Great experience for me. Staff was friendly. Items were in stock. Aisles were clear and clean. Open at 7am and I arrived early and patiently waited in the parking lot. Easy self checkout experience. WHERE IN YOUR STORE does it say you cant return an unopened, unused air mattress WITH THE RECEIPT for a refund??? Did you just make this up on the fly?? Well you just lost a customer, several to be exact! I took it to another Wal-Mart and refund was issued! No problem!

Cheap prices, decent staff, and usually a quick checkout

We went to Walmarts Vision Center to select a new pair of glasses.The service was remarkable and extremely pleasant. Oh and of course very helpful.We were in and out of there in 15 minutes - glasses picked out and ordered!

Employees werent as friendly as south Walmart. Some departments were well kept and others were destroyed.

This Walmart used to be the HyperMart. First Super Walmart in the US....Now it’s just Walmart. I like shopping here. They seem short staff but that’s not employees faults. The staff is helpful! Helped my elderly grandma out to her car the other day...Props!!

The Walmart Super Center on Wanamaker is lacking cashiers. They dont have enough electric shopping carts (they have several in their backroom that need to be repaired). Which they are not repairing. Their shelves are almost always have empty. I hate shopping there. I usually go to the super center at 37th and Topeka Blvd. They are much better.

Normal experience. The construction has become a difficult thing to deal with. I understand they are redoing the parking lot, but maybe do smaller portions of the parking lot.

This store likes to LIE about its hours. Cant ever get an employee to answer their phone, but you walk in and 30 of them of doing absolutely nothing. The managers I catch sitting by customer service every time and they cant do a thing themselves. Extremely rude when you talk to them

Appreciated being able to get my oil change done the day I needed it done. Staff was thorough and professional.

Im glad Walmart is worried about stopping the spread of germs. I brought this to a managers attention and she used profanity to insult me while I stood there for 10 minutes just to find out the deli was closed. Glad the workers couldnt tell me but were nice enough to keep glancing over to see if I was still there. But they were closed one a hour and a half so thats why its okay to have that mess there.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I placed a food order online Sunday afternoon to be delivered Monday night between 5-6pm. It is after 9pm and still no food delivery!! I called the store to no avail and cannot get anyone to pick up the phone and explain to me why my order isn’t here. Simple communication goes a long way. I finally called the 1-800 number and the associate I spoke with couldn’t get ahold of the Wannamaker store either. I now have to wait another day for my grocery order. This is completely unacceptable. If I do not receive my order by tomorrow at the scheduled time, I’m canceling the whole order and going to Dillons instead.

The 2 people I dealt with in the jewelry department were very nice and friendly. Great service from them.

This place has the most thorough, polite and helpful pharmacy that Ive have the pleasure to experience in about 1,000 miles. Keep it up pharmacy team! Seriously great work!

With a different floorplan than Im used to most high traffic stores having, the overall experience is enjoyable and different enough to keep your interest during the shopping process. Making the entire, usual Walmart experience, an overall refreshing one for once. Much needed. Id say a solid 3.7

Stopped by to pick up some cleaning supplies. The shelves were not stocked, there were boxes in the aisles, and no associates around to ask for assistance. They recently remodeled the store and changed the north entrance. You can no longer enter there now. They reset the whole store and now nothing is where it used to be. The worst part of this trip was that they had many self check stations open and few traditional check outs, but none of them would take cash. We left our items and went to Target. I will avoid Walmart with any chance I get. These stores have swayed so far from what Sam Walton founded the company on. Service and quality have plummeted.

If you want a cart you have to go out and push your own. Why not, you have to do your own checking too. What employees they did have stood around talking about the worthless management. Pretty soon you will be stocking the shelves too.

Visited Aug 10 in the morning, out if popular items, tea, long grain rice. Raspberries were rotten and starting to mold. Employees filling online orders should be more polite to in person customers and move the big carts out if the middle of the isles.

This store may have things that are out at other stores because it is bigger, but popular items may be gone from here first because more shoppers crowd the aisles. Two cashier checkout lanes open. Mostly self checkout lanes.

Found everything I need quickly and easily. Friendly associates and clean store with stocked shelves.

Easy to get in and out of. Always well stocked and the prices are usually the lowest.

Always a great place to go when looking for food, household items, fishing equipment, and much more.

