David was helpful in helping us find the best fit for our needs. Dan and his install crew were excellent and got the carpet installed professionally. The carpet looks great!!! We are very pleased.

Excellent service from Jerry Gentry at Topeka Floor Project! Mr. Gentry had exactly what I was looking for at half the cost of any other location in Topeka. He got me in and out quickly with a professional, no pressure style. Highly recommend - I will be back!

Jerry Gentry, the store manager, is seriously the best. So friendly and accommodating to my needs for my bathroom remodel! He remembered me right away from buying flooring for my kitchen last year; there was a slight mixup last year on getting a quote done for installation and he fixed it right away! Highly recommend working with Jerry!

I ordered samples online as the website allowed. When I went to pick it up and they implied I did something wrong they didnt have it. I waited for service for 15 min and not one person spoke to me. When I did speak to someone he treated me like I was a bother. I found flooring I loved and he said no because he would have to call other store to get enough to do my project. Horrible and rude service. He wanted to help a lady who was buying a $69 carpet.

Very Impressed!!Stopped in over the weekend looking to replace the floor in my living room, and I was very impressed with my experience! They have a huge selection of flooring options to choose from and the sales person that helped me was knowledgeable and friendly. They made the selection process simple and easy! They set me up with an installer who was extremely nice and professional, and it took no time for them to come to my home to take measurements. I highly recommend you check them out if you’re in the market for new flooring!!

Don’t shop here! I bought two cartons of luxury vinyl plank flooring. They told me I was getting a discount through the realtor I used. Realize now they charged me over $300! It’s my fault for not paying attention but still. Very scandalous! I will never go there again. Buyer beware.

Not happy with customer service! Ordered wood flooring and made down payment because prior business with this company was excellent. 7 weeks later, still no flooring. Very poor communication and customer service. Everyone knows that the success of a business is often due to word of mouth. Happy customers will talk and recommend products and services.

Love the staff and products since 2005! Regret not using them for hardwoods and luxury vinyl that was horribly installed and looks pathetic after just a few years. Will definitely go back soon for replacement!

Purchased vinyl flooring about a year ago.Finally got around to getting it installed recently.Had another person install it besides the ones they could provide.Which estimated double the average price for the work.The installer wasn’t happy with the product.After almost completed noticed planks were not staying locked and chipping on ends.Called the store and owner came out and inspected.Wrote up a claim which some independent inspector came out.During the inspection his comments I took personal so in turn I told him to leave.I will never buy this product again!

We went in for one thing and they attempted to sell us something completely different. They would not listen to what we wanted. I do not know if they simply wanted to sell us what they needed to unload or whatever would make them more profit. I knew what i could spend and they did not listen even after i told them i could not afford more than what i told them i could spend. The last 20 minutes in the store was spent looking at laminate flooring that was 40% higher than what we could afford.

I was pleased from the moment I first walked into the store not even knowing what I wanted. When I explained what I had in mind, David Boswell suggested a couple of products and explained the pros and cons of each. It was a comfortable shopping experience and I did not feel like he was pushing me to buy a product. When I gave him the dimensions of the rooms I needed he gave me a very close estimate of the installed cost. The product arrived two weeks after I ordered it as promised and the installer called me immediately to set up an installation date. The installer, T.J. Murray, has an amazing crew. Four of the very nicest young men removed the old carpeting and replaced it with the new product in one day. When they removed the carpeting in one room, they ran into problems with the original flooring, which required quite a bit of extra work; but they took it in stride and put in the extra time and work. These young men worked so well together and did quality work. It was easy to see that they had all learned their jobs well, that they respected each other, their boss and me was clear from the moment I met them. I can honestly say that I have never had a better experience with workers in my home.AND - i am thrilled with my new floors. ThanksYou all, my Floor Project team!

We recently worked with David and TJ whom have been very prompt with answers to questions via-email or phone (not common for most in their field). David and TJ have been timely across the board, and TJ has always been on time when an appointment is being attended at our residence. We have had a few last minute needs which have been met in full within 24hr’s (again, scarcely occurs ever). The pricing agreed upon was below other quotes and David has continued to demonstrate understanding and flexibility within reason regarding finalized costs. Most of all, both gentlemen have exceeded expectations, went far and beyond what typically occurs with most product companies to the point I’m writing a review. We would highly recommend working with David and TJ!

Jerry and David were awesome to work with. The selection was limitless. I would highly recommend going to see either of these guys and keep your money here in Topeka!!

