This ace hardware has such nice & helpful employees. They do not have everything some of the bigger stores do. But they have a pretty great selection & compedative prices.

Came here to get a 2nd key made for my 2008 Dodge, these guys are capable of cutting and programming the transponder (chipped) keys and typically have most keys in stock. Extremely happy with how it went, they are laid back, very knowledgeable and did a great job....definitely recommend them for this type of work and/or everything else you may need from a general parts store!

When I need what I need I go there. They have it and the clerk knows where to find it . Fast in fast out.

We found exactly what we needed. The cashier didnt say two words but I guess we didnt go to make friends, we went to get supplies to finish projects and thats exactly what we got.

A good place to find the hard to find stuff for some reason. If I go to the big home stores sometimes that stuff is next to impossible to find since there is so much to look through.

They closed twenty minutes early first of all. Snotty kid standing at the window couldnt tell me why they were closed at 7:40pm and walking out when the sign says they are open til 8pm. Thank God for sutherlands.

My people! I often get asked several times when im in the store if I need help, they usually have everything I need. I much prefer going here if i can, as opposed to the big box stores. Its so much faster to get in and out and they often carry the specialized things I need. Most of the people are generally more knowledgeable than youll find at the big box stores as well.

Love using our neighborhood hardware store and staying away from Wanamaker. Service is excellent and price well worth the time I save and quality of the product.

This retail location allowed a customer to enter the store and stand next to others without a mask and inside the mandated 6 feet, completely unchallenged. I wont be back. This was March 10, 2021 around 3:00 PM.

Friendly,helpful and great prices

If you want personal service and good advice, Ace is the place. They carry a bit of just about everything for around the home and yard. The prices tend to be a bit higher than big box stores, but you will be in-and-out quickly with quality products and I decent idea of how to use them. Also, tool and equipment rental is helpful and their plants and garden supplies in spring are generally well cared for and competitively priced.

Not a bad store for little things

I bought a squeegee set with a handle, but when I tried to use it I found out that it was packaged with the wrong type of handle. I took it back and Steve was so helpful in helping me pick a different squeegee and even putting it together for me before I left the store to make sure it was ready to go.

A very well stocked, clean hardware store thats somehow thriving in an otherwise very depressed area of Topeka. Lings Café is the only other reason I have for frequenting this location. I will add that theres a huge thrift store in the same strip mall, which might be worth checking into, if youre into bargain shopping ;-)

If you are looking for obscure parts for a lamp or fasteners a la carte, or anything you couldnt find at a big box store, look here. They are a true hardware store. Pricey, but always helpful staff. Extra price is worth it to keep them in business. Also one of the few places to get Craftsman tools in Topeka.

Every time I am quickly helped to find whatever I am looking for. All of employees seem to be very knowledgeable about everything in the store.

We had a very good experience here. We had a key made that we couldnt get at other hardware stores in town. Very quick and friendly customer service.

Pretty rude customer service. Just a bunch of kids. Manager seems snobby. Not a great image for people who have commercial accounts considering the only reason to visit the place if if you dont wanna drive to wanamaker. Only left 2 stars cause rhe successfully copied a key although it took 3 people 10 minutes to do it.

Employees are nice & helpful but didnt have what I needed. The store has a very small supply of metric bolts m10 x 1.25. Had to shop at Fastenal.

The minute I walked in i was marked as a shoplifter. I was a reward card holder but havn t been here for 2-3years, due to being diagnosed with cancer. Then I come here n everywhere i went this guys would follow mean acting like he was fixn shelves. Kinda funny it just happened to b the aisle next to the one I was in. That never happened to me there before and it made me feel real uncomfortable and it actually ofended me. Not sure I will b shopping there again. I will b telln my family and friends about it. If i didnt need a bag of concrete i wouldnt have bought it. 1 disappointed customer. Im sure im not the only one.

This was my first time visiting this store; I needed to buy some nuts and washers to fix my lawnmower. I didnt know how to properly purchase them, so an employee came over to help me. But, when he did it, he added the prices of all of the nuts together, and then multiplied them by the amount I got, then he did the same with the washers. I ended up spending 4× the amount it showed on the boxes that I got them from, due to this employees inability to perform basic math.
