As a new quilter the staff has been so kind and helpful as I have progressed thru the various stages of quilting. They are very knowledgeable and patient. The fabric choices are also amazing.

I stopped in while visiting my daughter and the ladies here were so friendly and helpful! All the fabrics were gorgeous and displayed in such a way I could literally picture so many guilts! I wish I lived here!

I was there to drop off a sewing machine for service. The new store is very spacious and well lit.

This is a very nice quilt shop. I was greeted in a very friendly way as I entered the store. I would have loved to spend time browsing but did not.I walked around the circuit around the store and left because.............the friendly people who worked therewere NOT WEARING MASKS!!

Wife brought in machine fir serviceRich solved problem along with staff.She left very pleased and new machine .We thank Rich and staff your out standing. Looking forward to next visit .

Would give zero stars if I could. Masking is a public health mandate, neither of the owners were masked, only one of the students in the class I saw was, nor were the employees. I questioned it, and was told well, theres a lot we dont know about the virus. That may be, but theres a lot we DO know, part of which is that masking makes a difference. Theyve been one of my regular stores, but I WILL NOT be back.

Decent fabric selection. Poor staff. My first time shopping at this store I was treated disrespectfully by the staff. I waited in line for my fabric to be cut and when it was my turn, the attendent just looked at me for a while before aggressively saying, “well?? What do you want?”. I didn’t leave a review the first time, giving the benefit of the doubt that it might have just been a bad day.I went in again a few weeks later hoping for a better experience. I was met with the same rudeness. Many of the employees did not have on masks, and when I asked if their store didn’t require them (during the state issued mandate) they snapped, “no, not if you can’t wear one.” When I avoided close contact with the maskless employees, one said, “it’s perfectly safe and you have no risk being close to me. Don’t be so scared.” I left the store feeling frustrated at this outward aggression toward their customers.2 out of my 2 visits left me unhappy and saddened that I cannot shop here without this treatment.

Great store. The selection of fabric is way above what you would find at Joanns. There is an awesome selection of notions and hardware for makers like me to love to create bags, purses, wallets and back packs. I met the owner and she was wonderful in explaining to me how I could transfer the warranty on my Bernina to her store. The woman at the cutting counter and cash register was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Fabric Affair and I will be using this store from now on for almost all of my fabric needs.

Unfortunately this store is not following the law regarding wearing masks and if YOU wear a mask you will be treated badly. I left immediately. I wont be going again. You dont believe in COVID thats your thing, but be an adult and follow the law for the sake of everyone else!

Everyone who works here is knowledgable and very friendly. Have been in there many times and always had great experiences. Even took classes there. Did end up buying a Bernina sewing machine which is awesome. Also they have the greatest selection of fabrics. Great quilting place as well as a Quilting machine for rent to quilt your beautiful quilts.

The repair on my sewing machine was done promptly and professionally.Richard is very knowledgeable and skillful. He is always very helpful and understanding.

Was almost done with my current dress for one of my granddaughters and the feed dog quit! I packed up my wonderful Bernina and took it to the Dr. He treated my emergency and I was able to finish the dress and bring my machine back for an overdue maintenance spa treatment. Love the attention!

The Fabric Affair seems to be the place in Oakland County to go if you are in need of sewing machine repair and or accessories. They also specialize in maintaining and repairing embroidery machines. The owners are very helpful and informative, so if you have the need for sewing supplies beyond what is carried by the likes of Jo-Ann Fabrics, then the Fabric Affair should be able to take care of you!

Very nice fabric shop for quilters. Attended a new product presentation and enjoyed hearing about the new products and patterns available. Michelle is very nice.

Very disappointed in this store. Minimal selection of fabric. Attempted to up sell a machine when all I wanted was fabric. Seemed to take advantage of senior citizens. Haberman Fabrics in Clawson price matched and even took off 10%.

So helpful and welcoming. Ill be back lots I can tell. I signed up for a class to. Cant wait for it to start.

Very friendly people and excellent products and services

First time walking in. From what I could tell, they have a decent pattern choice and I like that they have classes, but I received friendlier service and discussion from JoAnn later that day than I did here. The employees seemed to turn their noses up at my pattern, tying (probably because they sell time on their longarm), and any big box store alternative.They apparently only carry one type/brand of batting.

They didnt have what I needed because I have such an old serger, but the staff were all knowledgeable, helpful, and very pleasant.
