On two occasions this store double-charged my credit card without authorization— I was charged close to $600 for a $300 sale. When I went back to reverse it, I was treated in a hostile way by Mina. I then wasted hours of time on the phone with the credit card company to get the transactions reversed. Afterwards, the store double-charged me a THIRD time on another day. The second issue I encountered was minimal inventory. They had lip liners with no lipstick to match. No lip gloss. I then drove to another store to swap colors so they matched (because the selection at both stores was so limited). A day later, when I tried to exchange one unused product that was still in the box for the identical product in another color-- Mina, the woman who triple-charged my card made a remark that I am taking advantage of the return policy by returning “everything” and told me to drive to Orange County again (an hour away) to exchange one item. SEE PHOTOS BELOW. If I “returned everything,” I wouldn’t still have 20-30 items in my bathroom. SEE PHOTOS. Therefore, if you shop at this store: (1) pay cash; (2) don’t use a credit card; (3)do not give them any personal information; (4) get a receipt and check it before you leave; and, (5) check your credit card statement to make sure you were not double (or triple) charged. It’s unfathomable is that this business owner triple-charged my credit card, then took my personal information (from my credit card) and publicly displayed it online when communicating with other customers. Completely substandard.
I walked in with a list of items I saw online. As I was standing in the doorway, I could hear a saleswoman named Mina (an older lady who speaks with a foreign accent) being very mean and nasty to another customer. I cannot imagine any salesperson getting away with treating customers like this (in front of other customers!) and keeping their job. That totally turned me off to the store. It was unacceptable behavior.
I got my babys ears pierced here. The two women there were absolutely lovely. It is immaculately clean and the earrings were all 14k gold and good quality.
Love to shop at the Merle Norman in Torrance great customer service. The owners are so sweet and the employees theyll go out of there way to help you as much as possible.
Mina is always so delightful and helpful. I always enjoy going in to get my products and am always greeted with a smile. The products are wonderful and have helped me maintain a youthful appearance.
Cant say enough nice things about Merle Norman Cosmetics and this particular studio. I have been wearing Merle Norman for 30 years now and I love having the studio in the plaza it is in now instead of having to go to the mall like it used to be. It is easier to get what you want when you want it and not have to fight mall traffic. The sales girls are not pushy and dont try to get you to buy things that you dont need or want. They are also good at helping you figure out what is good for you and what flatters you. ❤
I get facials here regularly, Nicole is so nice and personable. Private facial room. My skin looks and feels great. Received customized plan to keep my skin great in between facials.
