They take good care of you and your instruments. Each person Ive worked with has been helpful and knowledgeable. Ive taken several instruments in to either be restrung or repaired and each time they come back looking brand new again!

The door is hard to find, but its worth finding it and climbing the stairs. Look for the consignment shop in the middle of the block and look on the right hand side of the alcove for the door.Knowledgeable and friendly workers, good prices and a solid selection.

John is super helpful and a skilled luthier.I love this place, however, I will be shopping elsewhere due to one of the employees slandering my band because of his radical political views. I brought a clarinet in to be re-corked due to a leaking case. Told the guy which corks were bad and showed him a cork on the mouthpiece. Picked it up this past Saturday, tear of cork at mouthpiece was NOT repaired as requested. Had to take it back today after they had it 2 weeks to get mouth piece re-corked and the same guy I talked to the first time wants to act like he was never told about it the first time....riduculous!

Had exactly what I wanted and the service was awesome! Its kinda hidden but great atmosphere. They have a huge selection and some beautiful string instruments! Prices are good and its always fun walking downtown troy!

Great place for Guitarist! They have all the accessories as well for guitars. They have some other instruments. They are willing to order in what u need. Thier pro audio selections leaves you wanting. The store hours seem confusing between google and thier website and not largely accommodating.

They went the extra mile and took really good care of it. The employees are super nice and whatever you are looking to buy. They probably have it in stock. Dont go to guitar center. Seriously the best music store in the area. They have a great selection with pretty much everything, and if they dont have it they will work their hardest to get it for you. They also do quick great work on my instruments. Would definitelyrecommend these guys to everyone who is a musician.

I first started going there when it was called Sound City Music and it has always been awesome. I would give this place 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper but it isnt the cheapest place to go to. However, the people there are awesome and helpful so the higher price is worth it.

Only place I take my instuments to get worked on. John and his crew resurrected a Fender guitar that my daughter totally destroyed....broken neck, fubared strings, etc. Looks and plays like it is brand new. My wife needed a case for her 7 string that she had just acquired and a new cord for her pedal and took less than 5 minutes to fulfill what was needed.They also offer lessons for various musical instruments from a wide variety of great local musicians.Great prices on top brand guitars, equipment, and other instruments.Service is spot on with a friendly, laid back atmosphere from knowledgeable people.If you are lucky, you might just get to say Hi to Zeke the Dog who is probably employee of the month!They have a wide variety of local music and merch.Much more than your typical music store.An added bonus, I usually ended up leaving with no less than three Bro hugs...For your musical needs...get out to Trojan City Music!

They did a great job setting up my acoustic. The staff is remarkably friendly. The only thing I think could be improved is communication on when services will be done. I wasn’t given a clear date when my guitar would be ready it was just “whenever the guy shows up and finishes it”. If they clean up that part of the customer experience it will be golden!

Bought an amplifier from these folks it wasnt working correctly I took it back they had no problem with that and I got another one also I was trying to buy a certain type of strings they only had two packs but they had three packs of the same type with an extra strain the folks there discounted the other packs with extra strings and it made me happy got enough strings for my guitars at a good price without having to drive someplace else woohoo
