a vile person and compulsive liar. I paid for a one way truck to Jacksonville Florida couple of weeks. The truck Broke down in Wyoming, the transmission went out. The local uhaul mechanic in Laramie Wyoming came out to meet me he looked at the truck, looked at the transmission and said to me that the truck had not had an oil change for a very long time, it was a quart low. Also someone at uhaul had put MOTOR oil in the transmission and that was the ONLY reason why the truck broke down. The gentlemen also said he was shocked that we even made that far. Ron Raymaker and his boss dave shafer another vile and disgusting human being REFUSED to take responsibility for the truck. They used the excused of the truck having too much cargo in it. All we did was simply load the truck with household contents. Uhaul should explain how it is they they offer car towing and trailer services to go along with fully packed trucks?????? how much more weight does a car and a trailer add??? Long story short it took 4 days to replace the broke down truck with a new truck, we had to fly back to Wymoing $500 flight, pay for local movers to load the new truck $240, 3 nights at hotels $300, the truck before breaking down had a full tank of gas Uhaul gave the new truck at half full. Ron and Dave are animals to say the least, rude, and money hungry. Im not sure how these two vile low life scum bags can look at themselves in the mirror.

Nice staff, responsive communication, rented vehicles here multiple times and a storage unit without problems. Only caution is with some of the very large trucks - some are very old and scary to drive.
Used this place for moving supplies for both a house and business move. The people are ok and they had what I needed. They bought back the unused boxes as advertised. I cant comment on the trucks or storage, but for supplies its a fine place.

The trailers are utilitarian...the service is too. Manager was quite snippy over the phone in trying to garner a trailer 2 hours prior to opening. Though I have rented many times in the past from this location.

Like all UHaul locations, youll have to deal with so so customer service since its not like you have many other options to choose from when renting a moving truck. Our 10ft truck had AC that didnt work well at all and while driving at night, we didnt know that one of the headlights was out. Got a nonchalant response when I went to drop it off. The truck only had 9300 miles on it.
They have a take-one leave-one bin with free boxes. A large selection of for sale boxes.
This place usually has available trailers. The line is usually short, and the agents are knowledgeable and helpful.
