I ordered a transmission but didnt work out. Asked for a refund and received much later.Only major gripe was the refund was insisted to be by paper check even though order placed electronically.3 stars as JR would always reply and was cordial throughout entire process.

Beware this place is a joke . 28 days later no transmission that we were told would only take 7 . Refund dragged around now we are told it will be out next week and we needed to check the refund policy link at the bottom of their webpage in very tiny letters. Click on it and find out your getting ripped off $100 for cancellation because they could not build your transmission in the time that they gave you . Read carefully also States you may not get your transmission untill 35 days after you order it . No stars would be better . This place is definitely a scam . Best of luck we found a guy that built our transmission in 18hrs

This company will scam you out of your money. They take payments and dont deliver what you ordered. They will hold your money for months before they actually give you a refund. Do not order any thing from them

Same scam as the rest. Promised the transmission in 2 weeks, its been 2 months and no transmission. 21 days since I asked for the refund.Made a criminal complaint to the FBI today for wire fraud, will see how that turns out.This is not a licensed business either - per the NJ treasurer Joseph Rizzo (J. R.) lost his business license in 2005.His last email to me was that he didnt see my request for the refund 3 weeks ago; and here we are (as he admits) 9 weeks later and his promise that he is complying with NJ law and ships the transmission in 6 weeks is BS.He also claims that this business is not his, he is another one, but all the names he gave me return no search results through the NJ Treasurers office, this is the only one. We are filing discovery on his bank now, and the start of the suit against him by Tuesday (we will find out his real information through the bank he pushed the check through - if its fake info the Patriot act kicks in.)

This place is a total SCAM! Do not place an order, theyll screw you around after receiving your money just to say after a month of hearing nothing that they cant get your transmission. They push to give you a refund and take $100 out of your money for what they call processing fees.Funny though its because of them your cancelling yet they pull money from you.They are just scam artists and need to be dealt with!!STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!

Ripoff is an understatement! Ordered trans and paid, promise after promise and excuses. Asked for a refund finally sent a partial refund after 2 plus weeks and then the check was returned unpaid!

We purchased two transmissions with torque converters and a 3 year warranty for $2200.00 on 12/20/18. When purchasing the transmission we spoke on the phone. I was advised 3-5 days to build the transmissions and 3-5 days to ship the transmissions, also a 3 year standard warranty. On 1/5/19 I started emailing for shipping info and was disregarded, he kept stating the his shipper hasnt picked up from him yet. I started to research I have found SEVERAL BBB names/aliese of the same company listed differently all with A and B ratings still but SEVERAL stories and complaints of the same nature, no product, no shipping, no refund received, bounced checks of refunds ect and several postings online back to 2011 referencing the same fraudulent acts of lack to provide materials purchased and failure to send refunds, bounced refund checks and purposely delaying the processes and getting the customers to cancel to charge the 25% restocking fee when the default is by T.R Transmissions, Transmission Specialist Toms River, Toms River Transmissions, SEVERAL BUSINESS ALISES/NAMES USED FOR THE SAME BUSINESS. Simply this company is commiting fraud and taking peoples money, not providing a honest service, not shipping products, purposely delaying orders and charging restocking fees on his website but making promises on the phone to solicit business, 3-5 days to build products and shipping 3-5 days also 3 year warranties on the phone contradicting the website to get out of BBB complains, court proceedings and refunds. Its 2/6/19 still no refund received, yet 2/5/19 he tells the BBB he sent a check out!! FRAUDULENT BUSINESS

Sounds the same as all other customers ordered transmission in beginning of November 2016, sent echeck as requested which processed that day, no tranny up till thanksgiving time, response was fell behind cool holidays understand, nothing again into December, cancelled order with J.R. (if you cant wait for your tranny we can cancel the order and refund your money ) Ya right, Now into January 2017, what a joke of a business -- next step will be legal action--Sheriffs dont like being lied to--

If there was a way to give no stars I would. The owner is a joke bounces checks suprised he’s in business.

TomsRiver Transmission runs a low class bait and switch operation with NO warranty whatsoever. We received a water salvaged unit that did not function. Our phone calls to TomsRiver Transmission received a plain and simple F. elix U. ngerBUYER BE WELL AWARE !!!!!!!!

Place is a total scam. strung me along for a month then returned all but $100 saying processing fee which is NOT listed anywhere on their website. TOTAL SCAM