My husband posted a review on here a couple weeks ago about the horrible experience we had with the floor project and the issues we are currently having with our flooring. The owner than responded for him to reach out to them with his contact information so they could help us resolve our issues. He did as they requested......two weeks ago. Once again, NO RESPONSE. This company has no interest in standing behind their work or their product. Horrible customer service. Highly recommend going somewhere else!

We are extremely pleased with our hardwood floors installed by TJ and his crew. We have received so many compliments on our flooring. At the store everyone was so helpful with helping us decide on design of hardwood, finances, and generally making sure we were satisfied. TJ and his crew worked long hours, kept us informed, even helped us put our decor back in place. We just cant say enough about how happy we are with our end result. Everyone was terrific and we have recommended them to friends.

Very disappointed in the sales representative we had. We had several unanswered and not returned phone calls. He told us the carpet would be installed in 3-4 weeks. We didnt hear anything for two weeks and had to call him. Then the estimator showed up without the sales rep or anyone else notifying us. Good thing we were home. The wrong carpet was delivered, then he tried to talk me into buying it anyway. Then he tried talked to my husband into buying it. We didnt like it!! Promised us he would make it right. That was two months ago. I guess making it right means to ignore that promise. Do not recommend using this company. We are extremely disappointed in the customer service.

Wasnt really impressed with the sales staff. Selection was pretty good but the salesman did exactly what i hate..i went in and told him EXACTLY what i wanted to spend per Sq Ft and he started exactly where i wanted to be....then he said for a little more you can go up to this...then he moved up again...and again... and again ...until we were over double what i asked for. I just left.UPDATE: In response to the owners response: If someone comes in with ONLY $2000 to spend...why would you show them flooring that costs $4000+? Nice try. This is exactly what i dealt with while i was there..you guys try to put a spin on everything to get what you want. And now youre trying to put a spin on it to make it look like you were doing a great job when you were just UP-selling and pushing for more money than i had to spend. Also, you didnt show me an overwhelming amount of products and i never said you did. You simply showed me items that were more and more expensive than what i asked for. Had you showed me an overwhelming amount of products that were in the price range i asked for...you would have made the sale. This reminds me of going to a car dealership where you tell them you want to see all the 4X4 Chevy trucks under $25k and they end up trying to sell you a $40k convertible sports car. The flooring he was showing us wasnt even the colors we were looking for...they werent the width we were looking for...we asked for flooring with a pattern that looked like WIDE planks and he started showing us flooring with NARROW planks. By the time we were done...we went from light colored, wide plank, laminate flooring to dark colored, narrow plank wood flooring. AND we called back the next day to discuss the issue and they said they would have the salesman call us back...never heard from anybody again. If you read the review from a lady named Jessica, she got the same treatment of NO RESPONSE...and its never their fault..in her case its Facebooks fault. And in another review...Bob Martin:..the poor installation issue was not their fault, it was the installers fault, even though they recommended him. Its always a case of pass the buck...blame someone else or they argue with you...in any case, the customer never seems to be right. If you want to keep arguing and coming up with excuses or trying to put a spin on it that makes you look good..go ahead, i can do this all day. I originally gave you 3 stars, which was generous...but, because of your response, i have dropped it to 1 star. Your apology was like that sarcastic kid in school that punches another kid and says Im so sorry that you cant take a punch....not really an apology, more of a way of way of taking a shot at the other kid while apologizing. I guess this is where i should follow your lead and say thank you..thank you so much for trying to sell me flooring that costs twice what i had...thank you for showing me all the things i couldnt afford...thank you for letting me know that what i want and need is not what you wanted to sell me...thank you for for steering me in the direction of the most expensive flooring you had.

The Floor project has done multiple things in my home. This last time out though I had Luxury Vinyl installed. I spent upward of 4k for this and for the first year and half it was great. Now it is peeling up in about 5-6 different locations. Manager David did come out to house. Said to reach out to installer, which I did. He was to come over and look. Never showed up. Reached out to him again. No answer. Then tried again no answer. I had been talking with David on email about it, and now he wont return messages. Maybe Dave is no longer there. I dont know. Last time I was in he was on the road according to Employees.

Worst place ever with incompetent salesmen. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I have worked with this place several times but I wont again and the reason is the flooring installer they recommended to me the last time I had work done.FYI if you get set up with an installer named T.J. watch out. I had a nightmare with the install that he and his help did and when I called him back to talk about it he was totally unprofessional and did not stand behind his work.Never again! If I could leave a zero star review I would!
