Greg was awesome! I specifically reached out to him after reading all the great reviews and they were spot on! He is extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle I purchased (which was my dream car and a big purchase for me). I decided to order and he was so helpful during the process including keeping me informed every step of the way (the vehicle came from the UK)!. The final process to buy the vehicle was the easiest I’ve ever experienced. He’s just the best!

Purchased my wifes car from here in early 2018. As for a services and quality, they are excellent. Car is cleaner than you dropped it off and all repairs are done promptly. However, they are not even close to cost effective. We had an issue with my wifes door not locking. Took it in for a repair, total cost a little over $1050, part of $376 and labor was $500 plus, plus taxes and fees. Two weeks later, the same issue happen with the other door. Price shop to another repair place, same part was $126 and the labor was $200. Yes, a 3X increase on the part and almost 3X on the labor. Again, services are bar none but that prices are excessive. We will go elsewhere for service.More....The part was OEM, the repair shop provided the receipt/box. It was not a dealership that did the repair but the techs are ASE and certified in Land Rover repairs.

I took delivery of a Range Rover a few days ago. My speakers were making a crackling sound when the volume is up. I took the vehicle into service and they took the time to review the issue and put me in a loaner vehicle. The service manager Adam got involved and was great. He was adamant about my issue being fixed. He even took time to ride around with me to make sure the issue was resolved.

I went to this dealership along with my wife today to inquire, possibly test drive and receive information on the 2021 Land Rover Defender X. Upon exiting our vehicle I observed what was obviously someone’s personal Land Rover Defender parked near the service department bay doors. I looked over and observed a two door Defender parked near the sales office trailer as this dealership is currently under remodel construction. Upon our approach of this vehicle my wife and I both observed as two representatives/salesmen stood by on the steps of the trailer as we looked at the aforementioned vehicle. A third salesperson approaching the sales trailer made eye contact with my wife yet neither of the three salesmen/representatives at any point asked if we needed any assistance or had any questions. I love when individuals make the conscious decision to judge a book by its cover without being wise enough to open the book to explore the pages. This dealership and members of their sales staff personified this for me today. As a former Land Rover owner I was considering returning to the brand. After today’s experience and after also having had positive, professional experiences with a past leased vehicle from Mercedes Benz of Saint Clair Shores. Maybe as a person… I would be better suited, treated and respected at Mercedes Benz.

Tried to purchase a locking lug nut key. Was told that it was an aftermarket lug lock, after looking further turns out that it is infact a Land Rover part. They did try to sell me a set of lugs that I didnt need, whats the point if the tire cant be removed.

Me and my family bought a Range Rover HSE this past November from this location we got all the works warranty bumper to bumper all the insurance we need we had no problem paying for whatever we needed when the vehicle caught a flat tire we took it into their service department and we explained to them that not only was there a flat but we also needed the back bumper repainted due to it chipping and also the back sensor needed to be fixed as well due to it going off for no reason. They had explained to us the next day that the back bumper was an after market bumper but we never took the vehicle into a collision shop we bought the car the way it was and the salesmen never explained to us that the vehicle had any after market parts and never even told us that it was in an accident. The service was done on the car in the end after 2 months of going back and forth with them and when we got the vehicle back the sensor on the back is still going off and the vehicle was extremely dirty. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a car dealership and I will not be retuning here or recommending any family, friends, or business associates to this location either.

Complete scam. Charged $700 for doing essentially nothing but an oil change. “$185/hr for labor is standard” I was led to believe by Don Slezinski that the $700 estimate was for the entire repair but then got an obscene estimate and when o decided not to do business here was forced to pay the $700 initial estimate.

Don S my service advisor has been such a huge help to me. I punched a used 2012 ranger rover sport it had some issues but with dons help they got revolved . Since there arent any local Land Rover dealers in my area...I had my vehicle towed up to Land Rover of Troy. Mark Armstrong is my service rep where we both kept in communication and it was fine. But once I paid a visit to check the status of my vehicle since I never received a call back, things took a turn. I went to the counter and someone got Mark for me, his attitude was very poor. Needless to I was furious but kept my cool because maybe he was just having a bad day but for someone being in customer service you can at least treat the customer with respect. And as for me being a minority woman, Im not sure what Marks deal was but he was friendly and courteous via phone but when it came to meeting me in person he was very annoyed and rude. Needless to say I will never take my vehicle here again!!! Im a professional women in the auto industry and it saddens me to recieve this kind of treatment I will not advise anyone I know or at my workplace to go here!