This was a good quick trip in & out as all of us like. Couldnt find 2 idems & 2 different employees helped us. Was so kind to take the time instead of just pointing us in a direction as I KNOW I HAVE HAD DONE TO ME MANY TIMES.!!!! I believe people need recognized when they are DOING their job. Thank you to the lady in bread aisle & the lady that took the time when pushing her dolly of empty boxes down another aisle. She stopped & helped locate glutten free chicken nuggets. Going forward we will be sure to have names.

Im very upset sure to them not accepting my ID is the only one I have🤬. I was able to cash my stimulus check at this store not even 3 weeks ago. The city of Topeka police department does temporary IDs for those that can not afford to renew their IDs or the homeless in our community 😚. The ID they issue us has our picture, current address date of birth and our Kansas id number on the card which is all the information they need from a state issued id to cash checks out pick up money. My apartment complex was set on fire and I have received emergency assistance from red Cross to help me get emergency supplies that I need. But they wont accept my ID so else an I suppose to get what I need? Why is it that we are given something to help us from the Community but the whole Community is not on the same page? Some body from the City or county needs to be taking to these stores and managers letting them know the id is accurate and can be used for the services a regular is would get us.

Great customer service every direction I go. (BUT) tooooooo many self checks. Taking over. Need more humans checking especially for seniors. Might be the only person one will talk to to another human the whole day, week, month, etc. Makes shopping there like extended family. More comfortable. People CARE❣

Pretty sad, thought this was supposed to be the nicer Walmart of Topeka and watched people not scan a completely full cart of items and bag them and put them into another cart. The workers even were standing next to them or very near or sitting down eating. The guy at the door who should be checking receipts didn’t even check ours so I bet they will walk on by with an entire cart of Unscanned items.

Im from out of town and I cant use my card without telling my bank first. Just for context I wanted a drink and I couldnt use any self checkouts because I only had cash and they all were only accepting card so I go to a checkout with a cashier and it had an extremely long line because it was the only one open out of all of them. My only question is. Why on earth would you make the self checkout only card and then only open one checkout lane.

We went to return a few items and customer service was closed at 7:00 pm, but when told that the manager might possibly do something, he walked out of his office, didnt even give us eye contact and said they were closed. We werent even sure he was talking to us since he was talking to others too, but he then walked away!!! He needs to learn customer service.

In my opinion if your going to go to any of the Walmarts in Topeka, this one is the best one to.go to. They always have everything available and stocked full on thefirst shelf. The employee are always friendly and have a smile on their face 🙂

Its just another Walmart....a collective of homeless at the doors and my daughter (17) thought there was someone following her.I doubled back and agreed as this guy was certainly pretending to shop...eyeballing lots of women in the sportwear dept, went a different direction when I started paying him attention.Kinda sad.

This is a particularly big Wal-Mart. I was lost and looking for sunscreen and a young worker helped me find the two places where sunscreen was being stocked. He also looked for the brand I was looking for, No-Ad, which they didnt stock. After that, he helped me find the bug spray which was on the other side of the store. It would have taken longer without his help.I hope if you need help while hunting down wares at this Wal-Mart that youre as lucky as I was with the help.

Had nothing I was looking for. Exactly like all other Wal-Marts. The company has hit rock bottom since Covid. Money maker that doesnt care about consumers.

Absolutely the worst employees ever. People with non visible disabilities DO NOT shop there. They do not believe someone has mental disabilities even when theyre told. More than 1 employee will confront you making it very scary especially when you suffer from agoraphobia and social anxiety. The employees will gang up on you. Make sure you carry legitimate proof that you have disabilities like SSA documents or documents from your Dr. And do not go alone. The 3 very large female employees are obviously friends will humiliate you in front of everyone. Manager Ashton needs to be retrained in customer service. And can someone please tell me when the customer is always right go out the window?

I love this place! I could spend the whole day in this store just checking out everything and digging for bargains.

I will not give any stars to Walmart any more...nor will I shop there anymore...I noticed tonight while standing in line for 30 minutes...no exaggeration...there is no big yellow smiley faces on anything anymore...what happened to the smile on every isle...I dont understand...only two money taking registers open...because theres a cash shortage I had two items to check out...one being cat food...Nobody to help locate anything youre looking for...I am thinking they should just close their doors...and throw in the towel...Wal-mart has lost its customer touch...so disappointing...I did put one star because it doesnt let you post otherwise...

Extremely out of stock and in poor condition. Floor inside the store had holes in several places of the customer shopping area. I was not impressed with the cleanliness. The ladies restroom only had one sink in working condition.

