Mr. Batra is really good at helping you pick what you need and in a timely manner within your 30 minute appointment time frame. If you know what you are looking for thats even better and will make his job easier. I was in and out within 30 minutes of my arrival. I also didnt have time to waste. He was efficient, and had good customer service skills. I will highly recommend this store for all your Indian clothing needs when you are in the bay area or surrounding areas and is the next best thing to actually traveling to India. He is a wholesaler who recently opened to the public. His business supplies all of the retail stores and because he is a wholesaler, you will get your clothing and accessories for a reasonable price. High quality fabrics, trendy designs, vast variety of options, reasonable prices, great customer service and business acumen... what more do you need. Customer service was phenomenal, which is why I gave 3 stars. They really do go above and beyond when it comes to helping you pick out an outfit. However, I did experience issues when it came to getting my mother’s dress altered. My mother requested full length sleeves for her outfit and we were told that this could be done without any problem. After about a week we went to the tailor to pick of the dress only for the sleeves to be only 3/4 length and not full length. I informed them of this and their reasoning was that there wasn’t enough fabric. So, my mother and I met with the owner again and explained once again that she wanted full length sleeves. She also requested that the shoulder be loosened a bit since it was a bit tight. He told us that he can make that happen and would have the tailor use extra fabric from the skirt to complete the sleeves. They measured my mothers sleeve length several times to make sure they got the right measurement. After a week, my mother goes to pick up the dress only to see that the sleeves still fell short and the shoulder area was still a bit tight. Loosening the shoulders and adding full length sleeves should be easy for an experienced tailor, so I just don’t understand why after two attempts, with a weeks time in between each attempt, this still was an issue. It’s a bit frustrating, but otherwise their customer service is great and they really do have some beautiful outfits.

I bought party wear and loved what I got. Manav was awesome. We were aloud to try clothing. He was not hesitant on opening and showing what he had. There was a lot of choice for adults and children. They have variety of sizes for big and small people. Will totally recommend this place.

I was completely blown away at how the house and the variety of inventory this facility had. Once entering you will be greeted by not only the friendliest of staff bye-bye a variety of collections to choose from that you will not know what to do. Very welcoming and understanding to your needs and vision and will work with you throughout your experience there. I came not knowing what I was exactly going to find and I now will be completing my entire shopping only from here. My family and i were helped by the father and he is the the most rude human i have ever met. customer service was horrible from him, you are rushed, only given a couple items to look at (3-4) and forced to choose your outfit from the options he gave. he kept telling me i needed to eat more because i was too skinny. all he would say was stuff about how skinny i am. i could not believe how horrible the service from him was, it was unbelievably rude. he is a rude human and i will never be coming back due to this horrible and rude experience with him.

The selection and service at this place is amazing nobody can come close to prices and styles. My wife went in here and found what she needed and theres still money left in my bank account which is rare with Indian clothing. My wife and I came to Batra Exported for the first time not expecting much but we quickly got an education. The store has an incredible variety of clothing that took several hours for us to parse through. Ultimately we ended up buying a lot more things than we had planned, not only for our wedding but also for other parties. In addition to the selection, the prices were also great. We enjoyed working with directly with the proprietor Manav Batra, whose expertise struck me as unparalleled and reminiscent of a master tailor. Mr. Batra was expedient and knew exactly what needed to be done. Alterations were made available in a timely fashion in spite of being requested at such short notice. Overall amazing work. Im happy but more importantly my wife is ecstatic (which as we all know is what really counts). Now I know why this guy says he is saving lives by appointments only. Haha!

The main owner of this place is very rude and doesn’t give time to anyone. He try’s to get you out of the shop as soon as possible and is very annoying. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

I shopped around looking for a Punjabi suit (lenga) for my daughter. It was averaging approximately $100 in several shops in town. One place offered custom suits starting at a startling $350. Found Batra Exporters in Google Maps. He opened up the warehouse on a Sat morning. I got one of the lengas pictured, a full set of bangles, a full set of bindis all for $55. Unbelievable value. Don’t walk here. Buy a Tesla and drive with Ludicrous enabled to here.

Expansive selection, but not great service. Sorry to say that we will not be bringing our business here in the future.
