I froze my wedding cake and finally tried it today, 7 weeks after the wedding. It sat in the freezer and still tasted AMAZING. In a full slice it tasted even better than the samples we originally tried. Even the buttercream outside was good. We had carrot cake and vanilla cake. Seriously good wedding cake, I highly recommend!! Wish I had more.

We LOVED the cake we got for our wedding. They went above and beyond and make sure to give us exactly what we wanted. We couldnt be happier. The flavor was absolutely PHENOMENAL. The BEST cake we have ever had. It was super moist and it tasted even better than it looked which wasnt easy to do as it was decorated beautifully. I highly recommend getting any type of special, unique, custom cake, cupcakes, ect. They will work with you and make all your sweet dreams come true!

Creative Cakes made our beautiful, elegant, and insanely delicious wedding cake. From the start, Fran was an absolute pleasure to work with. Even when they were busy, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Fran and the customer service I experienced. We did 3 large tiers, with three different flavor combos, and each was better than the next. Even with our sweets table, I truly dont think any of the served cake went uneaten! My husband selected what I thought to be an interesting combo (to say the least) for the smallest top tier, and it ended up being our favorite! Banana cake with hazelnut mousse.. I cannot wait to get a repeat for our first anniversary. Their buttercream cannot be beat! I’m disappointed with my daughters 1st birthday cake from creative cakes bakery. I am giving it two stars because it tasted good, but besides that it was not what I wanted. I feel like they are just too busy of a bakery and are too lazy to do a better job. I made a request of them putting my daughters birthday date on the cake and they wrote on the star with a plain pen which I did not find appropriate…I believe they also said they were going to have drawn a cluster of stars on the cake where they had my daughters birth date besides the 2 candy stars and I didn’t know they were going to have the stars just standing up on the cake I thought it was just the rocket.I expected a lot more and got a lot less.I wanted color all over the cake Delaney said they would do it very colorful and like I wanted in the picture… they didn’t do the whole cake with color it was white with some splatter on it pretty much. it could have been whoever was doing the cake didn’t have time or what not which means they need to hire more help or should have been honest and said we do not have time to do your cake. I hope they start being more honest! I regret not giving another bakery my business.

I showed Creative Cakes a few pictures of what I wanted our centerpieces (cupcakes that looked like bouquets of flowers) to be for our wedding and they totally nailed it. I got quotes from several bakeries and they were the most reasonably priced. Guests kept asking us where we got our centerpieces from. They were delicious too!

I absolutely loved dealing with them during my process of the wedding. They were really great. For our anniversary cake not so much. Terrible experience dealing with the person who deals with the wedding cakes. They originally told me from the beginning they don’t do more than 1 tier and won’t do the gum paste flower but would do a flower with frosting. So I completely understood that. When my husband picked up our cake this is what we got. The first picture is our original second picture our anniversary cake. It literally looks like globs of pink frosting were just thrown onto the cake. When I brought it to her attention. She got defensive and actually called what they did cascading pink frosting down the side. Absolutly nothing like how they did before. And also my husband came all the way from Indiana to pick it up so there and back he made a 2 hr trip for this. No flower. Globs of frosting thrown on there. And the lady didn’t seem to care one bit. Wouldn’t go back just for the fact of customer service.

This place IS AMAZING!!! I had a hard time finding a bakery near me in South Holland. I came across them because of channel 9. I decided to go and give them a try their banana split cupcake won me over so fast. I ordered my sons first communion cake and everyone was in love with how delicious it was. Thank you!

There arent enough words to compliment this company. We have used them for every birthday, special occasion, holiday and even our own wedding. Our orders are always ready, the attention to detail and our requests is spot on. And the cake itself, well, lets say not once in 17 events has there ever been leftover cake. My granddaughter ordered a buttercream cake with buttercream filling/frosting and explained that she didnt like whip cream but it was missing sugar. I called the next day and reported it and was asked to send a picture which I did. The employee called back and said the cake was made to order and ...it must have been the European style which was different to me...which was not mentioned at the time of my ordering. What is European style? Even though I am clearly not European...sugar is sugar... Refund plz

Our wedding cake tasting at Creative Cakes was one of the easiest and most fun parts of our wedding planning. We loved trying all the different cake combinations and looking at all the different wedding cake styles. Most importantly, the cake was delicious! Everyone that we worked with was so friendly and helpful. They offered us suggestions on cake sizes and styles, and we were able to choose multiple flavors for our wedding day. Not impressed with their customer service. Last Thursday I stopped in to order a cake for my sister‘s 55th birthday. The young lady behind the counter advised me that I had to order a cake online because they were not taking cake orders in person. The following day Friday I placed a cake order online and even uploaded sample pictures of what I wanted the cake to look like on the inside and the outside. Five days later someone from the bakery called me to address my online order I advised her that I had placed an order with another bakery because they took too long to address my online cake inquiry.The day I had initially went in to place the online order I did pick up a few of their miniature pastries. Their prices seem to be on the high side. I was not impressed with the miniature pastries and I don’t think I’ll be returning back to this bakery which is based on their lack luster customer service and their prices being so high.

