Her name started with an A and ended with an A, she was so efficient in helping pick what style looks best on me and to get them ordered and her patience with paying. She was wonderful!!! I was at the Tinley Park 191st Street. Thank you for her.Vicki

I only gave one star because zero stars was not an option! I spent hundreds on my progressive lens glasses. Within a month they are terribly scratched; it looks as though the scratch resistant coating is coming off. I called and was told that since I did not get a protection plan they wont even take a look at them. I am furious! I am a 62 year old teacher; its not as if Ive been careless with them and Ive been wearing glasses for years and NEVER had a scratch problem. I will never use Target Optical again. Please do not shop here!

Great Customer service! Alicia was very knowledgeable and helped me out to get the best deal for 2 pairs of glasses and contacts, and explained all options easy enough to understand! When contacts were not available she sent them to my house. Would definitely recommend this location! When my glasses came in I got I got call right away and was able to pick them up that same day with out any trouble. Over all very satisfied.

I can’t say enough good things about the Target Optical in Tinley Park. It’s one of those places where you walk in and they try and help you leave happy. It’s also one of those places that you don’t say thank you just because it’s polite, but because you actually appreciate it.

Definitely would recommend for a friendly and time efficient visit. Appointments seem to be spaced out well, so you don’t feel rushed.

Horrible customer service! I called twice to double check if they still had a valid prescription (within 2-years) on file. I was told yes and drove out there. I waited before they let me in and after looking at frames, I was told I would need a new exam to purchase glasses and would have to pay an additional $29 for some type of procedure due to covid.

Never coming back here again! I got a text from them and said my pick up was ready, I went in for a pick up. Then the lady gives me a hard time and saying you have to have an appointment only and the text did not say that at all. I do not remember them telling me that. The lady says you should’ve been told that after your exam, then I said I wasn’t told that for a pick up. Luckily I got my pick up. Dr. Mindi was nice, the ladies in the lobby are so Sassy & Rude. So I will never be back here again.

I had my exam with Target Optical on 12/19/20 and picked up my glasses on 1/2/21. As I was driving, I noticed that things in the distance (i.e. traffic lights) looked a little blurry, so I called and spoke to a sales associate the same day. She stated that I just needed to keep wearing the glasses and it takes 2 weeks for my eyes to adjust. I reluctantly agreed to continue wearing them. I did a couple of other tests the same day--I pulled into a parking lot to compare the distance with the new glasses and my old ones; the new glasses were slightly blurry in the distance while the old ones were still clear. At home, theres a sign on my wall with large and small letters; with the new glasses, the smaller letters were slightly blurry and with the old glasses, the letters were clear. I also had a headache and suspected that the prescription was off/incorrect.I called Target Optical on Tuesday 1/5/21 and explained to the sale associate that something had to be off with the prescription; Id never experienced a headache and never had issues with seeing clearly every time I received a new pair of glasses. I received the same response--continue wearing the glasses. I insisted that something was off and said that Id been wearing them (which wasnt true; I only wore them for one day. I admit that I wasnt honest about wearing them for more than 1 day, but I wanted someone to listen to me and wanted the glasses to be checked). The sales associate scheduled me for an Rx check on 1/11/21.On 1/11/21, the sales associate looked at my old glasses and new glasses; she asked how long Id been wearing the new ones. I told the truth and stated that I only wore them for 1 day. She said that the lenses couldnt be sent out for repair because they (Target) didnt know if my eyes adjusted to them. Once again, I had to tell her that Id never experienced this with any other pair of glasses. The sales associate did give me the option to choose another frame (she said the issue could be the lenses--the size or because theyre high-index) and I looked for another frame. After thinking about all of this, I was concerned that the problem wouldnt go away. I decided to get a refund and was able to do so.Im happy that I got my money back but as a long-time customer of Target Optical, Im disappointed with the service (I will say that the staff and doctors have been pleasant throughout the years). I didnt feel like I was listened to or that my concern/issue mattered. Ive gotten glasses from this location for years and the prescription was always correct; I never had an issue, even if my prescription changed slightly. Being told that your eyes have to adjust to something that isnt correct is absurd. And yes, mistakes can occur, but it wouldve nice to be examined by the doctor again. Ive also had high-index lenses in different sizes with different types of frames previously and didnt have an issue.Im the one who has to wear the glasses, Im the one whos paying for them (in addition to using insurance) and I have to be able to see correctly.

This was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had as a customer. After three attempts, I still don’t have my contacts. Associate ordered the wrong color and not only do I have to wait more time to get the right ones; but I’m also expected to drive an hour out of my way to correct the error. Associates seem not to have any clue as to fixing their mistakes. Total waste of my time.Update: Three weeks later I’m still waiting on a phone call, email, or just some acknowledgement of my issue beyond a template response. I’ve contacted this “service” team to no avail. Consumer beware any issues you have will NOT be handled.

