Good place to eat specially if you like Indian style vegetarian food. Nice staff, responsible pricing. The most important thing that I like they have women cooks in kitchen and it’s also clean.
Great food and atmosphere. Friendly clientele as well.
Im Korean-American and Ive been coming here since my college days, nearly 8 years now and never disappointed. Love the food, love the sweets and spices, 💕😘 India. Hope you stay in business for many many many more years to come... my favorite store in Torrance when I come back from out of state.
I have been coming here for maybe 15 years and the owners are such lovely, kind people and they have such a huge inventory of Indian products. We cook a lot of lentils and their products are the best and they have take out food as well and it is delicious, all vegetarian. You wont be disappointed a wonderful store
Samosa and Chilli Pakora were plain in taste without any spices. Most of the grocery items have no price tags.
They have a hot deli serving fresh lunch and dinner menu items. Good selection of mixes and goods to make items from scratch.
Love this place! Always stocked with Shan products which is my go to brand. They also have the mini eatery which has the best samosas and Chana I have tasted. There sweets are always moist and taste great also. As you can read this place hits the spot for you if you craving Indian food. I cant speak for the rest of the food since my favorite are the samosas and chana.
Good hot food friendly staff and great selection Indian goodies..
We used to go here regularly before covid. You get pretty much everything and some good food too.
We’ve been here multiple times because we really like their samosas! Never have had a bad experience.
I love this place. My first visit last weekend around noon time. They have hot fresh cooked Indian food of several choices. All veggie of course. I love love love the pakoras! The ladies are nice. The store is clean and organized. 2 sets of tables outside for dining since we are still in the restrictive tier during Covid19. I totally forgot to take pictures since I was so hungry to eat. But try them out if youre in the area, youll be surprised. They have been in business for a long time, lets keep it that way. Support small businesses because it supports the community. Excellent food. Very reasonably priced.Convenient access.
Readily available indian groceries tasty food for quick need
If you have no where to go and buy Indian grocery then count this your last way.
Nice vegetarian meal. Pay with cash and its a little cheaper.
Good but samosa size is getting smaller day by day :)
Average food, overpriced groceries. 2 star for the convenience factor. Prefer to drive to Artesia for more 50 times better taste and variety.
Great food, great products, great people! I have gone here all my life and I have never been disappointed.
Great place for groceries and Indian food! They have everything from frozen food to silverware. Their food is the most delicious especially their Indian sweets.
This is an amazing little gem in the South Bay.Awesome indian supermarket with staples for everyone. There is also an amazing restaurant inside with tons of vegetarian and plant based meals. Please try this placeCOVID measures are in place
Discovered this place after shopping at the record store next door, and Im so glad I did! They serve delicious vegetarian food, and they have lots of vegan options.I got SO much food for $7!
Very nice food, their sweets are a delight 😋 very friendly stuff!!!
Got some Desi ਗੁੜ, almond and pistachio berfi which was too sweet tbh.
Amazing food in the restaurant area. Everything is great but the Bombay Chaat and the Samosas are my go to.
I love India Sweets & Grocery. The take out restaurant (no indoor seating) is the best for vegetarian Indian food. The food is delicious and the price is LOW compared to other Indian food places. I am in Hermosa Beach and would go to a spot there on the hwy. But they loaded everything with potato and the prices are so high. I go only when I crave some chicken Korma. Besides having delicious Samosas and vegetarian options. They have a wonderful tea section in the grocery. I stock up on everything from around the world. They offer a vast selection of spices also. Sometimes there is a little line to order food so go before youre starving 😋I also suggest you try some of their Indian cookies and sweet treats in their bakery section. AMAZING!! I just wish they would serve chicken and lamb but its ok. I still LOVE India Sweets & Grocery! Make sure you give it a try!! I currently have my dad addicted to the food. He loves the sweet sauce and saag paneer, Baingan Bharta, samosa and more. Just GO you will thank me for sure. Enjoy!!
Nice friendly staff. Tasty food 👌🏽
All Indian groceries items are available at reasonable price. Kitchen also has tasty food. Staff is very good.
They do not have price tags on more than 70%. Very annoying.
Good for all Indian groceries needs and great food for lunch n dinner
Indian Sweets has awesome food! It also has grocery. I love coming to India Sweets and having their awesome food.
I like this indian store. This is really nice store.
Their customer service was great there were a lot of help is there vegetarian food is delicious
Good one. Gps is taking to another route. Not accurately positioned in gmaps
The food looks and smells devine! I was picking up a togo order from Postmates and I will definitely return to by myself food! Super nice ladies working behind the counter. 🙂
Great food and service...
Best samosas. Good grocery. Good people
Good 👍
Good veggie place to eat!! Cant ask for more!! Just good.
I wanted something that have a homemade taste and I had a craving for milk cake. The best.I like vegetarian somosa the flavor was great down to the crust. You can have a vegetarian meal for quick service.
