Went kayaking down the river and loved it. DEFINITELY the best rates. Most places do by the hour for 20-25 and he just does a day flat rate which IMO is way better than anything because if you enjoy kayaking you know youll want more than an hour but maybe less than 2. Theres a private launch directly across the street and all you have to do is cross the street with it. I would suggest petitioning for a crosswalk with a ped light to PREVENT any accidents. kayaks can be a little heavy for some I guess you could say so ask for help maybe if you think youd need it. I think the entire time I was in the water I came across 2 people. Very nice

Great experience. PPP got me set up in a rental, made adjustments for my height and gave me a quick tutorial on getting in and out on my own. He was really knowledgeable and friendly. The price to rent for the day was great!

Awful customer service. The owner is incredibly rude to his customers and always in a sour mood. Would give a 0 star rating if I could.Edit: Not sure what the owners’ response is about… never came in with friends. Came in to ask a question and the man at the desk was extremely rude and nasty to me. I walked straight out.Obviously he causes a lot of problems if he can’t get his customers straight.

No transparency concerning stocked or out of stock items! Ordered a Mirage drive 180 and paid for it. Got an email confirming my purchase right away. 2 1/2 months later, nothing. Called to see where my drive was, was told thats above my pay grade by the person I talked to. Had to send an email to get a refund. Refund took two days to clear my account. My first choice was Austin City Kayak, but their website alerted me that this item is unavailable the second I clicked on it, PPPs website did not. Seemed kind of dishonest. They had no problem taking my money right away, but took two days to give it back(with attitude). Before you give these people $1k, ask them if they actually have what theyre taking your money for. Cost me my summer on the water. Will never shop here again

It was alot of fun to experience kayaking for the first time with my wife. The owners Mr. & Mrs. Barris were very informative in expressing how to safely get in and out of the kayak. They were very friendly, and easy to talk with. It was a surprise to know that it was only $55 for the whole day. I just wish to encourage those who have been seeking outdoor adventure to experience kayaking, you will see life from a whole different view, the water one where baby geese swim by you and turtles are everywhere but most of all, serenity. After all we have been through we need moments like these.

A sales associate at Cabelas recommended we go here. They never heard of that being from another part of new york. The owners are exceptionally helpful, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We purchased a previously used canoe that they had used for day trips, and they figured us with everything that we needed told us where to get cheaper materials, and even taught us how to correctly mount it on our vehicle, and instead of ripping us off by giving us an unnecessary kid showed me how to convert the top rack on my car to the proper rack that I needed I had no idea it was even adjustable. You will be going here for all of our canoeing, kayaking, and hiking needs in the future.

Oren D. Barris, is without a doubt in my mind one of the greatest human beings of all time. Maybe I exaggerate a bit, but he is really great.I live in Arizona, not a Mecca for lakes like I grew up in Wisconsin, but we have some magnificent reservoirs.I called Oren as he was listed as a Prijon dealer. I ordered a hatch cover from Oren during the beginning of the pandemic. He kept up on my order with this Sweden company until it arrived. This was great news when he said it arrived in his shop.I told him I was going to add $20.00 to the pay link for a box of beer or something nice.He said thats very kind, but its my job to keep you on the water. If you ever need anything he has go to him. Never my him, but I think he is the best.Happy Paddling OrenRandy JensenArizona

Great place for your Kayaking needs!!! I purchased my Hobie Kayak from PPP and could not be happier with my purchase. The owner assisted me and set me up with the perfect Kayak to meet my needs. I absolutely love my new boat and only wish I had more time to ride it! The staff is very knowledgeable about all of their products and they service most of the equipment that they sell. I have never had or seen them have problems with any customers. They bend over backwards to make people happy. They gave me a lesson, to make sure I knew what I was doing. They are very safety conscious, as they should be. I feel very safe now in my Kayak, thanks to Chris and her lessons. I would highly recommend anyone either buy or rent from this great business. I know I will continue to do business with them. Everything I need for Kayaking I can get there and its top quality at a fair price.

Oren was extremely knowledgeable and helpful talking with me and determining what parts I needed to make the yaks functional again. He got the parts sent out right away!I only wish I lived in the area so I could shop there in person!Since he is the only Prijon dealer in the US, I forsee many future purchases! 😉 So glad he is so easy to work with from a distance!

