I had the worst possible experience with a retail store at the Towson Town Center Payless Shoes. I bought a pair of shoes under the impression that Payless Shoes had the Best Return Policy. The reason I was under this impression was because of the GIANT WRITING on the wall behind the registers saying PAYLESS SHOES HAS THE BEST RETURN POLICY IN AMERICA. I had the shoes for 2 days, and decided I was unsatisfied with the shoes. When I bought the shoes I even asked the cashier what their return policy was, and if I could return the shoes if I was unsatisfied. She said I could. I then asked if there were any exceptions or conditions of returning the shoes. She told me that as long as I had a receipt that I could return the shoes for full credit. Came back two days later, talked to the EXACT SAME cashier and told her I wanted to return the shoes. She told me I could not get a full refund, and that she could offer me store credit. She would not budge on this at all. I tried to point out their stated return policy on the wall behind her, and the lack of conditions for returning on the receipt, to which I received the same answer I can give you store credit. There was no logic, reasoning, or common sense, instead there was a robotic repetitive response. I asked her what her name was so I could at least talk to her manager about her, to which she refused to give me.DO NOT BUY SHOES FROM HERE. They claim to have the best return policy in BOLD letters behind the registers, on their website, and on the receipt, but they will not refund your money. The shoes were complete crap as well, within two days the stitching was already coming apart.

Servi e was very good, associate was helpful. They just didnt have what I was looking for.
