Im working temporarily in the area and this was my first time in this store. I absolutely 💯 ♥ my visit. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made it worth the extra miles to get there.

This is the best food store in the Toms River area. Its not an old store and always have the best prices.

Inventory on shelves during the day has been brutal and on top of that today the young lady (Marissa?) at register #14 is very disengaged. No hello. No telling me were waiting on someone to check 100 bills, no counting of change. Looking up and all around. Very unwelcoming. I know that its hard to get good workers right now but this is ridiculous. Only come to this store out of convenience.Only a couple of the deli workers are personable.

Not a fan of ShopRite, always crowded and somewhat overpriced. No checkout line organization. But...If there is something special you want, or an unusual, hard to find grocery item, then chances are theyll have it.

Very Crowded and a long wait online to check out but Very friendly and Great Inventory.

They have so much variety of foods. They cook a lot of foods. They have great fruit and vegetables. They basically have it together, unlike other supermarkets that are still using the pandemic as an excuse for having bare shelves!!!

Great store with one of the largest, most diverse inventory and usually kept in stock quite well too! I shop for Instacart and DoorDash.The people they hire to work for them are usually always very helpful, kind, and polite when I need assistance.This is one of the best, if not possibly the #1 Shoprite in the area if you want to find what you need - go early! You’ll be surprised to find items you can’t find at other stores if you have the time to look around 🙃🙂

Normally i go late at night so less people. Wish it was 24 hours again. 95% of items i look for are in stock. Most times produce is fresh. They do really try to keep the place clean inside and out. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful. There is one older male and he must hate his job or life. Always nasty always coming up behind you where you feel his breathe and with covid thats not good. Ive said something to management but who knows what they did. All and all ShopRite over here isnt bad pretty clean and better to go later on at night. Bring back open 24 hours please.

1-annoying lobby music, 2- staff does its best to ignore customers, 3- waaaay over priced in house chinese food (seriously? You wouldnt pay $10 for a pt of pork fried rice at a real take-out, but thats the price as its hanging out under a heat lamp at 10pm)Always rediculiously crowded and I avoid this place as much as possible.

The sign says World Class and boy is it!Not only is it the biggest Shop Rite Ive ever seen, its super clean and organized. Its selection of food made on premises is HUGE. This place is phenomenal

I havent been to this store in three years but it hasnt changed. Same great selection, friendly folks, and it was easier to get in and out of on a Sunday than I thought it would be. Excellent adventure.

Decent sized place...clean and for the most part the cash register people are quick and efficient...a little pricey, but i guess thats everywhere now..

Always clean and staff is always helpful. The 🍣 (Omekase Sushi)and fried chicken 🍗 (hot foods area) are the best!

Well I stood at the deli counter for twenty five minutes to get one pound of Summer slaw.Got it home and had company for lunch the summer slaw was bad. Not what I had mind.

Im giving this ShopRite 5 stars because this place is just too over-the-top. They kept everything in this store 1000. The produce section is what I would call Golden. This place is clean, organized and the seafood department is whoa. I have to respect the store that respects their customers.

The store itself is clean and well stocked. I just dont get the setup of the store, the way the aisles are done, seasonal and promotional in several aisles.

Just bought a fresh fruit and creme tart and some Brooklyn bread. Both outstanding as usual. ShopRite bakery is always very good.

This place is always packed, especially on the weekends. Decided to order online instead to avoid all the customers. The experience was horrible. They delayed my pick up twice and many of the things I ordered had to be substituted.For my wasted time having to wait for them to give me my cart and failing to provide me the right ingredients so I can make my meals, they only gave me back $10.

CLEAN STORE. CARRIES JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING I NEED. LOVE THAT THEY HAVE SENIOR HOURS.