Update: July 29, 2021. My wife bought 10 samosas, 2lb Pakorey and Gulab jamuns which we took to our friend place so we could enjoy lunch together. Worst experience ever see details below:It was the most embarrassing when my friend served us the food which we brought from this shop.1) gulab jamuns tasted like uncooked flour and had disgusting taste that none of us was able to swallow even one bite. All had to be trashed.2) pakora were very dark looked like reheated in oil and didn’t taste good either. Might be stale from last night left overs reheated and served to us. We trashed the pakoras.3) samosa were not good either but still edible that we ate half of it. On scale of 1 to 10 I would rate 3 with 10 being max. Bland samosa with almost no crunchy crust. This was extremely bad experience and it does not stop here. I called the restaurant and shared my experience the owner replied that she just tasted one and gulab jamun aren’t that bad and exact wording “ eeny burey v nahi” see what a pity, owner is saying these aren’t that bad it means they are bad 100%They are in self denial and when I asked for refund she said no sorry. Come to our shop we can have a talk. I replied $50 wasted and this is the last time me and friends in Torrance will give them business.Their attitude was like we don’t care, Indian customers do have options in Torrance so they will eventually only come here. But word of mouth and what you serve speaks for itself and on top of it extremely poor customer service and self denial owner.Hopefully no other customer have to go through this experience. All my friends and family in Torrance will share this experience even though it is neighborhood shop we are not ever going here again.Stop cooking bad Indian food and stop serving stale food and at least improve the customer service.
I go to this store/ restaurant for over decade. They double in size. Food can be good but some of it feels watery. But I like samosa and rasmalai. There is quite large selection of Indian food and items. I buy different hair oils from them.
This is my go to place for Indian food. I love that they always have vegetarian and vegan options available. The amount and quality you can get makes it a great value for your money. I have always experienced fast and friendly service here.
Great Store! Love the food, and the staff is the best i have ever seen....They all treat you with respect. Definitely deserves 5 stars. Great vegetarian options, they describe each and everything very well and in great detail for you! Best Indian food I have ever tasted.
It is an OK place to shop Indian groceries. Definitely lot better than anything else in Torrance. To be very honest, I did not find any Indian stores in Torrance. SanJose had like a lot better variety of Indian shops and the quality of the stuff they sell were also superior to this store. This shop is decent size. Has almost all the stuff that is needed. The queues are non existent so you can quickly get in and out. The place is well maintained and has a small eatery inside. So all in all a nice decent place.
If you want fresh, flavorful, vegitarisn Indian food, this is the spot! Its a whole in wall type place so dont expect much in ambiance. Its like eating at your favorite aunties house!
The hot served food here is pretty good and super cheap. The store has a lot of great items you cant find in your everyday grocery mart. Its worth stopping by if youre in the area. The entrance to the parking lot is farthest from the arco station (the are 2 driveways) plus its easier since you wont be fighting the traffic buildup of people waiting to get cheap gas.
They carry everything indian grocery you can imagine in an indian kitchen. They also have south indian groceries. Prices are reasonable. The store also has fair tasting indian fast food or dinner/lunch sets to go or eat in. Spacious enough and has some parking. I always go here. close to other shopping area near del amo.
Found most of what I was looking for there
Nice Indian vegetarian food. Spicy for sure....reasonably priced...good for snacks with full array of groceries for the make it yourself chef. Menu changes daily but everything is so tasty.....who cares? Just balance your choices. 😃
Grocery is a little expensive compared to other Indian stores. Food is a bit bland for Indian taste buds. Chaat items like Bhel Puri or Papdi Chaat are really disappointments. They can definitely do better. Samosa is the only thing thats really very tasty. All other food, pass!
Has great Indian prepared food and groceries.
Good selection. Great vegetarian lunch available at their counter. Its a great value and quite tasty. The staff are a bit stand offish. Not really unfriendly, just not friendly either.
I absolutely love this India sweets me and my mom would go all the time. The sweets are really great but what this place is really amazing for is the lunch specials. You can get a meal to share with somebody for $5-7dollars. A typical lunch special looks like two different sides, rice, chapati and pickles. The samosas are also really good they are very cheap and you can get them with a red sauce or green sauce. Get the Bombay chaat if you want your mouth to explode with flavor.
So many variety goods ‼
Food is authentic punjabi. However, ambience is not great. If you combine grocery shopping with a quick eat, this is a time saver. Dont forget to try the Indian style tea they serve for free.
🙏🏻 Sat Sri Akal. I had visited the place on the day of Guru Gobindshinh Jayanti when I was on business travel for 2 weeks. They didnt charged anything for the lunch that we had on that day. Great gesture. God bless you.
Never had a bad sandwich from here... Its the best..pope of India Sweets & Grocery is great! Oh, and so is the godfather... Ive seriously had about 20 different sandwiches from here.. All scrumptious...super nice people who work there too.
Very good slection of Indian food. A lot of items available here are very difficult to get elsewhere.