Sales part of process is good but they doesnt care about customers concerns at all once purchased. It is been more than a month that I have purchased certified pre owned car and noticed few things that are not functioning properly in couple days of purchase.(verified by other JLR dealer but they cannot fix it for me as they doesnt cover under factory warranty)NO ONE RESPONDS OR TAKES AN ACTION FROM 1 MONTH!!

Came here all the way from Macomb and had an amazing experience with Greg Hooper, he was very much in the mindset of how he could HELP us, not trying to sell us. Great sales team but terrible costumer service. My vehicle had a noise a month later after I leased it. They said it was normal.... second time I took it to service they said it was a recall part that needed to be changed. The noise finally went away. A year later my engine light turned on. When I called in they said it will take a long time to check on my car and they were 2 weeks out of loaners. They didn’t even bother to try to make an appointment to find out what was wrong with my car. I am so disappointed. Stay away from Larry in the service department! I am changing dealers for sure!

So we just moved to West Bloomfield Michigan from the SoCal Desert and traded in our Toyota Avalon for a more Michigan weather friendly all wheel drive SUV... the 2021 Range Rover Velar R Dynamic S!!! It’s a stunning vehicle very luxurious and perfect for all the pot holes and weather here in Michigan. The we got the best dealership and salesman here in Michigan! Jaguar Land Rover of Troy, Greg Hooper was our salesman he was very thorough and stayed in constant contact with us through out the few days it took to get everything in order. And they offered us $3,000 more for our trade here than they would in California!!! Mike in finance was also awesome and friendly, the process was very quick on the day we were do to pick up the car, maybe 30 min because it was all digital and not a bunch of carbon copies and we got the contract on a usb drive rather a bunch of folded up yellow papers. Such a smooth transaction no pressure not the typical car salesmen that come to mind like in those I’ve dealt with several times in California, and it didn’t take 6-8 hours to buy a car like in used to in California with all that unnecessary the back and forth between the finance guy and the salesman, just honest car sales and a very comfortable process. We highly recommend Greg Hooper and Jaguar Land Rover Troy!!

If there was an option to rate no stars, Id rate my experience exactly that. I was looking for a specific velar for months when i came across the one I have purchased from Troy Land Rover. Mike G was our sales guy; communication wasn’t terrible but wasn’t the best. The start of the buying process was fairly easy but when it came time to receive forms, is when everything went downhill. Unfortunately, due to snow storms and Covid, receiving my car (currently living in a different state) was delayed 2 weeks. When my car arrived, I expected it to be dirty exterior because of the salt on the highways however, I did not expect to have to fill up my washer fluid and my diesel exhaust fluid days after having it, and the interior being muddy from people coming in and out of my vehicle..fine - whatever. I had called Mike G and Brian Cupler over and over to figure out what is going on with title and tags only to find out that the information the dealership had submitted was inaccurate. I had talked to Mike from finance who also is extremely vague in his answers. To this day, I still have expired tags on my vehicle, had requested a new set of temporary tags (AGAIN, after Mike G from Sales had asked me to fill out another temporary tag form) on my vehicle as my state only allots an extra 15 days of expired tags. I have left voicemails, and emailed countless times. We have purchased two other vehicles from out of state and NEVER EVER had an issue. Be aware of what you are getting into when dealing with this dealership and team!!

The Service Department staff are very courteous and knowledgeable. They go out of there way to take care of customers. They call with updates about your vehicles status and carefully review the repairs with you. Don, Larry, Sue and Brandon are my go to team. You guys rule! Visited the dealership this past weekend to test drive a Velar. My lease on my current vehicle is up in the next few months and trying to decide the next vehicle. The salesperson didnt even share with me the features of the vehicle. He handed me the keys and told me which route to take. My thoughts were did you assume I wasnt a serious buyer? How would you know that with very little conversation? He was so unremarkable I cant even remember his name... Ive never seen a salesperson who offers nothing! I was so disgusted and put off I really had nothing else to say or wanted to waste anymore of my time with any questions... This dealership wouldnt get my sale! My visit at Volvo was honestly like night and day. Not sure Ill circle back for Land Rover. This dealership lacks.

