I LOVE Their bagels but EVERYTIME, I order pork roll/Taylor ham and cheese with the pork roll EXTRA EXTRA WELL DONE … and everytime I get home, the pork roll is pretty much raw, it’s super aggrevating because I live like a half hour from them and travel to get it.

Took 25 to make a salad, which is whatever, but I get home and the almonds are missing from the harvest salad I ordered. It’s nothing but Romain lettuce and small pieces of apple and pear. Horrible. Might as well have gone to Shop Rite!

I absolutely love coming here every after school to get something to eat! They have numerous options and I can never decide what I want! Clara is extremely helpful at the register and always is so welcoming 10/10 recommend this place.

Ordered a breakfast platter and a bagel with cream cheese. The platter was bland and under-cooked. The rye bread was good though. The cinnamon raisin bagel was over-cooked and tough.

I am Broolyn born transplanted to Jersey as an adult. I so wanted to love this place. I had high hopes, to say it mildly I was stoked that it within 5 minutes from my house..I gave it a fair shot two different bags with the same result, sad to say they are overpriced pale imitation. They were over proofed, hard on the bottom, they lacked the crisp skin gained from the baking powder water bath. Just because they have absconded with the name Brooklyn style doesnt mean they can deliver it. I can and will assure you this place is not worth the trip. I do not know what part of Brooklyn these people lay claim to but it is no part I have ever been to!

Waited so long for our order and it was incorrect. Workers bagging the food were nasty and talking badly about the customers. I understand it was busy but talking about the customers is really unacceptable. At least the cashier was nice.

Specifically ordered a sandwich with no cheese for someone who cant eat dairy, and they melted cheese all over it. The food tasted like rancid cooking oil anyway. Honestly have had better bagels and service from chain places.

Dont go or order from here if you actually want food. Chances are they will just cancel your order after an hour like they have to me on two separate occasions. Save your time and money and go to Manhattan Bagel instead.

NY Water Bagel products are not bad. However, their ordering process is not good at all. I ordered three bagels...After ordering I had to wait inside 10 minutes to get them. Unlike any other bagel shop I have ever been to they will put a simple order for bagels in a queue with other orders for sandwiches and other products. Does that make any sense??? How about the person taking the order just take five steps over to the place where the bagels are and just put them in a bag and be done with it!

Bagels are subpar at best in quality, size and taste. The staff seems to be inept in understanding and fulfilling orders. The first time our order was incorrect, I chalked it up to masks making it difficult to hear. Despite becoming physically ill from a whole wheat everything bagel, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. In addition to getting our order incorrect yet again, we were charged 1.90 for one, yes a singular, slice of bacon. I had asked about a sandwich with multiple meat that was egg & dairy free. I was told that would be like The Great Bambino which is 2 eggs, hash brown, American cheese, bacon, sausage & Taylor ham for 7.95. I said ok I just dont want egg or cheese. I was then asked what I wanted as my second meat so I said bacon. I was charged 6.90 for just Taylor ham & bacon. So again charged 1.90 for a singular piece of bacon and an incorrect order. This was discovered upon returning home. I called to inform them but said I could just talk about it next time we come in. Nope. He wanted to justify the mistake right there on the phone. I tried explaining but was basically written of with thats how it it. Well bad customer service results in bad reviews. Thats just how it is. So while some may enjoy these small bagels that lack real flavor, it is a hard no for me. We wanted to support local businesses, but customer service will always be at the forefront of where I choose to spend money. If you completely disregard your customers while having an inferior product, you will only survive for so long. Given there is a substantial deficit in quality bagel places in Toms River, I imagine this establishment will continue to be in business. That being said, Toms River deserves better. The hunt for a good bagel place is still on.

First time/last time...so my friends BEC was just “ok”. However my sandwich was put on the wrong type of bread...not too mention the sandwich was ALL bread! I barely got one layer of meat, hardly found the cheese, however they were very generous with the lettuce! The last inch of both ends of the sandwich had NO meat or cheese! They need to take the New York out of the name because no where in NY makes a sandwich like this...not to mention they weren’t that pleasant in there!!! Recommend this to no one!

So normally I love this place. They have so of the best tasting bagels in this area and I’ve been going here for years. I recently moved and don’t really eat bagels as much so I went back for the first time in a while and wow the girl at the register was rude. I was trying to meet the 5$ minimum for card and I was at 4.30 and I told her I’ll pick another thing. They were not busy and I was there for literally about a minute. She said it’s fine. Which okay that was nice of her. Then she just throws my bagels on the counter and walks away. Not really sure why she had such an attitude on a Thursday when it wasn’t busy. Great bagels and food but staff is not what it used to be.

Moved to the area a few months ago and I am so glad I found this place!!! I have been to NY Water Bagel Co. probably close to 20 times now and the service is always fast and super friendly. They make some amazing sandwiches! Their bagels & spreads are always delicious. You seriously have to try this place. I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

As mentioned by other reviewers, first and last time!! The manager there is a super rude lady!! She shouted at everyone saying pictures arent allowed. She said that in a very loud and disgusting way!!!!!! They dont even have a sign that says no pictures allowed. Add to that, some of the workers had no masks in!! Food was okay but Ill never go there again, very unprofessional people there!!!

