I am giving it 5 stars so my review will go to the top of reviews and be seen by as many as possible......WARNING ....BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS ...There is a reason this place is not busy.... VERY EXPENSIVE. They do NOTHING for under a 100 dollars.Went in for a MUFFLER on my truck. When I picked my truck up at 60 MPH I couldnt even use my hands free the truck was so loud. Took it back to have then fix it right with a muffler.They refused to make it right without changing me another 100 dollars. Then they tried to keep the one they took off that I paid for WHY so they could put it on another vehicle because that what they did to me.When I got home and looked under the truck they put on a USED Toyota muffler on it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Excellent customer service, excellent final-product quality, and an overall pleasant experience with the staff. Very happy with my experience here and also happy with the Flowmaster installation for my 2015 mustang ecoboost. The welds on the muffler replacement and y-pipe was flawless and absolutely perfect, couldnt have asked for it any other way! This definitely made my car come alive and sound more throaty like a muscle car should, very highly recommend this location to anyone looking to install or replace mufflers/resonators/tips. *Side Note: when I asked the technicians why some reviewers said the welds on their exhausts done from this location were done poorly, they told me that some customers have rusted pipes on their exhaust systems prior to coming in which makes it difficult to weld parts togethe, so make sure to take that into consideration when bringing your vehicle here or to any muffler shop*

I was staying at the Home2 Suites Hotel on Willow Chase Blvd for the week visiting my daughter from Ohio and had one of my two catalytic converters on my V8 Sequoia sawed off in the front parking lot early in the morning on July 5th and stopped in to see what they could do for me as the drivers side of the exhaust was coming straight out of the engine and was loud like a drag strip car. I talked to Victor, and I was just looking for a straight pipe to run it out the muffler as I had 1,100 miles to drive home, and fix it right when I got home. He couldnt do that even though it is an Ohio vehicle, but offered to do the complete job with parts and labor for $200 out the door. See the before and after pictures below. Hector did the work and it looked like nothing was being done as some workers were having their meal break in the shop, but it was done in an hour like I was told. Ohio did away with the e-check and State inspections years ago, so I dont have that problem as is the case in Texas. My muffler shop in Ohio said it would cost about $2,235 worst case for both sides. That was less than 10% of that cost. There are some pockets of good people and businesses in the area, and this is one of them. For those who are stealing rare earth elements and metal from the converters, you WILL have to answer to a higher power some day as we all do. Took my brand new Camaro in today and within an hour and a half I had the sound that I wanted. This is my second time here for the same thing (on another car) and they did an amazing job once again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Went here about 6 months ago to have a small exhaust leak fixed, they said it was the muffler and it it needed to be replaced. They put a cheap universal muffler on that was no where close than the stock muffler it sounded worse and was crazy loud. So I went back and asked them to fix it. They said that was all they could do, unless we wanted them to replace the entire exhaust system. So we have lived with it for a while finally couldnt take the noise anymore. Ordered a replacement muffler designed to replace the OEM one for 100 bucks. Not sure where we will have it installed but there is no way it will be here. I still cant believe they charged me to make my vehicle operate worse than it had before I brought it to them. Then tell me I shouldnt have know thats what they were going to do because otherwise they would have quoted me a much higher price.

They are very professional and always give great service. Pricing cant be beat. Recommend this place highly.

I had a great experience, Victor was awesome! The entire staff here is extremely polite and professional. They got the work done earlier then expected and it was top notch. Even the welds on the exhaust pipes look like they were done by a machine. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Extremely disappointed in this business, they see money and they chase it. It doesnt matter if you have a dollar or 300 in your pocket theyre going to try to get every single one of them, needed a little fix on my exhaust and their response was over $100. When they did the work the quality of their Wells was subpar, I now have exhaust leak worse than I did when I came in. If I could give zero Stars I would, its that bad.

This shop is my new go-to for any related exhaust work. Alejandro is ultra professional and showed me how the previous shop messed up as well as what hes actually doing to fix it. He does top notch, quality work! This shop wont try to upsell you on stuff you dont need done and has AMAZING pricing. I honestly can say its well worth the 45 minute drive it takes me to get here. Do yourself a favor and get it done right the first time, you owe it to yourself!

I keep coming back to New Star because they are that good. I took them some parts and they cut and installed perfectly to fix a problem I had with my mustang. Quality work fair prices and good customer service.

