I keep meaning to get here and write a review to share my great experience with this business. I had zero intention of visiting a mechanic a couple of months ago when I was on my way to my prenatal doctor appointment at 30 weeks pregnant.Unfortunately I found myself with a bungee cord that was left in the middle the road in my tire and the air was leaking fast.I not familiar with the area at all so I was praying there was a place I could pull over because my car was not driveable. It just so happened at the next stoplight there was Tool Time! I pulled in randomly, asked for help, and they immediately got me in to fix my tire. The price was inexpensive, and I was still able to make it to my doctor because they were done in a half hour.Im really grateful for the way they treated me and how they made my situation a priority. If I need a mechanic, Ill make the drive from Forked River to go to these guys again.

Its crazy to see the reviews of how professional the owner is on here, I had a very different experience. I had my car towed in because they were the closest location Geico offered. I spoke to Jen gave her my information, told her the problem and why it was towed in. She was lovely, told me no problem, they would take a look and let me know. They called me back and told me it was an expensive repair $725 and likely a result of whoever put on my brakes that I just had replaced 4 months ago. I told them I would call them back and contact the people who did the brakes. I needed to have the car towed again to the other facility and when I let them know that, Jen told me she needed to check with the owner and would call back. I asked if there was a problem and she said no, he just needs to be involved if the car is released to a towing company. She calls back and said the owner said it will be $145 for checking the car. I asked why wasnt I made aware that there would be a charge she said hold on. The owner comes on the phone and is as nasty as could be, why would you think we would do work for free? Use our tools, spend time, for nothing?. I said to him, I wouldnt expect the service for free, what I would expect is to know that there would be a charge before work is performed. (You know, just like they didnt do the$725 worth of work without permission) he ranted about health insurance and time and yelled that its common sense, just like if you go to a doctors office, you wouldnt expect service for free. (Yes, exactly sir, Im told how much I owe before I can get treatment and if I dont want to pay that, I dont get the service and I go elsewhere). I have never been charged, anywhere Ive taken my car without being told that there would be a charge. My issue is NOT paying someone for service, as I paid my bill for the car, it is the shady way that he does business swindling a customer and the horrific customer service. I have never in my life been treated like that by a business owner. Im glad others have better luck.

Mike has been servicing my families cars for years. He is very honest, prompt, and professional. We have always been more than satisfied with the work and price of the work done. We refuse to take our cars anywhere else.

My car had a metal piece hanging from the bottom and I pulled over to this business hoping they would help me! They were so quick and professional and helped me so fast, said it was nothing major and removed the part for free. So grateful I pulled over to the right place!! Thank you guys sooo much again!

This is my second time attempting to use this shop because it would be so convenient for me based on location however their prices are NOT competitive at all. This shop was $240+ on an alternator replacement and this is comparing them to 4 other shops in the area. Service appears to be good as they did diagnose my vehicle and everyone seems to be friendly thats for sure.I am sure they do great work however at $660 dollars for an alternator replacment Ill pass.

A great experience dealing with this firm! Not only is the car taken care of in a quick manner but the owner always takes into consideration my time constraints with the kids. The car has always been done when he says it will be and he has offered to help with pick up and delivery. The repairs are always well explained and options given regarding what concerns can wait to be addressed. I always feel confident in the work and recommendations.

Just moved here to Toms River.Car had trouble starting. Needed vehicle. Brought truck in they replaced ignition switch and had me back on the road. Great staff and did a great job.Would highly recommend.

This was my second visit to mikes shop. May 2018 I had the same issue which mike seemed to resolve for me for approximately $300 which he worked on it here and there for about 4-5 days. I was satisfied with this experience! So this brings me to May 31 2019. My car broke down Friday after hours with exact same symtoms as my previous visit and I had it towed to mikes shop as he was familiar with this problem (or so I thought). Monday around 2:30pm I touch base with Mike learning he’s just began to look at my vehicle which has a dead battery etc. Tuesday around 11am I reach back out to mike and he’s mid troubleshooting my cars issue. Around 2:30 he reaches out to me letting me know he about $790 into the repair (first time he spoke about any cost) and that he’s got a lead to my cars issue. I was completely blindsided by this cost. He has resolved my cars issue but left me with my head spinning with this INSANE bill of $1015.a serpentine belt replacement for $152 ($45 for the belt and $107 for labor)WHAT!!!???? BLOODSUCKING!!!And also charged $20 for 5-15ampISNT $790 IN LABOR ENOUGH????This guy clearly nickel and dimes his customers and has blindsided me with the bill...The first time I used tool time auto I thought they were reasonable men however this last experience has left me speechless.USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Ive been having my cars serviced with tool time for years now, and they never disappoint. If I have an issue with my car they always manage to fit me in. They fully explain the repair (even to me) and the costs involved. I highly recommend!!!
