This is a nice and cozy shop for artisan bath products like bar soaps and bath bombs. They also sell a small variety of lotions, lip balms, and candles. There was one person running the shop who was very friendly and helpful. They have a good collection of soaps with different fragrances. The fragrances are subtle than what I am used to, nevertheless, they smell good. So if you are a person who does not like strong smells, this is the perfect place for you. I have been using their soaps for a few days now and it leaves my hands feeling clean and moisturized.Parking is kind of limited in the area so you might have to park a little further away.

Stumbled upon this shop on Google and drove 45 minutes to get there. It was definitely worth the drive. The soaps were so beautiful and smelt amazing! Cant wait to go back.

Love the handcrafted variety of soap bars. The witches and hippies place is close by but the soap is more affordable here, and its fulfilling to know you are supporting an individual whos business survived covid. Shes always in a good mood and happy to help with any questions.

Bought four of their soups and so far used the mango tango and victorian rose. Theyre wonderfully soft and the scents do last some time after showering.

Love this place! I go in about once a week for handmade and natural candles, shower bombs, linen spray, lotions, sanitizer, and lip balm. The owner is lovely and extremely helpful! This shop is such a gem.

I love to support woman-owned micro-businesses whenever possible. My husband & I have shopped at T&J Soaps since 2013, and refer to the delightful shop owner as the Scent Queen due to her magical ability to recreate nearly any scent (try her Ginger Ale scent and tell me were wrong). She even made the soap favors for our wedding, and managed to capture the fresh air & cedar scent of a redwood forest in soap form...incredible. Weve purchased: soaps, candles, lotions, and an array of adorable soap dishes and cutie little decor items. We order online due to pandemic restrictions at the moment, but her shop is just the cutest, definitely worth checking out if youre in downtown Troy.

I have been buying soap from here for years and it’s always lovely stopping in! The soap is top quality and there are a wide variety of scents for everyone to find something they’ll like. The store always has tons of other great stuff to buy. If I’m ever in need of a gift this is my go to spot. The owner is wonderful and clearly puts a lot of work and pride into her soap/store/business!

Best soap store Ive ever shopped at. I have 4 major reasons Ill keep ordering from them even after Ive moved out of state:1. The soap actually smells like the thing its named after. It sounds simplistic, but so often, rose = musty, overly sweet old lady perfume, or lemon = industrial grade cleaning products. With T&J, you can expect that rose smells like the flowers and lemon smells like the fruit.2. None of the scents are overbearing. When scents are combined, you can smell all of them together in a good balance, and the soap is never too strong.3. It lasts. So many little soap stores or private vendors sell excellent-smelling soap that ends up dissolving far too quickly. These soaps probably last me two months each, despite liberal use.4. Its delicate on my skin - Ill use it on my face, too, and it never dries me out the way commercial soaps will.All in all excellent, and thats not even mentioning the atmosphere of the shop or the customer experiences Ive had there. Ill probably never shop anywhere else again.

Such a wonderful shop! My boyfriend and I get all our body soap here and enjoy chatting with the owner, Theresa. She is super sweet and makes such lovely handcrafted products! There is a wide variety of soap scents and designs throughout the year. We’re honestly never disappointed and it’s exciting to catch news of new items on the T and J soaps Facebook page! We have also gotten sugar scrub, lip balm, and soap dishes. There are even more items to pick from though, like dish towels, greeting cards, perfume, candles and lotion etc! The store is small, cute and well organized. A great place to buy for yourself and find gifts for others! I really recommend a visit~

I have been using Theresas soaps for almost 2 years now. I love to touch my skin; its healthier than it has been since I was young. Her products hold their scent for a long time and theyre so lovely. The shop itself is amazing and the staff is top notch.