This is on of the worst run luxury car dealerships I have ever dealt with. Left 2 messages for the service manager to call me and no return call. Late on delivery of promised time to return car. The list of issues, surrounding their service department is so lengthy it would take pages to describe their shortcomings and lack of professionalism. My advice would be to find any dealer but them to deal with.

Super nice service sales workers...Don & Brandon I dealt with. But....they don’t take the time needed to diagnose problems with your car. Not only are you going to pay an arm & a leg, you aren’t going to get perfect service. I’ve been bringing my Range Rover to them for about a year now, only have had it for a year & a half. I’ve spent a ton of $ there knowing else where would be cheaper...because I thought I was getting top notch service & they were the ones I could trust the most. I was wrong. Recent trip I bought my car to them, they had it 5 days, told me this is what’s wrong & it was $1,400. Almost $1,000 alone for labor. I pick it up & pay. The issue I brought it in for, was STILL happening & making it un safe to drive. I called for 3 days...& had to drive on it while un safe...waiting for them to finally call me back, not until I spoke with customer service of the dealership did they. Tried to tell me to wait 3 more days & drive on it, had to force them to give me a loaner AGAIN..call me 5 days later, tell me it’s another issue they must’ve “missed”(no they never test drove my car ever), & wanted $1,200 more....finally said that’s it, took it else where. The other shop confirmed to me they were wrong about multiple other issues they tried to get me to waste $ on & do. & now I found a new issue they “missed” they had my car for 12 days total & couldn’t find all issues I described. Good service sales people, but the mechanics clearly don’t take their time. Glad my car & I both didn’t get hurt, while driving on a mistake made by them. Probably won’t be going back.

If you are in the TROY area and want to purchase a car in the nearby area like me, AVOID Greg! I do not know how the dealer managed to make such a good review score on Google (Now I know, see my latest edit!), my recent experience at this dealer is negative with the sales, Greg. He is a strong attitude human being which means his professional level is below average. Couple of examples, he is lack of proper answer to my questions about the car but showing that I am asking bad questions. What kind of sales human being will do things like this? His strong attitude is here and there. Fortunately, other sales are far more professional enough to encourage me to do the purchase of a beautiful VELAR.Got to say the initial image that Greg gave me only earns one star. If I spend so much money on a car, I deserve a better sales at least.TROLL- review alert! The whole servicing process is so disconnected. I scheduled on a day, then I reached out via web chat for. Reschedule. They never got. I had to personally visit them to figure out. OK, once car is given for a scheduled service and now I am waiting for a ride back home. I am in waiting room for over half hour and now one showed up. Shouldnt they think customerss time is valuable? Should a customer wait for half hour? I understand they run a courtesy shuttle service. A minimum some can check on me and update the progress? While discussing about pricing for service the service men indicate that I am driving a luxury car and diagnosis costs money. That being said, the customer who drives the same luxury car should feel important and being taken care of right? That appear missing.

Scheduled an AM appointment and dropped my car off the night before. Simple stuff, just a suspension checkup and changing windshield wipers (Pauls Auto Wash ate the drivers side, Advanced Auto Parts employees broke the clip on the other). Was told my car would be done by 2PM when I booked. Its now 5:38PM and my car still has no wipers, and it looks like nothing has been done to it. If you want to waste your time, call Don at Land Rover Troy and service your car here. Dont take my word for it, please. Give them the chance to thoroughly disappoint you.

I have a 2018 Range Rover. The car has a sticker price of $105,000. Since day one the car has been horrible. So many little quirks and issues make this car a horrible mistake. Its like pulling teeth to get the service department of follow up. In March I lost a key. It took 4 months to get a replacement and even then part of the key is missing. Almost 6 months now. Cost of the replacement key over $500 which they demanded up-front payment. The windshield replacement was just short of $2,000. The navigation system is poor to useless and cant accept any verbal instructions. I could go on and on. I even contact Land River corporate and guess what? They did nothing to help. Just a bad vehicle and a bad company

TERRIBLE! Took my car in for a rear end noise. They kept it for a week, test drove it for 10 minutes and said there is nothing wrong. Charged me $160 for nothing. BEWARE!