I really cannot say enough good things about this place. I was in a big bind and they were able to make a themed cake for me with about 24 hour notice. It was very fairly priced as well. On the way to pick it up I ran into a bit of traffic and they even accommodated me there. I was probably a nightmare customer and they could not have been nicer. To top it all off, the cake was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the whole team here!

I am long time customer of this bakery and I generally enjoy every cake I ordered. But the most recent cake I ordered was not what I expected. I ordered a yellow cake with white chocolate mousse filling. Overall the cake was good but I could not tell if filling was truly white chocolate or just the usual cream used to frost the cake. I could definitely tell that it was not mousse. I called about the issue and a young lady told me to send over a pic and she checked with the bakers. She then said it was indeed mousse and that mousse had a whip cream consistency. After disagreeing with her, she was very rude and said well I dont know what else you want me to do about it, as if Im wasting her time. I called back to speak with a manager, who wasnt any better. She kept with the same story and even went so far as to lie to me and tell me mousse is just a fancy french word for whip cream, when in fact is a french word for form. They were disrespectful, indifferent, obnoxious and insensitive. I even stated to the manager that it feels like they are blaming customers for being unaware of difference between their understanding and the bakerys understanding of culinary terminology. Overall their attitude was we fulfilled the order regardless if the order actually taste as stated. So I choose not to continue supporting a business with that kind of attitude!

The most UNFLAVORED BLAND cupcakes I’ve ever had. Very DISAPPOINTING for a Bakery....The ONLY cupcake that tasted ok was the carrot cake one. The frosting was very bland regardless of the sweetness level in your response. The cupcakes themselves had absolutely no flavor.

I asked for an elegant and very special cake for my sisters 40th birthday. I was charged extra for decorations that I didnt receive. They copied the cake I sent a picture of for inspiration and left the most of the cake bare. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED!!!! I wish I wouldve went somewhere else. This was supposed to be a special cake.

My family loved the cake and cookies I got from Creative Cakes. We usually go elsewhere for something special, but I decided to try from here after a colleague of mine recommended (he brought cookies to try).My Aunt, the birthday girl, said it was probably the best cake shes ever had. It wasnt anything too special. 10 round white, whipped cream frosting, chocolate mousse center. Pretty basic, but so good. There wasnt a sliver left.We will be ordering from them again!

I would highly recommend Creative Cakes for your wedding cake. It was very easy to work with Becky over the phone to determine what kind of cake we wanted, and their prices were wonderful. When we had to change our plans due to COVID and needed to drastically downsize the amount of cake, Creative Cakes made the process seamless. They provided us a beautiful simple cake for our small affair. The cake was very delicious, and my sister-in-law even said it was the best wedding cake she has ever had. The cake was even able to survive a few hours on an extremely hot Saturday in July. You won’t regret going with Creative Cakes!

One of the BEST bakeries in Chicagoland! I had my daughter’s 13 year old birthday cake done here and I was so pleased that I came back to have her Sweet 16 cake done here. I have had their cakes before on several occasions. My niece also get them for her children as well. Unfortunately that was as not my experience. My sister purchase the cake for me and we paid over 50 bucks for the smallest cake. I requested fresh strawberries bananas inside the cake as filling. There was barely any bananas and almost zero strawberries. It was my special birthday my first cake ever in my life.( I never had a cake or a party since I was a foster kid ). This was a very special day for me and the cake was horrible. Everyone said it was tasteless and the fruit filled filling was even worst. I am extremely sadden. I really expected better from such a well known place.

The Yankees birthday cake was a HUGE hit for my husband’s baseball themed birthday party! Absolutely perfect on the outside and SO delicious on the inside (chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse). Ordering the cake was very easy too—all completed online/via email (except for calling to pay-which also quick and efficient) and the bakery was very prompt and responsive to emails. I was so impressed and will be ordering from Creative Cakes in the future!

Great cakes. Did our wedding cake 19 years ago. Every celebration we get our cakes here. We live far so every time I am in the area my hubby says get a cake. I call them a just because cake. My kids put fingers in buttercream so the picture has fingerprints in icing.

I went to this local bakery for some Paczki’s, on Paczki day(Fat Tuesday). I believe they are a very good bakery but their “Paczki” are just ‘GOURMET’ DONUTS! They did not at all feel, taste or even look like a paczki! Was very disappointed, because I was looking forward to an actual paczki and not a donut! Will definitely have to go back to my original bakery for paczkis to fulfill my sweet tooth!

