This place is awesome. Took my son here after he got into spear fishing and got him diving suit booties and gloves. Anthony knows his stuff and got us a good starter set up as well as talked thru some safety stuff.

Picked up a new wetsuit and couple other things. Dave was super friendly and had all my questions answered. Been looking to transition from Hawaiian sling to full spear fishing and Dave made the beginning process for me a breeze. I highly recommend Spear America for all your spear fishing needs. Plus they have a great rental program that Dave explained to me before I left. Will definitely be coming back to finish picking up the rest of the gear i need!

I have visited the shop several times and got great support from Dave every time. Im mostly a scuba diver with only part time spearfishing activities underwater so it was great to have Dave provide help and show me proper ways to set-up, repair and check my speargun, bands, shaft and tips. I picked up a shaft to replace one I bent and damaged by shooting into some rocks too many times. There is quite a big selection of gear here. Worthwhile to visit this place and speak to people that are in the water on a regular basis.

Hands down the best spearfishing shop around. I have been buying my gear from their Irvine location for some time and the new, larger, location has tons to offer. The guys in the shop are helpful and knowledgeable and they dont bring in any product that is low quality. Everything that I have bought from them has worked out above my expectations.

Dave was extremely nice and knowledgeable! He walked me through the various concepts behind freediving fins and got me set up with a pair that will be perfect for me. I also picked up a quality freediving mask and snorkel. Super excited to use all this high quality gear.Also the fish tanks in the shop are awesome.

Not only they carry an amazing inventory of the best in the sport, but they are also knowledgeable and stand behind their products. I had a problem with the trigger mech in a gun I bought from them and they just sent me a replacement at no cost. Amazing place!

Dave is a great guy. Thought I would check out Spear America a few months ago and I have been coming here for everything ever since. Spear tip sharpening, speargun bands, speargun repairs, etc. He takes care of his customers and I always can trust him to take care of my dive buddies I recommend to his shop. He will price match for most items. He also is a genuine great guy because he makes sure you dont buy things you dont need and will always ask you about the gear you are using to find you the things you really need. 10/10 would def recommend, he also gives great advice and tips on spearfishing!

Amazing spearfishing selection at competitive prices. Also the staff are spearfisherman and know the sport very well. You wont find that knowledge and experience at a scuba shop.

Bought couple of stuff like spear tip and bands for my ab biller.Dave waited in the evening to hand over my bands ... dude u made me feel like a 1000$ customer vs a 50 $ one ..true mark of a successful business, nice you have won a lifetime customer . Manager Dave was very knowledgeable and hospitable. He stayed late to make sure my gear was ready for fishing the next morning!

New blades and footpockets assembled and delivered, hand delivered to me @ 5:30 am as promised. Literally within 15 mins of casting off, and Dave was waiting with my new fins before I arrived at the boat. Now thats service!Thanks guys, I love my new fins and will see you soon.