Very hot in front end as usual. In line for cash at self checkout only to be told as I was walking to register that it was card only now.Way understaffed for a busy holiday weekend. Nothing in shelves. Freight in isle and left.Walmart not my favorite place anymore. I will order in line from Amazon and go to Aldis for basics!

The money center says they open at 8am but there was no one there. It is now 9am and customer service said the person shows up at 9am. There was also a very impolite woman at customer service and the other woman was polite and understanding at least. Terrible service. Get new staff

We were harassed by the asset department who swarmed my cart before we had finished checking out. then they wouldnt allow us to pay for the items still in our cart.

I usually avoid Walmart, but this time they had the cheapest price by a wide margin. I avoid Walmart because the store is so big I cant find what I need, the clientele is bad, the parking lot is bad with carts strewn about, and a few other reasons. Not the worst store, but not the best either.

I have never taken my truck to anyone else but the Walmart on Wanamaker in Topeka, Kansas. How do you strip my oil plug, and not put my filler cap on my vehicle? If you stripped the plug, that means you didnt use the right socket or tool. Unfortunately the few guys that know what to do, are hiring clowns. #CircusMechanics

I enjoy my shopping trips to Walmart for the most part. However, I feel like the associates ought to be a little more informed on rules.

It was okay but they didnt have the light bulbs I was looking for. They did however carry the LED smart light bulbs which can be controlled through bluetooth from your phone. These smart + light bulbs also have voice activation as well as compatible with Google for android and apple for for the iPhone. Even though they didnt have the specific lights bulbs I was looking for I found the smart + bulbs instead.

What can I say. Walmart is Walmart! Its never an experience that is more than jus okay. Its crowded, employees are less than friendly. N its almost impossible to find an employee for help throughout it. Well.... unless its a secret shopper! When u ask them for help they pretend they dont work there. If possible I wouldnt even shop there. However, its convenient and they usually have all you need in one stop.

Its a Walmart. Its bigger than the other one. Good for people watching or taking a walk on a rainy day. 4 laps is about a mile.

This visit actually was a decent visit today. Everything went smooth and found everything quickly. Which is always good and makes for a good time at any Walmart. Of course theres never a dull moment. Of course their prices are always lower than just about any place. Not to mention when you use their app to help. In addition to that it always helps to pre order everything online prior to going, so it was already ready for me to pick up when I got there. I also found a couple decent pieces of furniture that I like they were on sale and I took a picture of. Shown below.

Friendly place to shop usually has what I need all in one store.

Had plenty of time to chat and meet people, waiting on a prescription that was called in twice but never arrived. Pharmacy folk are wonderful, but Walmart, give them the software they need to get the job done. And stop understaffing so the poor guys dont have to close for lunch. Come on.

Fast service and very friendly customer service

I was extremely disappointed when I went into the bathroom and the handicap stall had an out of order sign on it and I and four other ladies all had disabilities that really needed to go into that stall oh, and one of them was in a wheelchair! Sure did ruin the whole shopping experience.

They have everything you need but the supercenters are way too easy to get lost in.

Some days I got to wait in line 10 minutes. I time when I get in line. I dont like using self checkout when I have a lot of items. The bathrooms are a lot cleaner. Once in a while you have to wait in electronics.

The selection is good, but quality of produce is hit and miss. There were no live checkers when I was there, and the little customer service around was not attentive, not knowledgeable, wasnt able to assist me the last two times I went, and were not the most pleasant. Definitely dont go in the last hour, as youll really see employees at self check who care about one thing... LEAVING. I understand stress with employment, but at least pretend you care, want to be there, and be willing to get assistance if you dont know how to assist... you ARE getting a paycheck to provide customer service.I rarely ever go anymore, even if their standards process may be a tad lower than others in some cases, its not worth the chaos, lack of professionalism, and issues.

Went to the Vision center. The people were so helpful and they had strict covid-19 procedures and my experience wasnt diminished by any of it. Fast, safe, helpful AND i found affordable and stylish frames!

I live in the town that the home office is based, and they certainly havent made a move like this: most Walmart stores are self checkout, right? Well, here, none of the self checkouts will allow you to spend cash. So, take all your Items, that youve already unloaded once to 1 of 4 (i saw) cashiers. And of course, all had lines, while the self checkouts had several open. Was irritating to say the least.

2 hours on phone nothing accomplished. Worst experience ever. I will never shop at Walmart again