I love this store. The only bad thing is the deli counter not the employees they are great its the customers. They stand in the spot where you pick up your order or the go to the counter put their arms and hands all over and pull their mask down to give their order. They have no common sense what so ever. So there are fingerprints all over the counter. I always ask the deli people please hand me my order do not lay it on the counter. The counter should be wiped down more often. Otherwise the store is great. Never had a bad employee yet but people have to realize what those workers go through all day. They are also essential and take allot of abuse. God bless them. 🙏

This store reminds me of the Brick Shop rite. Starting with the parking lot just getting a spot is a chore. Then once inside you need all your patience looking for your groceries. Which they most definitely have. The one saving grace is the bakery and all their delicious deserts and breads. So thank you for that.

Ive always enjoyed shopping here but this store is a mess. The items are almost always missing or out of stock and not replaced (regular items not sales). Staff is either totally rude or the exact opposite. Management is a joke. Checkout lines are always insanely long and disorganized. One would think they would apply some simple strategy to make lines shorter, safer and more efficient during the pandemic but its literally a free for all. Shift leader(?) Fred Burka is wildly rude and disrespectful. On several occasions unnecessarily rude and just painfully obnoxious. He goes out of his way to try make people feel small. His ego is incredibly large for a gloried stock boy. Lately Ive taken my business to stop and shop or the shoprite thats a little further away just to avoid this man. There just isnt enough room in this SR for his ego and for people to shop peacefully. I dont even want to imagine how he treats people working under him.

I just have to say thank god and god bless the head decorator in the bakery department ! Today I had picked up a cake for a party and on the way home something went into the cake because of a senseless driver destroying the cake but thank god for the head decorator who made me a new cake right on site I am beyond grateful for her and how fast and eager she was to help me in my hysteria ! Thank you so much !

I love shop rite of toms river

They have prepared meals, just pop it in the microwave & done. Great selection of food as well, a Chinese Food Station as well as Sushi. Anything you need Shoprite has it. (Mostly anything 😉)

A particular self-checkout cashier became offensive and insulting by falsely accusing a disabled senior of stealing and handling the persons food. We filed a complaint with the corporate office. We will through our attorneys file charges of defamation and harmful treatment of a disabled senior complaint against the female employee and the store in Toms River.

Clean....always stock with sales items. Managers are wonderful.

DRIVERS AVOID THIS PLACE, they make you wait forever to unload. Dock manager runs around screaming, yelling and cursing at people cause his store ordered one too many truckloads of water and he has no place to put em.

I have to say honestly... never a bad experience at this Shoprite. Yes, it gets crowded at your usual grocery times... i.e: before holidays, storms, weekend afternoons but otherwise, this store has saved me a few times with the late closing hours and always pretty much having everything I need in stock! Cashiers and customer service are always very friendly and helpful, as well!

Freindly enough customer service/all shoprites are by no means equal!they have alot to choose from i am just most deff not used to their set up...Way understaffed! Ice cream melted waiting in line .over grape price check that took 2 managers and multiple trips back and fourth ...this isnrediculous the 4 cashiers they have /their lines are literally halfway down the aisle.

This store has a great variety of products if you are shopping for every type of diet. Its a very busy store and is large. I wish the aisle were wider because they get jammed up. Im not a fan of the prices.

The cashier yelled at me because the automatic conveyor belt brought my groceries up. There was a woman in a wheelchair who had one more thing to give, so since my groceries moved up she wasnt able to give it to her because of the plastic shield. Understandably frustrating but not my fault. Cashier proceeded to push my groceries back with force, knocking all of my things over. I told her to please stop, and she proceeded to yell at me. I also had my two small children present. So then I quietly cursed her off and went to another line. The cashier said she was glad that I was going in another line and to name her by name when I wrote my review. I wont do that - itll probably be easy to spot the tall old woman with short white hair with a bad attitude and terrible job skills. Happy Thanksgiving! Two stars because the manager and other cashier were very pleasant.

I used shop rite from home for the first time. I needed to cater a work Christmas party last minute and they delivered. I was able to pick up on Christmas eve even though I didnt order until the day before. It was easy to order online and even easier to pick up in store. I definitely recommend

A great place to shop. Store is clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable especially with the digital coupons.

