Went there today for my first eye exam in several years. Doctor was nice. The assistants who helped with the initial tests and then helping me pick out my glasses were great. Very helpful. A+

I booked an appointment & filled all the required forms online and received several confirmation emails and text messages. When I got there I was told I have to wait for 30 min or less before I get in (because i didn’t confirm my appointment through phone)!! What a waist of time!

Don’t go by the high ratings of this place. They canceled my appointment 5 minutes before the scheduled time when I was already outside the shop and then had the audacity to blame it on me. Thoroughly unprofessional!

We have always had great service at Visionworks. Lori Hormung always goes above and beyond in helping us choose glasses. Everyone is kind and helpful! We highly recommend them!

I don’t even know where to begin at this mess of a place:- Eye doctor seemed like she would rather be doing anything than giving an eye exam- Long wait time- I wanted to get contacts. They scheduled me for an insertion & removal class roughly 6 weeks out. The doctor had an accident and had to reschedule. They wanted me to wait another 6 weeks for an insertion & removal class. I had already paid for the contacts in full and didn’t think it was reasonable to have to wait that long. The general manager was very rude about the whole process and just ended up refunding me.I went to another eye doctor and was absolutely blown away when the same day as my eye exam they sat me down for an insertion & removal tutorial, and sent me home with a trial set for free. This made me realize how truly bad Empire Visionworks is. They do not care about the customers at all, just dollars.

DONT come to this store. I had the worst experience at a visionworks branch here because the staff in this store were unfriendly, rude, and intentionally unhelpful. They refused to answer my questions regarding online purchase and I had to drive to Cheektowaga store to purchase the frame I liked, simply because they were not willing to kindly answer my questions.

DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!!! I went to this store to do eye exam and try contact lenses.(1). After the eye exam, I paid eye exam fee and I want to see my report, what is my degree. But they refused to show me the report and did not tell me the degree of my eyes. They told me they will give me the report after I bought the contact lenses. I paid for the eye examination, why can’t I even know my degree?(2). In the process of trying on contact lenses (I only get the trial pack), I had problems with my eyes due to wearing contact lenses. I called and said I dont want to order contact lenses, but they still ordered and deducted the money directly from my insurance.These two points make me think this shop is a robber

Very Good location with cordial staff, thorough exam and optometrist, and very good selection of frames (more than Sterling). Seemed clean and felt safe. You do have to book a while in advance for your exam due to another location closing, Back To School, Covid, etc, they do try and sell you more extra services a extra pair but are not pushy. It takes 2 weeks to get your glasses.

Empire Visionworks on Niagara Falls Blvd is a gem. The staff is friendly and helpful. The opticians are nice and thorough. I have gone to this vision center for the last 4 years and I always receive excellent customer services. Strongly recommended!

I got my glasses made here. I did not get the eye exam here.The Good: They have a wide selection of frames and I did not feel that their staff was trying to upsell me itemsThe BAD: (a) They took my co-pay money at the time I ordered it. A month later, when I reviewed the insurance claim, my co-pay was much less. I called them up for the overcharge and the customer service agent started to bluff me giving random explanations. Finally, he relented. CAUTION: they will overcharge you and pocket the money (b) They sent me marketing pamphlets for cashback and discounts. It was a bait-n-switch. Those were just the standard discounts that my vision insurance provided.

Rochelle is amazing and friendly. The doctor is awesome and cares. My experience was great and Im picky when it comes to my optometrists and the offices I visit. Rochelle really makes it better though and of something goes wrong or gets complicated shes the women to see.

Friendly staff and they accepted my insurance.

My frames broke and I was going on a trip for a meeting in two days. So, I went here and everyone was very efficient and helpful. They told me that depending on the prescription, if they have the lenses, they can make it in a day. I also had to do a same day eye exam. They arranged for that and it happened that they had the lenses. There were other small details that they accommodated for also. When you go there, everyone seem to be very serious, but they really are very professional and very helpful. The optician that saw me was also very good. I will definitely suggest this place to my friends and go back there for my next eye exam and future glasses.

Dr. Aurela was knowledgeable and caring. She clearly outlined all specifications for my glasses. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the selection and service. I definitely recommend Visionworks!

My experience at vision works was terrific. Rachel gave me personalized attention picking my frames and I am very pleased with them. Despite being very busy every customer entering the store was greeted. The price for two pairs of glasses was less than I have paid for one in the past. I will be a repeat customer.

We purchased two pair of glasses for my son last week. Everyone was so professional, thorough, and patient. They took great care with COVID precautions. Rachelle, the store manager, trains her staff very well and is always great to work with when we are there.

