I would not get my carpet from anywhere else. Excellent and fun experience when picking out our carpeting. I really enjoyed the whole experience from the time we walked in to pick out carpet to the finished installation. We were very overwhelmed with choices from other places but Bodamer Brothers staff really helped us find the best fit. We also needed the carpet in a little over a month and every other store we visited said they needed at least 2 months. Bodamer Brothers said they could install as soon as the carpet came in and they did. Also, a big shout out to Tom for his installation. He was fast, friendly, and did a great job. I would highly recommend for carpet.

Great local company! After shopping around for carpet for quite a while, we went to Bodamer Brothers and that was it. The decision was made. Very easy to work with, friendly, fun and fair. VERY pleased with the installation. Tom and Jeff were great. Will definitely request them for our next flooring installation. And will definitely recommend them whenever possible.

We were referred to Bodamers from a friend and the whole gang there was fabulous to work with. We were updating a family home to put on the market and they worked within our budget and helped us select both flooring and carpeting that complimented everything nicely. They were also very patient as it took some time for us to select being we were at times working long distance. The installers Jim and Tom were outstanding and very attentive to details. We had some challenges with an older home and matching molding and they went above and beyond. Our realtor even commented what a fabulous job they did on the install. Thank you Dan, Brock & Jim at the store and Jim & Tom, the installers!

They sold us the wrong product for a job and then told us the warranty would not cover it because it was a residential product in a commercial use. How we were supposed to know that when we went in, told them what the floor was for and they suggested the product that we bought... We are not the flooring experts, they are supposed to be. I am sure they will respond to this review and blame me for some reason, and they have that right. But know this-they do not stand by their product. If there is a problem it will surely be your fault, not theirs. We had to hire someone else to replace all the flooring that had basically bubbled off the floor in about a year. BUYER BEWARE. Read the other reviews.

Super disappointing. And frustrating.I was so excited to be working with these guys. Super helpful and nice in the store. Found several options for what I wanted to do. They came out to measure and were thorough, pleasant, and helpful again. I was ready to order my carpet. But then they never got back to me. I called three weeks later to inquire about my quote. Still hadnt been done. Another week went by. I have heard nothing.I would have had new carpet in my home by now if I had started somewhere else. Very nice people. But communication was non-existent. And the website contact form has never worked since I started shopping for carpet.

I couldnt be more pleased with my new flooring from Bodamer Brothers! The salesman knew his products and set up a speedy measure with a quick turn around time for the quote. We had carpet removed and a vinyl floor installed that has the look of hardwood. It is beautiful and is the perfect product for a lower level application. It is a definite upgrade to the look of the space! We were very impressed with the installation crew (Brock and Jerry).They were timely, professional, and friendly. We were very comfortable with them in the house. They also did a fine job of cleaning up. I would not hesitate to recommend Bodamer Brothers!!!

I have intentionally waited to post my review because I wanted to see how the carpet and installation would hold up - everything has been great! I could not have been more impressed by the service at Bodamer Brothers - everyone was extremely helpful and personable and took a personal interest in my account. They worked with a very challenging timeline and their installers were knowledgeable and great. I cant even tell where the seams in the carpet are! I definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Went to 7 carpet stores - they all had high quality products, but Bodamers was w/o peer wrt genuine friendliness, depth of knowledge, and skill and patience at discerning our needs and desires and offering several good solutions - just real good folks! And our carpet installation was done with great care and attention to detail - impeccable. Id give em 6 stars if I could!

The hardest part of doing business with Bodamer Brothers was choosing the flooring I liked the best. There are so many choices! The knowledgeable staff answered all my questions and resolved all my concerns. Installation was a breeze. The installer made the flooring look great in my house with superb attention to detail and real pride in his work. We recently purchased flooring from Bodamer Brothers for our new home here in Traverse City. To say the least.... WE LOVE OUR NEW FLOORS!!. The staff was so nice and easy to work with. When we went in we had an idea of what we wanted with the latest craze for this new waterproof flooring, but we werent sure what direction to go. We ended up finding the perfect color and look and they made us feel very confident with our decision. We were surprised the price we were quoted for the entire job was actually LESS than we had thought... especially since we had been to a few other stores in town getting ideas and putting together a budget. We had Mohawk Smart Strand True Harmony installed in our basement after we had stripped and primed the floor with Kilz. We updated to the prime pad as well and are very pleased with the carpet and the installation. We also liked the fact that the carpet is produced from recycled plastics. Would recommend this business.