You have to trek the entire length of the store to find the rest rooms which were clean however no paper towels.

Im here way too often. I live off Fischer Blvd and have a shoprite a quarter of the distance, but this one is just larger with far better selection.

10/7/21 Updated Review: I Have left two reviews in the past for this place one good and the other not. To give a fair summary of what its like to shop here is; its always busy. That alone tells you its not a bad place if everyone else is going there but you need patience ( which is not always easy). Ive dealt with rude employees and Ive had the pleasure of meeting wonderful employees. Right or wrong, you get that anywhere nowadays. ShopRite has huge selections and offerings that you cant get anywhere else and it is the only place I shop at other than bulk stores regardless. However, I must say no matter what personal feelings I may have based on past experiences, I LOVE how patriotic this store is hearing the music of God Bless America and other songs playing as I enter the store! I hope that never changes!

Shoprite From Home is awesome! I love it! My biggest complaint is that people always park in the designated Shoprite From Home spots, which clearly state that violators will be towed, but they do not call anyone to tow the cars. Its beyond frustrating!

Curbside pickup service is very efficient and orders are completed in a timely manner. Great service

Christmas eve, website clearly stated 7 oclock close, showed up at 630 and there was an employee at the door turning people away and a hand written sign on door saying closed at 6. I was in the parking lot for about 5 min talking to someone else in the same boat and the store must have turned away at least 50 people in that time frame. I text a friend of mine whose daughter works there and was told corporate chose a 7pm close but that the store manager took it upon himself to close early, very professional. Honestly they could have closed at 12 for all I cared, I do mind however driving the 25 min each way for nothing.

The people working the registers shouldnt be work them at all.Very slow cant count and always charge you double.This has happened to me every time I go to ShopRite. I keep saying no more go to Stop&Shop as far as I know 12 people are not happy with ShopRite the store and products are Great, They just Hire anybody to work there its said . Nobody likes to get ripped off at the check out. And Toms River you have a lot of older customers . Please take some interest in who you hire .Thank you

Place was clean,fast good sales for the weekend

Stopped in for something fast and easy. Picked up some already cooked chicken and rice. Tasty and delicious.

Great place been a shop rite shopper in varied states my whole adult life .

ShopRite always has a wide variety of well prices and fresh items. This parking lot is the most chaotic in Toms River, so go slow and watch every angle before proceeding. Also, the parking lot often has homeless folks or scammers looking to make a quick buck so be careful.Avoid this ShopRite at peak times, like Sunday afternoons or the day before a holiday, as youll be waiting in line for half an hour to check out.They have some weird nationalist propaganda music in the foyer that they play constantly.

This is a run of the mill ShopRite. The store is clean, customer service is friendly. They have all of your expectations regarding a super market. The prices are reasonable for this chain and they offer a good variety. Their cooked foods are generally very good. This store also offers Dunkin donuts in the store.

This is the Toms River store. This store has been up dated shelves are stocked. Employees are friendly. I stopped some one to ask a question, it was a 3 minute explanation about what I asked. Along with other products that are on sale which I might consider. 😊 it was cool that he knew all this information and was correct.Definitely, would stop back when I am in the area.Place is handicapped friendly. 💛

Not a great visit. I asked to confirm I was at Shop Rite rather than Stop & Shop, & the cashier asked, you dont even know where you are? I took offense & stated her comment was rude, as I was simply seeking confirmation regarding which card to use, as not to waste (her) the cashiers time. Also, every other line seemed to read sixty & over, not clarify age or item amount & were not clearly visable; so a young, frantic mother was yelling behind me, as she had been waiting patiently in that line before being informed it was sixty & over. I assume few sixty & over citizens are essential workers currently & that designation at every other line seemed very odd, considering my inference. I had not shopped at that location for years & doubt I will be returning any time soon.

Definitely one of the better ShopRites.They are always very well stocked and they have a few things that the other ShopRites don’t. They offer self checkout so you can get in and out fast. The only bad thing is the parking lot can get a little Crazy and the security for the parking lot is very unprofessional.