All of the staff in the front area were not friendly and a bit rude. This was supposed to be my first appointment with them and also my first time talking to a doctor about contacts. The originally scheduled appointment was scheduled to be in person with the doctor to discuss contacts. I received a voicemail saying the appointment got moved to telehealth. I tried calling and waited on hold for 45 minutes before giving up and figuring they knew what they were doing. When I showed up for my appointment all of the staff in the front were rude telling me that I was wrong, they dont do telehealth this late (6pm) and I misunderstood the voicemail and they had called me to cancel (I relistened to the voicemail and it 100% was just saying it was a telehealth appointment). Overall, it was not a great experience and I was only there for about 2 minutes total. They rescheduled me for a different day, but Im definitely going to just cancel and go somewhere else.

Went for an eye exam today. My second time. The entire staff and the doctor are all very polite, courteous and easy to work with. The staff is very helpful and patient, they sit down with you to discuss the options as per the insurance requirements and recommends the best options. I was very pleased today. Absolutely recommend this place.

This is my first google review ever and Empire Visionworks earned it! I had a great experience here today. I had been seeing the same optometrist for years before I made an appointment with Empire Visionworks. I procrastinated making an appointment for an eye exam because I just got new insurance and thought the process would be time consuming or unpleasant. I was wrong. They were able to look my insurance information up over the phone which made things simple and hassle free for me. The store is welcoming, clean and a great atmosphere. The doctor I saw was exceptionally nice and professional. The appointment was straightforward and I was able to get contacts and a new pair of lenses, all for free/covered by insurance without even a copay. The general manager was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and let me take my time picking the frames I wanted without hovering at all. She also helped me pick which pair looked best when I couldnt make my mind up between two. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an outstanding eye care. I love this place!

Special kudos to Dallas! Ive had no luck in the past with glasses. Scripts are too strong and frames are made of cheap material. I tried this location as its close to work. He explained different options and suggested which he thought would be best for me. Nailed it! Thank you for your patience....I will definitely go back.

Nice staff. Dont know why they made me wait an hr to do my 10 min eye exam. The examination was professional but the staff seemed overwhelmed. Got the feeling that I was pushed back in que because I didnt act like I was going to purchase after the exam, but this could be just me overthinking. Hope the location figures something out for expediting exam wait time because it hasnt improved since 2 yrs ago when I came in.

Without question, the best experience I have ever had with regard to scheduling an eye exam as well as selecting new eyeglass frames.The friendly staff greets you as soon as you enter. My eye exam was thorough and professional. Eyesight is something that you do not want to neglect. I feel confident that the Dr. on staff who completed my eye exam was highly skilled and knowledgeable about the latest developments in eye care. I come here all the time for my eye exam and its always great, but the past 2 years the same guy has helped me pick put glasses and order contacts and he made my visit very enjoyable. I think his name was safi, he was very nice and I always hate picking out glasses but he was really helpful!!

I have been a very satisfied customer for many years. Associates are knowledgeable about the products and offer just enough assistance to guide the customer to choose their frames. I find their suggestions to be sincere and helpful. (They tactfully tell you when it might be better to make another selection.) Eyeglass fittings are expertly done to ensure comfort & satisfaction. Likewise, they treat customers with courtesy if you stop in to get your glasses adjusted. Sometimes they get really busy but still take their time to serve the needs of each customer without appearing frazzled. Overall, this location of Empire Visionworks is well managed and provides a positive shopping experience!

My glasses broke last night ! I came in this morning and they did an eye exam and knew I needed glasses ASAP and long story short I had glasses that day!!! How many other places can you say that do that? Excellent customer service!!! Everyone is very nice and welcoming !! Rachael was very helpful in making sure I had my glasses that day! My recent experiences with opticians have felt more like going to a car dealership than receiving necessary healthcare. When I went here, they were completely different. The optician I worked with really helped me work out the most affordable option I could get. (Heres a hint, their contacts club is a really great deal. If you wear contacts, you will want to come here). The doctor I got was very straightforward. Some might not like that, but I have no problem with that personality. She was professional and thorough. I would highly recommend this place. There is finally a third choice besides pushy opticians and corrective surgery!

This is the third branch I have been to in recent years, and by far the best experience Ive had. The doctor took time to go over my eyes in depth, explain my vision issues, and then even correct the initial prescription after the first contacts were just a tiny bit off from right. The office staff was friendly, helpful, and got me my contacts ordered with minimal help.I lost the right lens for my trial pair, and they happily got me a replacement that morning!A different branch I had trouble even getting an appt let alone this level of service. I highly recommend this branch for glasses/contacts!!

I always have had positive experiences with this company. Im glad I found a branch in Buffalo with a great staff. Came here for an eye exam, new glasses, and contact lenses. The optometrist and staff were all very helpful, provided good patient education, and answered all my questions! Shout out to Lori for providing excellent service and was very sweet!

The staff was extremely helpful. The selection is great. I have trouble finding glasses that fit my small face but they carry petite frames in many designer styles that worked perfectly. I would highly recommend.