Bodamer installed whole house carpet and tile 5 years ago, never had a problem. Finally a very small tear appeared in the carpet where it met the kitchen tile. I called Bodamer Brothers up they rushed right out and fixed it! No charge. Theyre the best.

Installer (who is a subcontractor) did a great job. Everything else about our experience was horrible. The communication and customer service was very bad. We got different information depending on who we talked to. We had issues with their salesmen, schedulers, and billing department. The owner was rude and threatening to us over the bill due to a discrepancy in what we were told by his brother. A most unpleasant experience. We do not recommend this company.

We had Bodamer install both carpet and tile in our home. The guys did an amazing job. Everything was done as promised and on time. It seems lately it is very difficult finding a contractor that will do what they say. Not the case with Bodamer. They go above and beyond. You will not be disappointed.

The installation team of Tom & Jim at Carpets Plus provided excellent service and communication on the time they would arrive. The carpet repair work was excellent and the team provided additional helpful tips on getting out tough stains and maintaining the carpet.

I think we did it all, carpet, hardwood, tile and it is wonderful. My daughter had a whole plate of spaghetti drop on my brand new carpeting two days after it was installed!! I panicked, but Dan Bodamer talked me through the clean up that evening and true to his word NO STAIN. Simply amazing. I also want to thank Matt for putting up with this stressed out woman (me) during our construction and making sure everything ran smoothly and was installed perfectly. Im a installer and i wouldnt recomend using this place they are very unorganized ive worked for almost all the stores over the years and they are the worst by far they dont have a carpet cutter and make the installer cut the carpet in there dirty driveway and half the time its raining i would always have to move stuff around and use the high low to even get the carpet because they never had it ready so i always had to do someone elses job..they use the same pad no matter what its low quality..and they would belittle me and argue with me when there was a problem instead of figuring it out

I really wish I could give a negative 1 on this review. Our company purchased a very expensive ESD tile floor. After a year the floor is still leaking adhesive not the whole floor just half. Bodamer sent a installer to clean and seal the cracks that were leaking in the tile floor. After he sealed the cracks we waited until it was dry and called the manager back to look. When the gentleman went to show our manager the floor saying it wont leak anymore. Up came some more adhesive during his demonstration. The manufacture of the floor and adhesive came in to do some test and check out the floor. I told him how we cleaned it and asked if that was the proper way to care for the floor and if our cleaning could have caused the leaking. He said the way we were cleaning the floor was perfect. He was guessing humidity or something else was going on with the floor, but couldnt be sure till after the tests to make sure it wasnt defective adhesive. The manufacture asked us if Bodamer flooring did humidity test on the floor prior to installation. The manufacture said that there would have been domes all over the floor for 24 hours for the type of testing. I replied no testing of that kind was preformed prior, since we were here and in the building when the stripping and prepping of the floor took place. My manager asked Bodamer flooring if a humidity test was done and Dan said yes but there is no documentation to prove it. Which if you went to the trouble to do they test why not save the results. If we found out we couldnt have tile due to our humidity we could have gotten a roll of flooring and not tiles with several seams. Bodamer flooring said that no matter what we say he wouldnt believe that it wasnt our fault for the way we were cleaning the floor. Well if that was true then why only a portion of the floor has oozing black liquid leaking from it. Bottom line they called us liars, sold us a very expensive floor and will not do anything to correct the problem. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I have several pictures of the floor and that it is leaking in half of the building but can not paste them here. I will post them on Facebook review. Bottom line we didnt use improper cleaning on our floor. You yourself told our manager that you did not have the test data. Hmm funny how you have it now. If it was improper cleaning then it would be happening with the whole floor not just a section. Not to mention we have the cleaning instructions and follow them to a T. We also had the floor professionally done the first cleaning per the instructions given to us and it was leaking before it had even been cleaned the first time. You clearly misunderstood what our manager said about chemicals etc. or you just took that snip it so you had a out not to fix the problem. Our manager was not the one cleaning our floors. We in the lab were and know what was and was not used. We NEVER dumped anything on our floor to over saturate. Dan needs to step up and take responsibility. I would very much like to see the humidity test results. The manufacture went over our cleaning procedures with us and said we were doing the right thing so no over saturating like you are weakly claiming. Again I say if it was improper cleaning then how was it leaking before the first time anyone cleaned it. It is also funny that only a portion of the floor is leaking. Dan never came down to see the floor. When the manufacture came to discuss and look at the floor, neither Dan or any of their people showed up after they were called several times. When leaving a negative review people may notice that Dan attacks his customers saying they are negligent and dumb. Any flooring issue is never Bodamers fault always the customers. I could not see Dans nasty response to my review it was blocked. I had to read it on a friends computer. Someone at work sent me the link to the response and I still couldnt access it. Bodamers warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.

