I was excited at first with the outcome until the cracks began to come back two weeks later... then when I called (in hopes that they could do it again) they said all they could do for me is put my payment towards a new windshield. If I would have known that I wouldnt have done it.

Called them and they arranged a quick appointment to come fix the windshield chip on my Audi. He warned me chips sometimes spread when repairing, this one was nickel sized. It spread, cue new windshield time. I did not work with them for the replacement due to pricing. The chip alone was 99 dollars for repair, which my insurance would cover completely, but I wont be paying the ridiculous pricing for a replacement. Went back to my windshield people (which required a day off of work) but well worth it to save hundreds of dollars.

Would not recommend safelite in troy or any safelite location. You will be lied to and overcharged for having your windshield replaced. If I could give them a 0 star, I would.I recently scheduled an appointment to have my windshield replaced and I booked the appointment online, and it gave me the price of $213 to replace my windshield without insurance. When I arrived for my 4pm appointment and checked into the front desk they said it would be $213. After waiting an hour and a half to have my windshield replaced, the team said my car was ready and asked for my credit card. They did not say how much they were charging but since the email and the lady at check in said it was $213, I figured that’s what I would be charged.My credit card was charged for $404, almost double what I was promised. When I received the alert from my bank for the $404, I went back to the office and told the team that they made a mistake. The team ensured me that they would be contacting their AP team and wouldn’t process the invoice for $404 and would get back to me the next day. The next day (Tuesday) they did not contact me. On Wednesday I called the shop and talked to a team member and they said they would reach out to their manager to discuss the issue and get back to me. They said they understood my frustration and that I should’ve only been charged $213… I still have not heard from anyone at Safelite about the overcharge on my credit card. Stay away from this company.

I had two interactions . One, was when Adam from Safelite came to my residence and fixed some chips. He was awesome. Fixed the windshield and all is well.My other experience wasnt so great I had to take another vehicle into Safelite and have the entire windshield replaced. Unfortunately they ordered the wrong seal so I have to reschedule. I will update when they are ready.

Hmm, not sure where to start. I had been referred to Troy Auto Glass (now Safelite) for rear window replacement. First, it was disorganized, but handled quickly. That’s where it goes south. Apparently, the tech who worked on my car was having an off day because I was assured they were very skilled.Essentially, the tech damaged the surrounding area with some sort of tool when removing my rear glass on my hatchback, didn’t bother to own up to the damage obviously created, and I was notified to come pick up my car, blissfully unaware this would not be the end of the replacement.I picked up my car and sadly, my car was FILTHY due to the parking lot repairs being made. So, I hop in my car as it was close to closing time. I inspect the work when I get home and notice DOZENS of dents on the hatch of my vehicle.My issue is this is apparent, and any tech who is skilled should have owned up to this, as it wasted my time.I call the shop in the morning and am instructed to send pictures. I do and I am approved to head to a body shop to get the damage repaired. Mind you, this is all MY TIME being wasted, as the tech could have owned up to this, the car could have been taken to the shop, and fixed, and I would have had to miss far less work.I cannot imagine being now under the SafeLite umbrella service will improve.

I went to the place under a friends recommendation. I own a car with a driver assist feature, so I’ve been asked to quote a cheaper price without calibration, and they agreed on $3xx with their manger approval. But when we were on site, we’ve been forced to pay an additional $150 for calibration. Understanding that running the business during covid is challenging, totally respect... but what makes me feel really bad is they don’t trust the customer, which made me feel that I was making up a price to bargain. I’ve been shown my quote history, I’ve been asked to provide my friends name, I’ve been told that my friend’s car and my car are using different windshields… come up, it just went a bit too far to be honest…Other than that, I am happy about the end result, even by paying extra, but experience-wise, I have to give a 1 star. I think everyone deserves to be treated with honesty - I wish I was the edge-case.

I contacted Safelite to replace the windshield on my wife’s 2017 Golf Alltrack. We scheduled an appointment and just prior to the appointment, my wife was notified that the windshield was damaged, so they rescheduled. Again, right before the appointment, my wife was notified that the incorrect windshield was ordered and it needed to be rescheduled AGAIN. This last Friday, Safelite arrived to replace the windshield and the technician informed us that he had a windshield with a rain sensor, which is not the model that is required by my wife’s car. I called Safelite customer service to explain our frustration with our experience so far and that I was considering going through a local glass shop, which mind you was quoting me $100 less, and she said the local Safelite shop manager would call me to talk through how to make this right. I never received a call from the Troy location and we have an appointment for this afternoon. Our experience so far has been really frustrating and when our frustration is expressed, the leadership of the branch can’t even call us to apologize and see what we can do to make this right. If this is the normal experience, please avoid Safelite at all costs. The amount of time we have put into adjusting our schedule 4 times to have this replaced is absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable.