Terrible, here are the reasons to name a few:- Most of the grocery items are either expired or dont have manufactured date. for instance check out their coffee powder section by the fridge you can find stock from 2018 or early 2019 the ones that have expiry dates are expiring on 2/20- Food tastes bad, if you are desperate for Indian food try bollywood zaika in redando beach- Restaurant has a B or C food certificate, speaks for itself- in addition to all the above grocey is expensive compared to most of the other Indian grocery
Food taste is consistent. Hope they have eggplant next time.
Ordered 1 dozen delicious Samosas 😋
Food fresh and priced reasonably.
Worst place to visit. They charge extra dollars from the customers. Not recommend anyone to visit this place
The best spot in the South Bay for Samosas! The prices are amazing. This is our go to spot for lunch at work or to bring to a potluck.
Love to shop here. My wife gets her hair color, i get some spices... and of course, some yummy food. :)
Quick stop for daily indian grocery n dessert pick up
I visit this place sometimes to buy Indian groceries and sweets. 2 days back I bought one of my favorite Indian sweet “burfi” from this place. When I started eating I noticed that there were 2 kinds of burfi pieces mixed together. This was kind of strange but I thought the old lady might have mixed a few pieces by mistake. The next morning when I opened the box again I saw that all small pieces had fungus on them while the bigger pieces were still good.
We have been going there for years and always experience the best. Good food and clean environment.
Good options at the store for the average person looking for some nice vegetarian food. I feel that their only really good option on the menu is their Aloo Paratha. They have a good grocery store as well.
Good for grocery but not for food. Hardly any spicy. But a good local grocery store for Indians in Torrance.Pakoda is nice but not samosa
International market & deli specializing in Mediterranean / middle eastern cusine. $$$ Not a large variety of choices, but the prepared food is tasty.Employees arent particularly welcoming. But, if you need a specialty item, you just might find it here.
Always good i dian food at very agfordable prices and the same flavors as back home. There has seldom been a disappointing experience... its worth a visit. I promise you will return!
Probably the biggest Indian grocery place. They have fairly cost effective lunch and dinner combos as well. Average is $5.99. Used to be cheaper but recently they raised their proves by a $1. Still a great value
Fresh vegetarian dishes and desserts. Large selection of Indian groceries. Friendly family run business. Great place to have a tasty meal.
You can find variety of Indian groceries, vegetables and also some freshly made snacks.
Love this place, very affordable and great tasting food. Ive tried pretty much everything they have in the hot counter and have never been disappointed. Definately a good place for a quick snack on the go. Try the samosa Chana if you enjoy a bit of spice - for 3 dollars you wont be disappointed.
Buy my curry spices from here but the store seems a little disorganized .
This place is great. Has all them Indian supplies and cooking stuff you could ever need. Serves a great vegetarian choice of lunch.
Excellent
Head here for some desi authentic Indian food. You would love it. Just a note, only for vegetarians. No meat or chicken available.
Good variety of vegetarian food with okay taste. All necessary Groceries are available as per Indian family requirement.
Omg!! I felt in love with these place bc it is began pkus i live undian food. Its has all kind of teas, sauces, many more food.
Samosas are good, food is OK. You can get most of the Indian grocery and snacks here.
Nice place to get your Indian fix. They have a great selection of authentic Indian groceries and ready made food to order.
Very nice place sweets were delicious staff very friendly
Amazing place to get indian food
The bhatura and samosa are fresh and delicious.... always coming back for more...
Indian grocery store that has hot Indian veggie food. They have some tables so eat there or take out. Great flavours and options.
First of all to clarify. This is a review on the food that is being served to eat inside and not the actual grocery portion of the store.Indiam vegetarian options are offered at very affordable prices. Combo plates run you at 6 bucks only that includes a variety of foods to tentalize your senses. Authentic and tasty, the food doesnt disappoint and you are left feeling satisfied both in your belly and wallet.
An average little Indian market with a very good deli in the back. They have meal combos for only $5.50 to $6.50. They have 8 different veggie curries to choose from. The bigger combo also includes pakora, yogurt and several breads. The curries are spicey and very tasty.
Decent collection. I cant comment much on the price. Isabgol was cheaper on Amazon though.
This is a great location to find many staples from India and Pakistan. Spices, vegetables, etc. They have great lunch specials as well for reasonable prices
If you want vegetarian Indian food. Or looking for indian produce and spices. This is the place to go. My family always come here for our Indian dishes and spices
I am not sure of their grocery, but the food here is awful. They add lot of artificial coloring agent for food, which would have detrimental effects on our health!! I dont recommend this place
I go here for samosas, mango lassi, sweet lassi, spiced cashew, & vegetarian combo meals.
Good place for Indian veg food and grocery
Nice store providing all Indian items. Located strategically.Store employees are cordial and welcoming.
Asian groceries and hot food for fair price. lot of sweet selections as well. near del amo mall.
This place is amazing. Get a number 1 for under 5 dollars. Best lunch you ever had.
Indian Veg Restaurant serving different varieties of North & South Indian dishes in Torrance, California.
