Michael and his wife came to our home to repair a several year old Thomasville leather sofa sectional. One of the seating areas had a broken wooden frame, and he fixed that right up, and they replaced all the foam in the cushions. It looks and feels like a new couch, and will last us many more years, as the leather is nice and soft and in great condition. Both Michael and his wife were very friendly, professional, did great work in just a couple of hours, and cleaned up the area as if no one had come in at all. The price was very reasonable, and certainly was a great alternative to having to buy a new sofa sectional. I highly recommend them.

Our leather sectional sofa was in need of some more stuffing and some seam repairs after man years of use by our family. Michael did such a great job it looks like new and all of this was done in our home, so no need to move this large piece of furniture in and out of the house. Michael did an outstanding job on restoring the cushion filling of our 20 year old leather sofa and 2 matching large chairs to like new condition. The entire process was done in our home in a matter of a few hours. The price was extremely reasonable and cost a fraction of what replacing them would have been. Two old but still excellent recliners would not return to their upright position. It was almost impossible to find someone to repair them. Fortunately, Action Furniture Repair was available. Due to the pandemic is took quite some time to get the replacement gas canisters that the chairs required, but Action Furniture kept us informed. Once the replacement parts were available, Action Furniture installed them quickly and efficiently, and they even vacuumed the detritus that had fallen into the chairs bottoms over the years. Michael came out yesterday to repair one of the two recliners that are attached to the ends of the wrap around sofa we have had for three years. We originally bought it from Rooms To Go, who graciously supplied us with two free motors in response to our complaints, in case that was the issue. We had also contacted Man Wah, the manufacturer, and their rep in North Carolina. He arrived, looked at all the possibilities, and discovered it was the power box that had broken. We were going to cannibalize the other recliner, but he had an extra powerbox. Once he installed it, the recliner worked like a charm. My wife was very happy, and he charged us a very reasonable price for everything. We would definitely use him again, and appreciate very much his expertise and efficiency in getting our sofa repaired!

I was very impressed with the workmanship that Michael and Sheri put into the repair of my sofa. It needed new springs and cushions plumped up! They did an awesome job .. and did it at my home -- so very convenient for me ! Ive been shopping for a new sofa, and, instead, now my old sofa feels like a new sofa! On time and very reasonable. Mike repaired 2 couches for me.. He was patient and very helpful in making sure I had all of the right information and parts for the repair. Did a great job of communicating throughout the quoting to completing process. Mike and Sheri came out and worked great as a team and knocked out my repair much quicker than I expected. Bonus points because they showed up in PPE due to covid which is a big deal to me and Ive had people come to do work that werent as willing and understanding.

So happy with these guys! Our dining table looked like new when they brought it back. Our table got some deep scratches when a tile cleaning company were moving furniture at home when they were cleaning our tile floors. They said we’ll get the table back in 3 weeks but surprise...got it back within a week! I was skeptical that they might not be able to match the original finish but they did! Give them a try with all your furniture repairs and you won’t regret it.

I had two companies come out to repair the mechanism on my Dads favorite chair and they said they would get back with me and they never did. A friend of mine told me to call Mike with Action and he had it replaced within Two weeks, he even added foam to the seat for free! Great work, reasonable prices and good service. Mike did a fantastic job refinishing our dining room trestle table which is well over 50 years old. The color and finish looks great! The table truly looks brand new. We are so pleased! We also had them fix our saggy couch. After just a few hours, the springs no longer squeak and our cushions are firm. It added years to the sofa. Recently, I had Action Furniture Repair resurface our dining table and reupholstered eight dining room chairs. Called Action Furniture Repair and set up a appointment. Mike said that he would be at my home between 5 and 7pm, showed at 5:15 as agreed. Mike gave me a quote on resurfacing the table and reupholstering the chairs. We agreed and he completed the job on schedule. The finish on the table was amazing, it shined better that when it was new. The chairs also look new. Great service, on time schedule, no surprises, and above all great craftsmanship. Would highly recommend.

The work is excellent. They have done 3 major pieces for me - a Victorian bed - repaired and replaced rails and slats; an antique Japanese Tonsu - refinished and repaired, and repaired a headboard and attached to a platform bed. They discussed the furniture problem on the phone, and indicated the feasibility of the repair and were very accommodating to my schedule. The bid for the work was accurate. The approximate time to complete the job was correct. Michael is proud of the work, and I think only excellence leaves his shop.

Called to have 4 dining room chairs covered. When I described the work I wanted done I was quoted a price over the phone and told the work would be done in my home. Two days later Mike showed up at the agreed upon time. My chairs were repaired exactly as I requested and I paid exactly the price quoted over the phone. Mike refinished a wood table for our family that we have had passed on for several years. He made it look brand new and we were very impressed with his work. He also touched up our dining room chairs and a few other pieces throughout the house for a very reasonable price. Michael came out to give me a free estimate to repair the collapsing seats on two leather club chair recliners my husband was ready to give up on. For less than the price of a new recliner from Sams or Costco, my chairs are almost new again—- minus the obvious wear on the leather (which I think is perfect!). He even did a small mechanical repair on one of the recliners I was unaware needed to happen. The work was done a week later at my home in under 2.5 hours. I’ve even talked to home about refinishing my breakfast table and chairs. Thank you for a job well done.

The owner is very courteous and returns calls promptly, but I cannot say that I was satisfied with the work done. It is very convenient that they do most work in your home (no transport fees) and do well to clean the area after, but when we explained the problem with our sofa, the issue was misdiagnosed. Thus, we spent a fair amount of money to in now way improve our furniture only to have them later notice that all that was missing were two legs. And, there were always a week between a call and a service visit, making the process very long. All in all, I was disappointed by the experience, but the owner is honest enough.

My experience with them was just wonderful. I had a large dresser refinished and the job was finished on time and the result was exactly what I was hoping for. Im excited to work with them again.

We had Action Furniture come out to give us an estimate on about 13 large pieces of furniture which were damaged. They do charge an estimate fee which wasnt told to us until after we had shown them two items that needed repair, which I thought was pretty weird. The estimate fee was reasonable and does go towards the cost of the repairs, so we went ahead with the estimate. The owner is the person who was doing our estimate and he was way more interested in his phone then doing the estimate. He was really unprofessional as far as writing down details and focusing on the estimate. He was continually texting during the whole time we were trying to show the damage that needed repair and we end up having to go over the damage two or three times, on some items, because he was on his phone. I understand that he has other customers, but it seemed like he just didnt have the time to do the estimate. Also, when our estimate came back it was missing one of the items so it took another week to get them to fix that and add the missing item to the estimate. We did not get any work done by them because of how poorly the estimate went.

Michael was great he added foam to our sectional and made it like new, and also he fixed the wooden leg on our dinner table where my 2 puppies chewed it.

They are true professionals, and I couldnt be happier with my experience with them. Id highly recommend them to anyone in need of any kind of furniture repair/restoration!

Substandard workmanship. That sums it up! Dimpled and bubbled fill work on a simple corner repair, and overspray all over undamaged portions of both pieces he worked on, including a white matellese coverlet on a bed that Mike attempted a finsh repair to the footboard, but did not adequately protect surrounding areas.Sloppy, amateurish work overall. And to think I hired him because I lacked confidence in my own ability to perform the repair satisfactorily. At the end of the day, I could have done better myself. I am a very unhappy camper!

Would recommend this company to anyone!
