Mom and pop classic. Very friendly and welcoming. Kind of like going to grandparents house who just live rite down the street for dinner.

TL:DR 9 / 10It’s a quiet place surrounded by mostly residential area. I was shocked by how much they have in stock. On my first visit, it was a lady behind the counter who helped me out and 2nd visit it was gentleman who let me in early before opening time. The Lady and Gentleman I dealt with were very polite and customer service orientated. I came in looking for whiskey and ended up buying 3 other bottles they had behind the counter. Most people will find what they are looking for or get a good recommendation on something new to try. Was ripped off here. Charged for a bottle of liquor that I did not receive. Was not given a credit card or register receipt. Went into the store to discuss this with the older man, who waited on me previously. Explained exactly what happened, wrote everything on a piece of paper, pointed out each item I purchased, did the math for him--and he refused to credit the money back to my credit card. I was called a liar and told to leave the store. Sorry, but I am not used to this kind of treatment. You would not expect this treatment from a store in Troy. I highly recommend you stay away from this store, if you do not want to be cheated out of your money.

I havent been to very many of them as I had an apartment there. But from the experience is that I have had, theyre typically quite classy but the cost are on the very high-end for what you get...

Im 28. The older man working here on July 20, 2017 around 9 pm refused to sell me a bottle of wine because my hair is straight in my license photo and I was wearing it natural (curly) when trying to make a purchase. Make sure your hair looks exactly the way it does in your license or youll be refused. Will never return.

Just lost a customer. I stop in this often before work to grab an energy drink. Today I pull in and the owner is on his way in as well. I rolled down my window to see of he was opening (since hes not always open on time) and instead he started into me about how I could get a ticket for driving through his lot. I told him that I was actually coming in to purchase something. He said sarcastically oh, right, sure... Etc...Your going to get a ticket. I told him I come in all the time, sorry you dont believe or recognize me. Not going back there ever again. Way to literally send your customers away.

The sons are very knowledgeable about beers and liquor, the dad (owner) is less knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable.
