Olympic Star Restaurant is a little gem…. I discovered this restaurant a few months ago. Such a big menu with a variety of food. I chose a Greek menu for my lunch today. Chicken Souvlaki dish ( fries, pita and Greek salad). It was delicious! Next time I will try pork. And by the way the portions are huge and prices are low. Very friendly staff. I recommend this place.
Good prices for good food. The $11.99 champions plate is so worth the price and is good for big hungry stomachs. SUPER quick service, we waited less than 10 mins to get our food after we ordered. Our waitress was keeping up with us without being up our arses. Very clean and open area with proper separators and distancing guidelines
This is a local gem place. I would consider this a diner but not just your average diner. They serve traditional Greek food. I got the pork Souvlaki dish which was traditional marinated pork, potato disks, a pita, and a Greek salad. I was absolutely in heaven while eating this dish and I convinced myself that it was so good I was going to eat it all! (I tried to but couldn’t because look at that generous portion!). The Gryo was also delicious and I would recommend both dishes when visiting. Our waiter was also SO friendly that his personality alone was enough to make me visit this restaurant again. Seriously you’re missing out if you don’t try this restaurant!
I spend the first 15 years of my life going here, moved for years and when I came back I was NOT disappointed.Its a very simple and reliable menu with amazing staff, good food and fair prices.I honestly cannot stress enough how much this place will probably feel like home for you too.A+++Thank you so much for staying steady.

First and last time going here. Food has no taste, server was terrible - she paid absolutely zero attention to us while patrons that came in after us ordered, ate and left before we even got our order in. My meal made it to the table once everyone else was done eating, and it was wrong. They argued with me about having it removed from the bill. I understand everyone is understaffed, but they had multiple staff standing around chit chatting. As a server myself, I would be ashamed of providing a wedding party this type of service.
This was my first time here with a friend. What a great place. Our waitress was funny and good. Food variety is amazing and the food itself was even better. I had the Tom turkey and yum lol. Great place will become a regular for me.

This place is a joke now. I use to come here since I was little. If your placing an order online they require your credit card numbers. How do I know theyre not holding this information on file. Its a damn restaurant requiring a credit card 😆. Since moving out to Tinley 2 years ago im not coming here anymore. Ill never recommend this place either. Quality went down. Their customer demographic is primarily old people.
My party and I ordered breakfast and it was superb!!! It tasted like I had made it myself! The french toast had character and flavor, the scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was nice and crisp! Needless to say, I ate like a pig and needed to lifted out of there!! LoL 😂 Definitely shall return!! I was a big fan of the Country Charm in New Lenox, but I believe this place edges it out ever so slightly!

Food portion was good. Annoying part is the mask. All restaurants give ok take off once you are walk to table. Here we got put them on to order or when food comes or when they come by table. Happy they being safe but gotnfoodnin mouth n mask is a pain.. beside that beautiful old fashioned spot to eat at.
All im going to say is they had to remake my chicken with spinach and eggs scrambled soft skillet twice.
My husband and I normally love to eat here however Sunday night we came at about 9:30 PM the hostess they greeted us was quick to tell us that they were closing in 30 minutes and suggested that we get our order to go. I guess even after Covid this place is so good that they can now make customers feel like theyre not welcome there and dont need our business so we will never eat there again.
Each time I am around Tinley I stop by this wonderful place and fall in love with it all the time. They are welcoming, service is great and food is the most delicious. Healthy options are several too. Very impressive!

I have loved coming to Olympic star since I was a child the food is very good. I am so sad to see how covid has destroyed this once thriving business. They are terribly short staffed. And they really hiked up the pricing $5.50 for a regular cup of coffee wowza! I hope things go back to normal soon or I dont know if they will survive
As soon as we walked in at 9:21 PM, the host told us they close at 10 PM without greeting us.We were seated, had a young waiter who felt annoyed taking our simple orders of pasta. Well he got the order wrong, however the food was very tasty, props to the cook.That’s until I went in my car and then I had this strong stomach pain, sort of like a stabbing sensation. Pretty sure I got food poisoning.NOT coming back!
The food is mouth watering good and Id have to say I literally drive an hour and 20 minutes just to eat there and take home their amazing soup.... mmmm...
Food was tasty service was a little slow, however the waitress was nice.
We really enjoyed this place. Every once in a while theyre little off but most of the time you get the same quality. We come back often. In highly recommended.

The liver dinner is usually pretty good but Sunday is a busy day an dinners are rushed out my liver had still had batter on it I also had lots of burnt up onions on top the salad and potato was the best Sunday was not a good day for me at Olympic STAR

Pictures of the place are probably 20 years ago. The place was packed, but it was just a higher cost greasy-spoon place. Nothing special and no discounts for being a Veteran.

I used to go there each week back in the 1990s and I tell you there was no better place to eat. Leo, used to manage the place, he might still be around...I live in Central FL now and I miss the place their food was always good and fresh 😋

This is your classic Greek diner with big portions, delicious soup, and friendly service. Ive been going here for 20+ years whenever Im in the area. There are hundreds of other spots nearby to eat, but Olympic Star is a stand out and a favorite of mine.
They food is absolutely amazing and I enjoyed every bit of it and I will be coming back again with my kids next time

Definitely the best most local spot in town, everyone in Tinley knows this place. I think its the only place in the town where youll see old amd young people eating in the same restaurant. Pre-pandemic it was super popular with young people because it was open so late and the food is cheap. After a couple visits, youll recognize all the waitresses and youll become an easy regular. Id have to recommend the souvlaki plate or the greek chicken. Whatever spice mix they put on that chicken makes it taste like heaven. The greek owner can usually be found sitting around so you know its authentic. If you want to be a real local, you have to dine here.