Called land Rover spoke to BRANDON informed him that there was an security issue with my range rover and my steering column was locked it probably would need to be replaced and I wanted them to verify. Brandon quoted me $189 dollars over the phone to get it checked out. When I got to the dealership BRANDON was with a customer and said he would be with me in a minute a guy named Larry in service said you dont have to wait I will take you. I told him I had already spoke to BRANDON and what they problem was. He had me explains everything over to him and wrote up an estimate for $350. I told Larry wait I spoke to branding and he said $189. Larry said we just do the $350 estimate but it would be $189. Long story short larry called me a few day later telling me they cant check my car because the steering column is bad and it will be $350 to pick my car up or $8000 to fix my steering column so they can scan my car. My family and I HAVE PURCHASED MULTIPLE CARS FROM THE SURBURBAN FAMILY BRAND BUT AFTER DEALING WITH LARRY WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM. If you want to have you land Rover worked on by a professional honest company use rover land its in the city of Detroit 4564 Oakman Blvd, Detroit, MI 48204 www://roverland.business.site/ but their service is A1 and I have not had any issue with my range river since they worked on it.

I contacted this location (LAND ROVER OF TROY) about replacing a plastic molding piece that came off my outer windshield. On the phone, the service associate indicated that it would be $80.00 to diagnose the issue. I responded that I could understand an engine/mechanical issue needing diagnosis by a mechanic, but that it would take 2 seconds to view the part that fell off and provide me with a replacement and install charge - to which the associate agreed to waive the hour labor charge. I also scheduled an oil change. When I arrived the associate handed me a pre-bill for $330.00 to sign, without explaining or itemizing. When I asked for a breakdown, he had put the $80 charge back in, and removed it when I questioned it. Upon return, I paid $250.00 for the oil change, was provided with a myriad of supposed issues and other items he recommended (alignment, coolant, fluid, air conditioning service, etc) to which I politely declined at this time. I normally pay $189.00 for an oil change at same dealership, different location, so Im not sure about the $61 discrepancy - I already had an uneasy feeling so didnt question it. I found it odd that the guy before me was told by this associate that he would receive an online survey about his service, but that he didnt offer me the same (I still havent received one). Im not looking to get out of costs on an expensive car, Im just looking for trustworthy service. I will drive the extra 45 minutes to Utica next time!

If I could give this dealership a negative I would! I have never been treated so terrible in my life. I had to walk up to people inside the sales department to get help on a car we were interested in. They really do not care to sell cars. They didnt even try and had terrible personalities. As soon as you walk up and into the building you get a very bad vibe immediately. I hope everyone wanting a Land Rover or Jaguar will take their business elsewhere this place is so awful! You get rude looks from every employee just for bringing any kids with you even when my kids were on their best behavior the entire time. They didnt even have a baby changing table. I will buy my dream car from another Land Rover dealership who actually knows how to sell cars and makes the experience fun.

I went for a simple oil change since this dealership just opened. It used to be just a jaguar dealership and is super close to work. I have a Landrover LR3. I have been going to the lakeside dealership since 2008. The oil change there only costs me $90.00. I was stickershocked after I got my oil change and got the bill here. They quoted me at $270.00. After I told them what I normally pay, they reduced it to the special on the website for an oil change plus tire rotation of $199. They did not rotate the tires though ... I guesss partly my fault for not asking how much it would cost for any oil change... I took the the lakeside dealership cost for granted. I definitely won’t be going to the Troy Landrover dealership no more. The drive to lakeside is worth the savings... it’s a bigger dealership too if you need to wait for your car. The prices here are not very competitive... reminds me of Fred Lavery... another dealership to stay away from if it still exists.

I always want to buy a RRS, which has all the cool factors I like. I stopped by on a Saturday but it was a really unpleasant experience with this Troy dealership and I end up buying a new RRS from Lakeside (very nice service and sales). I love the RRS.