Super. Good price, great quality, easy process. Im very frugal, generally do all my own maintenance, and typically scrutinize any work done for me quite closely. These guys were so good from start to finish that it didnt even occur to me to check their work until a couple days later.10/10; would recommend, would use again.

High prices fast service

I had my windshield replaced last year. I recently had another cracked windshield and checked around for the best price. The Troy Auto Glass quote was $600 cheaper!! I dont know how, perhaps because of all the advertising the other competitor is doing. The third quote was $300 more. They are the best deal in town. Original repair guy came to the house (from a different location) but failed to reconnect the wipers and grounding block.Gary had me fixed up and on my way in 5 mins.

Windshield replaced yesterday. First use of wipers TAG installed I discover two different size blades on windshield, one accurate size, one baby arm size, not the same size blade of those replaced. Driving tonight in snow storm both wipers snap off leaving me stranded on the other side of town. Try to clip back in place, they don’t actually clip on to the wiper arm, not accurate replacement blades! Had to drive home in snow storm trying to look out passenger side where baby arm wiper is clearing a small swipe on the windshield. The driver side has no wiper whatsoever. Lost $100+ not being able to drive Uber tonight and going to have a late start in the morning as I have to wait for auto parts store to open. Hoping they can help where Troy Auto Glass FAILED MISERABLY!

Disappointed. I’ve tried contacting this business TWICE now with no response. I originally submitted the “quote” inquiry on the website and then received an automatic response that said someone would be in contact within 10 mins. That was back in August. I never followed back up because it was no longer a priority for me. Recently though, the crack on my windshield has started to become larger and larger so I wanted to reach out again to Troy Auto Glass since he’s local and has very good reviews under his business. I left a simple voicemail two days ago inquiring about a quote for my vehicle and guess what?! No response. I’m not sure what the deal is but disappointed in their lack of concern for responding to new customers.

I have 3 vehicles that need windshield repairs. Not only do they NOT fix stone chip repairs but they don’t do replacement windshields for older vehicles. I have a 2005 van and a 2003 truck and both they said were too old. I asked if they knew someone who could fix my broken windshield since they can’t and the answer I got was google it. Well I didn’t not see on their page that they do not do small repairs nor see anywhere they refuse work on older vehicles so how am I supposed to google if other companies suck at providing those details like them?

They replaced my 2007 Tahoe Windshield. Perfect . Used advanced sealant which meant it was as good as new in less than a hour. They handled my insurance claim . Nice people to deal with. Rarely bother to rate businesses but these guys deserve to be promoted.

I had a small windshield crack fixed by another company that turned into a foot long crack across my windshield. I took it back to get the windshield replaced but was told I would need to wait more than a month to see if an aftermarket windshield becomes available. It was a sunday afternoon when a tree branch fell on my windshield. The following day I was able to drop my car off in the morning and picked it up at noon.. I wasnt an ideal way to start the work week, but super thankful the team at Troy Auto Glass was able to take care of my car in a timely manner so I was able to get to the clinic and work.

The process was seamless from start to finish and the windshield was replaced quickly and easily. This was about 7 months ago and new windshield is still perfect. Sadly, we have a crack now in the windshield our OTHER car and I am getting ready to call Troy Auto Glass to come out again.

Timely and helpful. I used the key drop the night before and got a call first thing with an estimated completion time and cost.

They went the extra mile that others wouldnt to get my windshield crack resolved. this involved some grinding off of rust where the windshield meets the metal. Other windshield replacement companies would not do this - but Troy Auto Glass did - and I thank them for resolving this at no additional cost.

I put in a request online and they called me almost instantly. They were fast, friendly, and less expensive than working with the recommended company through my auto insurance. Plus they have a warranty to cover their work. The next time Michigan roads get the best of my windshield, Troy Auto Glass will be my very first call. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Fantastic experience - had a two foot long crack in the windshield of my Cadillac. Gary worked directly with my insurance company and the whole process of replacing the windshield was seamless. Highly recommend - even if you have to drive a little further, it is worth it.

Troy auto glass facilitated communication with the insurance company which was seemless. Vehicle was worked on as promised and ready when promised. Minor problem noted when returning home due to shop not reassembling one side correctly. Brought car back another day and it was promptly fixed. All is good. No leaks or rattles.

Ive had a rear windshield and a front windshield replaced in two vehicles in the last six months by Troy Auto Glass. Both jobs were done on time (and fast) at a lower cost than the local competitors. Hopefully I wont need to use them again, but with our roads, Im sure I will.