The doctors here make it mandatory that you must do a retinal picture exam which is another cost of $29 AFTER insurance is billed. I find this practice absolutely horrendous, and how can you force patients for a test that they need to pay for? and if the patient denies, then the doctor will not see you. (Dr Patel). How is this a legal practice/policy?

This is my second visit in 3 years. Dr. Patel is awesome. We picked up on a conversation we had over a year ago like it was yesterday. Shes very professional and knowledgeable. I have recommended her to all my friends and family. This is the one doctor I look forward to visiting. My dentist? Not so much. My blood pressure doctor? Very close second. My eye doctor? ROCKS👍

Took them time to acknowledge me when I (& other clients) came in. I needed only a minor service which I was unsure if they performed. I and one other customer waited 15-20 minutes before both leaving in frustration. Luckily VisionWorks nearby was able to assist me in more minutes.

I went here for a new pair of glasses. I bought frame and lenses. The lenses turned out to not be the correct Rx, they change the Rx which is fine its part of the 90 days warranty. However when I went to pick up the new lenses I gave them the frames. The person put the lenses the wrong way, when i got home it made me feel dizzy and the frame got warped. I went the next day (30 min drive) and thats when they told me that the lenses were placed the wrong way. Imagine if it was a kid, they probably wont be able to know that something is wrong thus probably affecting their sight even worse. I might not come back here and I am still sending an official letter to Target corporate, there seems to be a lack of training here.

I had some trouble with a couple employees refusing to adjust my glasses. I talked to the manager, her name is Q, and she not only was very kind, she fixed the issue for me. Not only that, but she personally helped me with my sunglasses that I didn’t buy from there. I’ll admit, my glasses still aren’t where I expected them to be, but Q deserves 5 stars for her kindness, and customer service.

They fixed the nosepads on my current glasses for free, listened to what I had to say, put up with my pickiness (seriously, I will admit im picky when it comes to my glasses since I have to wear them all the time and cant wear contacts) and glasses were ready in less than a week. No complaints :) everyone was super sweet.

Customer service is very poor at this location, I had an apportionment today at 12:20pm, I called them at 12pm to let them know I’ll be a couple mins late, they said I had a 10 min grace period. I was ok with that, I arrived at 12:25pm. There was two Optical employees when I arrived, one employee was on the phone with another patient scheduling an appointment & answering insurance questions and the other employee was at the desk helping another patient with glasses. When the employee got off the phone, she offer to check me in. She then tells me that I can no longer be seen because it was 12:32pm and there was a 10 min grace period. I told her I arrived about 5-6 mins ago, how was it my fault that they were taking forever to check me in and she said there’s nothing she can do for me.

This isnt where you go if youre legitimately having trouble with your vision. The doctors seem kind of nonchalant. I was literally told between two trial pair Id need to pick the lesser of two evils.. only to never recieve the second trial pair. A waste of $80.

This Target Optical has been a very nice place to come to in the past for Contacts and Glasses, but lately it has been a total nightmare because of the store manager Quiana. She has been nothing but rude to say the least, inconsiderate & ill-mannered. There has never been a time I have gone in here or been on the phone with questions (when she has been working) that I have left or hung up happy. Unfortunately I am still dealing with a problem here (Tinley Park Target Optical) but once I am finished, I will be finding another eye doctor to use. If anyone else has ever had a problem with Quiana, please contact there corporate headquarters, this woman should not be a store manager. She is going to cause people to look elsewhere, like I will be doing.....

The optometrist was super helpful and very knowledgeable! My only problem with the eye exam was that I made an appt for noon but wasnt taken in until around forty-five minutes later. Im assuming they just had a bit of a bad day, so I wont hold it against them. Id definitely get an eye exam here again. Especially since they only cost fifty dollars opposed to some places that push over a hundred dollars. Waiting just gave me more time to browse, anyway! The employees working the front were relatively helpful although they werent exactly up to date on pricing options or how a lot of insurances worked. They were very nice though and the women helping me even helped bring the cost down as best as she could, which was very sweet. The store itself has a pretty good selection of frames but its obvious they are pretty much supported by Ray Bans. Which I wont complain about because I love me Ray Ban! The prices are about the same opposed to the actual Ray Ban website. Speaking in terms of buying glasses, I was kind of shocked at the price. I dropped over 250 on a pair of glasses with the cheapest lens without anti-glare and etc.So overall, I think Ill definitely go through Target optics for future eye exams but I might look to an online glasses shop (possible bonlook or warby parker or something of the sort) to cut down on the cost and time, seeing how Ill have to wait around two to three weeks for glasses! Just a small yikes!