Me and my daughters first time out kayaking was great! We both loved it. The lady working there helped us with getting the kayak to the water, helped us get in and out, and the entire experience was marvelous! They have all the materials you need, such as paddles and life vests all ready to go. All we had to do was show up and they handled all the rest for us. Great experience!

My kids and I rented kayaks over Memorial Day weekend. Enjoyed 2+ hours of paddling on Ellicott Creek on a hot and sunny afternoon. Christine kindly gave us a crash course on safely getting in and out of the kayaks and how to paddle correctly. We saw many turtles sunning on logs, geese and goslings swimming - an uplifting activity during stressful times - highly recommend!

I ordered a hatch for my kayak in early August. I was never informed it was backordered (prior to or after ordering). When I hadnt received it three weeks later I asked and was told it was backordered and expected in during September. I asked again at the end of September and said I wanted my money back at that time if they couldnt get me the hatch. They responded by saying they have 5 boxes of back ordered Hobie gear and hopefully the hatch was in one. Here it is a month later with no hatch or communication/follow up. I made it clear in September I wanted a refund if they couldnt produce the hatch. Frankly I should have been told right away in August it was back ordered and I wouldnt have ordered it. I do give two stars versus one because they have responded to my inquiries. All I want is my hatch or my money back.

Dishonest vendor. Ordered a part for my boat last week. No mention of out of stock or back order. 4 days later, I realized that I hadnt seen a shipping update about my order. Emailed the vendor to ask what the status was and received a response that its on back order from the factory. Theyre selling items they dont have in stock without telling the customer. Website still hasnt been updated to reflect the situation.

A great experience. Signed up for the Intro to Kayaking class and I was the only participant that particular day. They could have easily re-scheduled it or asked me to join another class, but I got a private class and Christine and Natalie were such a great help. I learned a lot - so much better than just jumping in a kayak and thinking you can just go. I highly recommend the class - learn the RIGHT way to do things and it will be much more fun. Thanks so much!

Very rude and unfriendly owners (especially the woman) who made several nasty comments to my group of friends from work who went there for an evening of kayaking and an after-work get-together. Not sure why one would behave in such a manner to a group of people wanting to give you money, particularly in a COVID-19 economy, but next time, give your business to Water Bike Adventures in the city of Tonawanda instead (or buy your own kayak, like me!)

Had a great time today! Rented a tandem kayak and spent a few hours going up and down the creek. There’s a dock right across the street so you don’t have to haul the kayak far. We called ahead and asked what the rental times were to make sure we had time to kayak and were told by a woman that we could pay for an all day rental, but upon arrival and meeting friends there we found that all day meant till 5 pm which wouldn’t have been a big deal had we been told on the phone the time limit. Then upon arriving our two friends rented a kayak and my self and a friend shared a canoe. Instead of unloading the canoe across the street and carrying it we were told there was a launch site across the road so we backed our SUV up and unloaded from there. The woman from the shop came running down yelling at us. Literally yelling. Because our car was by the launch. I am unsure why that was an issue. We just gave her business money and immediately started to profusely apologize about not knowing we shouldn’t do that, but she was just irate. I will never give her business money ever again. Had she walked up and said please move your car then that would have been different. No. You have forever lost my interest. I will never recommend this place. Please learn customer service before starting a business.Update- and just be clear that’s fine you didn’t want us to leave tire ruts, we were okay with moving the car. the issue is the way you handled the situation. You don’t scream at ppl who just gave you money. Maybe post a sign if you don’t want people parking there because 90% of ppl are going to pull up to a boat launch rather than crossing a busy road carrying kayaks and canoes.

Went kayaking on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Tonawanda Creek. The owners were very helpful not only getting you into the correct vessel, and they also assisted you in sizing up your feet with the levers inside the kayak plus they assisted you in launching across the street to make sure you understood how to get in and out of a kayak property without hurting yourself. They are very personal and that is rare to find in a business today. Great Experience!

The overall experience was horrible. I was there with my younger cousins. We were standing near the small pond and one of the workers yelled to get our hands out of the pond when no one was touching it.