Paid $194 for a cake that looks like someone rushed through it. It looks nothing like the quality of the cakes that they advertise in their gallery on the website. When I said I was upset with the quality, they were offended and rolled their eyes at me. A $200 cake should not look like a 5th grader made it. Very unpleasant experience and absolutely do not recommend giving them your business or money. They offered no resolution for this situation. Unprofessional.

My husband and I did a wedding cake tasting here - we loved the option to pick it up and bring it back home as we had a rather uncomfortable, awkward cake tasting at another place. Despite growing up in Tinley, I think that was my first having Creative Cakes. The cakes did not disappoint, we loved how the mousses and cakes were separate so we could mix and match flavors, and Creative Cakes’ banana cake is what inspired us to do one tier of our wedding cake banana flavored!

Creative cakes made our wedding cake and donut wall for our wedding! It was absolutely nothing short of amazing. Becky is the BEST you’ll find. She is so attentive to detail and beyond helpful. The rest of her staff was also very helpful taking our ideas for our cake and making them come to life during our tasting since at first we weren’t very sure what we wanted our cake to look like. You won’t be disappointed!!!

My fiancee and I decided on having Creative Cakes make our wedding cake. We have had a great experience with all of the staff we worked with. We were impressed with the cake tasting and even got some extra to take to our parents to try and help narrow down our favorites. The time spent with us going over the details and the artistic rendering also helped with our decision. We are now just waiting for our big day. We also had lunch and the food was good too.

With the covid-19 lockdown, I needed to quickly grab some cupcakes for Mothers Day. So Saturday late afternoon, I was trying to figure out some dessert. I walked up to the door where they had instruction sheet for curbside pickup. They had quit taking orders for the day, but they were able to quickly put me together some cupcakes so that I didnt ruin Mothers Day. I really appreciate all of their efforts to get my order filled! The cupcakes were light and moist. The frosting was not too sweet. They were even able to get me a gluten-free one on such short notice. Absolutely perfect.

A great local bakery. The salted caramel cupcakes are super addictive. The little piece of caramel on top, sends me over the top! It is hard not to stop by and indulge everytime I drive by this place. My business clients always look forward to seeing me, but especially when they see me carrying a box of these great treats.

We get all of our party cakes from Creative Cakes. Their designs are so amazing they look too good to eat. At the last party it was a donut theme for our 1 yr old granddaughter. Guests were all talking about the donut wall and how good the donuts were. I’m not a donut person but these were absolutely perfect looking and soooo delicious!! I will definitely be going back for more.

I usually rate Creative Cakes Bakery 5 stars. This time around wedding cake experience not so great. Planning for wedding cake experiences is a memorable activity. Due to my personal experience being great. I have joined and referred others.The person helping appeared to be assigned many duties. Instead of just attending to wedding party (She moved around alot) She did not rush the clients but it wasnt intimate and personal. When requesting to taste cream cheese and coconut creams it wasnt available and I believe she asked but the person in the back did not provide and or comply. In which create limits for tasting experience.

I had a last minute event change and they were sooo helpful with getting me the cake I needed. the customer service was sweet and inviting. The cake tasted wonderful. !! And everyone loved it !!! Definitely will be coming back!!!

They made our wedding cake through a deal with the Westin in Lombard where we had our reception. I usually dont even like wedding cakes because they usually end up being a little dry. But I must say, the cake at our wedding was spectacular. A lot of the guests thought the same thing. It was moist and delicious and the butter cream was great. Only complaint was that it was all gone and we couldnt pack some to take home!

I pick my cake on Nov.23,Saturday was very happy with presentation of the cake until we cut it.... I was totally disappointed!!! Look like I paid for icing cake with very little cake to eat. More icing than cake☹😫😥🤣

Creative cakes did our wedding cake along with a sweets table. Due to our venue we had a few options for places to go to and my husband and I picked this one because of the reputation. The package we got was a smaller cake so we could do sweets as well. Our cake was beautiful and it tasted delish! We were able to do each layer of cake a different flavor. Creative cakes also made our cake topper our of fondant and it was perfect! The only issue we had was that we had 175 people and it didnt seem like we had nearly enough sweets or cake. There were no leftovers and my husband and I were told by quite a few guests that they never even got any sweets. Other than that they were a real joy to work with and everything was really good!

Fabulous bakery-best in the area! Not only are their cakes works of art, but they taste as great as they look! We get our Fat Tuesday paczkis here every year, and they have all kinds of unique and gourmet offerings. I love the expanded cafe, and the owners and staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Its a great place to meet with friends for lunch. In the summer there is an outdoor patio.