Good work a bit pricey

I went in for a front end alignment and the guy said $60 dollars for alignment and extra for parts. On Saturday my mechanic put all new parts on. So after they seen all needed was an alignment the price went up to $120.00 and I needed a $60.00 dollar washer so my balance was $180.00 dollars. He said he told me from the beginning alignment was $120.00. and I know what he quoted me and i didnt need no parts. I will never do business there again and Im spreading the word. You dont have to pennie pinch your customers.

Horrible Customer Service, don’t waste your time or money!! The front desk staff spent the time chatting on the phone in Spanish without any effort to check in on customers walking in. You had to try to get her attention and even then there was little effort on her part. Finally a male overseeing the manual work comes in after a crowd had gathered in the small reception office. I was too frustrated to bother giving them my business and left to get my oil change/ inspection elsewhere.

Reading all the reviews, why did I pay $500 to replace 1 catalytic converter and it seems like everyone else paid $250 - $300

Did not follow what I asked them to do after we agreed to it and on top of that the system has a leak.

I brought my 69 Chevelle to New Star for a complete exhaust including all new piping, X pipe, chrome tips, the works. I absolutely love the way my car looks and sounds. I was very pleased with their level of service, quality of work, and their prompt/timely approach to completing each customer request. I would definitely recommend New Star Muffler.

I have been here more than a few times with several of my vehicles. I am so glad I found them. They do great work at a great price and are always quick. Every time I go there they are busy but it is never a long wait to have your car worked on. Theyre very friendly and eager to please the customer by doing your custom exhaust exactly how you want it. They also have a clean, comfortable air-conditioned waiting room.

Nice clean shop. Had exhaust work done there on my g37. And the workmanship is great. They took the time to answer my questions and get my input on how I would like it run, even offered ideas to make it more serviceable for the future. The even offered to give me a ride somewhere so I didnt have to wait. First class shop.

Had to bring my car back 3 times to get my exhaust fixed right and in the end they did like i told them the 1st time and then charged me again for there screw up and they also have no idea about alignments on older cars. They wanted me to buy new struts to fix my caster issue but i just needed to make an adjustment

Took my H2 hummer there with PO430 code, they check it it change out, my catalytic converter bank 2 side, but the price was so great I went on and did both and added a new magna flow muffler all for a great price, very fast and great service, very knowledgeable, drove around after they finish to let pc reset, went to inspection station, pass with flying colors.

Decent price, great work! Just had a super 10 series flowmaster put on my truck and they did an awesome job and were really cool about allowing me to hang out in the shop while they worked on it. Hector did some custom pipe work to get the exhaust dumped out exactly where I wanted it and made sure it was high enough to not be seen from the back! It caused the price to go up a little from what I was originally quoted but it was worth it!

Good prices, from a simple repair to a new system. Theyre willing to do custom work too and they have a tube bender. I needed an oxygen sensor bung welded to my downpipe and they knocked it out in a couple minutes. Nice guys, straight and to the point. They also do inspections.

I had a very good business deal with the guys from New Star Muffler. They installed a dual exhaust system on my old 1964 C10 after I had put on headers, so headers back out the back end of the truck.. Used the Super 44 Flowmasters. Awesome sound. They let me inspect their work while on the lift, very professionally done. I had shopped others and this price was inline and all inclusive. I have had many compliments on the sound, so just really pleased.Bottom line, these guys did what they said they would do and for the agreed price. Well done. and thanks.

Good honest business. Fixed my muffler instead of trying to tell me it needed to be replaced. Also happy that they were open on Saturday while most of the other places were not.

I sent my son there to get his inspection done. He came home and said they failed him because of his gas cap and his window tint being too dark. Thats funny because they were the same shop that inspected his car last year. Also.....a gas cap?! Really! It was not throwing any codes! Thats not even on the criteria for inspection. THEY TOTALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY SON! I took it myself to a reputable place in Tomball and had them check the tint before I had them proceed. Passed!!!!! I will never use these guys! RIP OFF.....STAY AWAY!!!!

Got my 2012 Dodge Challenger straight pipe. It only took about 30 minutes and the work was good.

The welding on the items i got was not that great and for sure not smooth. Price ??? I dont know 200.00 each for caldalic convery. (Sorry for the spelling) One was bad the other good but their policy is replace both of them.