Found out what I had installed was NOT what I thought I bought. Installation problems - didnt replace all the trim, broke a mirror.

The whole process was outstanding. I was hesitant to go there after seeing the bad review, however a companys website of a product we were looking for listed them as the only carriers. We had been to several other stores in the area and out of everywhere, Bodamer Brothers was the most straightforward, helpful, and delightful to work with. They were the only ones who would give me an exact breakdown of what everything would cost and all their prices had total job listed instead of everywhere else, price didnt include pad, labor, etc... Very transparent and honest compared to other places, which I was not expecting. Kurtis the salesman went above and beyond, researched many many products for me, measured house perfectly( no overmeasuring or overordering matierials). He was also very helpful, honest, and nonpressuring. I met Dan Bodamer several times in the store and he was extremely nice and helpful as well. They both did everything to make sure we were well taken care. The install of hardwood, carpet, and vinyl went flawlessly and turned out beautiful! They really transformed our home. Highly appreciate everything they did and strongly recommend them!

We ordered a floor from Bodamer Brothers. At the time we ordered the floor Mr. Bodamer said we would get a 5% discount for paying cash and that the full payment must be made in advance. After waiting six weeks for delivery and having our old floor removed, the flooring was nothing like the sample we picked from. When we told Mr. Bodamer that we did not want that floor he initially tried to bully us into having the floor installed saying that is a beautiful floor and I have the same floor in my house. When we rejected the floor he informed us that there was a 25% restocking fee if we didnt pick a floor from the same distributor. We were given three other choices for that distributor, none were acceptable. We went looking for another floor and found one that we liked at a competitor. We then contacted Bodamers and asked for a refund accepting the 25% restocking fee and the cost of removal of our old floor. Mr. Bodamer refused to refund our money and called the dealer where we found the other floor the biggest crook in town plus made other very disparaging remarks about that dealer. He told us that we had a contract with us (which we never received a copy of.) He then told us that he would get us any floor that we picked out from anyone else but that crook. We went to other flooring dealers in town and found another floor that we liked. The floor was also priced lower than the original floor. Bodamers obtained a sample carton of the flooring so that we could see it in the house. When I picked up the sample carton, I asked if the distributor had enough of the floor in stock to do our house and was told that they did have enough. We called Bodamers the same day and told them that the floor was exactly what we wanted and to order the floor. We waited five weeks for delivery of the flooring with numerous promises of delivery coming and going. When the floor arrived, it was a significantly darker color than the sample carton. We decided to have it installed anyway since we had been living with subfloor for such a long time. I called Bodamers prior to the start of the installation to check on the heat registers (we had asked for flush registers when the original measuring was done and Mr. Bodamer had agreed that flush registers were the way to go and would be installed.) The installer was very gracious and did a good job of installation. When asked about the flush registers he told us that Mr. Bodamer had told him that we wanted drop in registers and that they were on order. He also told us that he could not install flush registers once the floor was down and that we could only have drop in registers at that point. After the installation was complete, I sent a certified letter to Mr. Bodamer asking that he refund us the difference between the quote price and the actual price of the flooring based on the price of the floor from his competitor and the actual material provided (the quote was for 868 sq. ft. and 803 sq. ft. were installed plus three thresholds that were quoted were not provided or installed.) He refused to accept delivery of the letter and it was returned to us unopened. Bodamers has not provided us with a final statement to date. We believe that he owes us over $1800.00. We will NEVER do business with Bodamer Brothers again and advise others to be very wary of their shady business practices and to never pay the full price in advance for anything from this business.