Fantastic bagels. I stopped in on Saturday morning before work to pick up a dozen and a half of bagels. Service was quick and courteous and the sales crew raved all day about how delicious the bagels were. The water obviously makes the difference.

They have great bagels! However, when we order breakfast sandwiches, we like the bagel toasted. I have almost everytime, not received my bagel toasted. Whether its take out, eat in, a busy day or like today not busy, first thing in the morning or later in morning, mid-summet or dead of winter. The majority of times, the bagel is not toasted, enough times that I decided to fill out this review. Again, their bagels are very good, but I will avoid there for sandwiches, only picking up loose bagels I will toast at home.

I dont know what happened to this place, used to have the best bagels in town but lately the bagels taste awful, like they were previously frozen and heated up in a microwave. There is also a new lady not sure if she is a new owner or manager but she is very rude & employees look scared of her.

Rude is all I can say! Picked up bagels for work one morning, not busy, and the two women were sitting at the table talking. When I went to place my order, they acted like I was interrupting them. This was way before Covid!I was hesitant to give them a second chance but I did. Called to place an order, the girl picked up the phone and just put it down. I could hear her taking someone elses order, I waited thinking ok she will get to me...NOPE. I was just left there listening to the stores activity! So I hung up and tried again, kept getting a busy signal.

The food is great. The loudmouth delivering curbside food with no mask telling me I don’t need one because “I’m young” is not great. Tell him to put a mask on and stop believing everything on Fox.

Its hard to describe how amazing this bagel shop was. I was recommended it by a friend and I stopped by just expecting a normal pork roll egg and cheese. This sandwich turned out to be one of the best pork roll egg and cheeses that Ive had in a very very long time. I will not hesitate to go back, and Id actually go out of my way to get another sandwich from this bagel shop!

I think they make very good food. The only thing I don’t likes is when they put to much cream cheese. What I get is on white toast cream cheese bacon eggs and sausage

I typically enjoy this place, but the two old women working on the morning of 10/29 were extremely unpleasant and argued loudly with each other over if there was cheese on a customers sandwich or not. I’m not one to write bad reviews, at all, but had this been the first time I visited this establishment, I certainly would not come back. Very poor customer service and over all negative vibes.

Toast my bread next time

Will never again order from here. Ordered pork roll and egg from DoorDash. Sandwich delivered had cheese on it. This is the second time this has happened. Called the restaurant and was told to contact doordash, who refunded me the price for a sandwich I could not eat. Called the restaurant back and was treated beyond rudely and told that we would need to come to pick up the correct sandwich when it was their mistake. In this time of Covid-19, we are trying to support local places. Unfortunately, they lost some of their regular customers.

What business picks up the phone and immediately sets the phone down on the counter without even acknowledging the customer who called on the phone? I sat on hold for 6 minutes before I decided to just Call Manhattan Bagel who immediately picked up the phone on a busy Sunday and placed my order no issue. I would recommend just going to literally any bagel place but this one, theres no shortage of places to get good service and bagels.

I love the bagels and cream cheese here. Easily the best place to pick up a dozen bagels.Normally i love the breakfast sandwiches too. The other day I did have the displeasure of having only one and a half slices of bacon on 2 of the sandwiches i purchased. They were somewhat sloppy and I know that they do not skimp on these things (as someone previously mentioned) I hope they were having an off day and that this is not something that will be happening from now on. :/

Check out the sandwich menu more than breakfast, the lunch choices are also many and very good. They also sell their cold cuts like a deli, and have other baked items like crumb cakes or turnovers. Worth a visit.

The bagels here are the best in town and their endless sandwich options make it just as popular of a lunch destination. Expect a crowd between 8am - 11am, but its worth the wait.

Great breakfast sandwiches and bagels, but the service is quite slow. They have a sign up rationalizing that against the quality of the food, but to be perfectly honest, that quality is no better than any of your better bagel shops with a grill. Also kind of annoying that they wont take a debit or credit card for less than $10, which means that as a person who lives alone, I usually have to hot an ATM before going there. That cuts down on they frequency of my visits considerably.Other than the bagels and the breakfast sandwiches, I havent tried anything else on the menu. They do have Boars Head cold cuts, an extensive selection of specialty sandwiches, and some burgers. But for what Ive experienced, the food is top notch for what it is.I took a star off mainly because of the debit card thing, and because the girl I usually see behind the register needs to learn how to smile.

As a regular customer whos enjoyed there food since they opened good bagels and breakfast sandwiches Ive finally had enough of the poor customer service. The owners are nice enough but the people they hire are mostly Nasty and act like they are doing you a huge favor. After my last experience there Thursday I am finished with the place I cant continue to give money to a place that acts like they are doing me a favor by taking it.