Amazing experience! I am not the best with doctors of any kind but the staff and doc were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. They answered every question I had and gave me undivided attention even at the end of a long day. I didnt even have my coat off before my exam started (thanks in part to being able to complete the intake paperwork electronically ahead of time). A vast collection of glasses to choose from and I was not at all pressured to purchase anything I didnt want. Lauren (I believe is who checked me out) was funny, informative, and professional. I cant wait to pick up my new glasses after the Thanksgiving holiday. Happy to find a provider close work as great you all!

I took my very anxious 7 year old for her first eye exam after noticing that shes been squinting. Of course she was so scared, and the staff was so patient and creative in getting her comfortable enough to sit for the exam. I now have a very happy little girl with her first pair of glasses!

Friendly and welcoming staff help to keep me coming back to this location. They also are very good at helping you stay within your insurance terms and inside of your desired price point. Ive never had any issues finding what I want and in the price point I want! Repeat customer and would recommend.

What a great selection of high quality reasonably priced frames. They go out of their way to make sure that your lens prescription is perfect the first time. Rachelle, the general manager is there almost all the time and knows most of the customers. I don’t do many reviews but the professionalism of this business and how they value their customers made me write this. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Good selection of glasses and reasonable prices. The staff are nice and the service was quick. I was most impressed with the doc there. I went in early in the morning with my 5 year old to avoid the rush and appreciated that she took the time - doing an eye exam on a toddler is not easy.

I had my first experience there today and it was amazing! The staff was excellent and so kind. One memeber helped me pick out my frames and another one remembered my name and asked what I picked after I haven’t talked with him for a bit. The customers are also very nice and helped a bit. Visionworks could improve just about everywhere as far as Im concerned. Had an appointment on August 22. Being a Saturday I was told they would need to contact the insurance company to know for sure what they would cover as far as frames. They were supposed to phone me Monday, August 24. As of today August 31 I still have not received a phone call. Any attempts to call and speak to an actual person are futile. Currently on hold with the Niagara Falls Blvd. location and have been on hold for over 25 minutes!!! Save yourself time and frustration and go elsewhere. Worst service ever. Unbelievably ridiculous! Not happy at all. Not for nothing, the optometrist needs to learn some PR. PS...I hung up. Grrrrrr!! No stars earned!

Got eye exam and replaced lenses in two frames I already had. Was initially told it would take 10 days for lenses to arrive, but they arrived in 2 days! Was told I might have to wait 30 minutes without glasses since they had to replace the lenses, but they were done in only 10 minutes in the lab! I was all around pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality. Great job!

I have been coming here Sense I’ve been in middle school! I’m out of college now and they still treat me so well and always have worked to have everything as in style, design, price all in my favor. The staff go out there way to make sure I get what I need and I’ve been happy with the services all these years. Never once had a problem even when numerous times they repaired my glasses for free and made them look brand new every time.

I’ve been coming to visionworks for over 10 years. The store manager, Rochelle, is amazing. I LOVE the selection of frames, both designer and inexpensive but quality frames. They take Davis Vision insurance, which is also a plus for my family. The staff is honest and helpful when helping me choose my frames. I get a new pair of glasses and sunglasses each year, and I am ALWAYS happy! Thank you for being so wonderful!

Went in for a fix on my Michael Kors glasses, staff was highly attentive and helpful. The job took less than five minutes and was complementary. I will be coming back here for any more adjustments, definitely a five out of five.

I had come in almost a year ago to get contacts and they were able to help me get new lenses and sunglasses too!!! I forgot all about the lenses until today. So I stopped by and they helped me immediately and still had my things! Sadly my frames were so old that when they tried to pop the lenses out they popped. They were so wonderful dealing with that and allowing me to pick a new pair on them. I cannot thank the staff here enough for taking the responsibility for my broken frames and making sure I left with a new pair!!! Thank you!!!!

Very friendly and professional staff! After the dilated drops, it was not near as bad as with other places. I was able to drive home with sunglasses. I definitely recommend them and will use them for all my eye care!!

I visited this Visionworks recently and had a very positive experience. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and the optometrist (Dr Dizazo) was very professional. She did a complete exam (vision check, dilation, the works) and explained everything carefully and clearly. This has not been my experience at other places, so was pleasantly surprised. Got my glasses within a week.

I love this place. Im the worst with glasses. They always fix them and get me in and out. They are always prompt, they are always professional and are always friendly.

This place is the absolute worst. I had to get new glasses and we have had to go here at least 5 times for them to get the glasses right. They still don’t work and they didn’t do much to change them. Terrible place. Don’t go here for the life of you.

Excellent service. Stayed after hours to help me when lens crafters was kicking me out the door. They were very helpful in every way. Glasses came in on time.

They were wonderful, especially the Manager Rachel (sp). The frames I picked just didnt feel right and the prescription didnt seem right. The Dr made sure it was the correct prescription. Rachel helped me pick a new frame, she adjusted where the progressive bifocal sat and ordered me a new pair. The new ones are good and feel fine. I would highly recommend the Tonawanda NY branch of Visionworks.
