Out of the few Ace Hardwares I’ve been to, this one is definitely the best. It is bigger than the others I’ve been too with a better selection. The store is clean and well marked. The employees were friendly and helpful. I’m glad it’s so close to my house because I’ll definitely be back!

Best Ace supply store Ive been in in a while! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, willing to go that extra mile for you. The cashier was finally and courteous and even explain that getting on the rewards would help me out as a landscaping company greatly with huge discounts explanation point the shelves are clean organized and fully stocked! Not your regular neighborhood Ace hardware they go adjust above and beyond that!

Recently had a flooding emergency and made an online purchase to pick up at the store first thing Saturday morning. When I called to try to have them pull my order as soon as possible, the employee was so helpful and they had the order ready within minutes. So grateful for their help during a stressful situation.

Truly useless help. Asked for a price on an item and was told I dont know, check with the service desk. She didnt even bother to come check the somewhat confusing price stickers on the shelf. Later I asked her where the landscape tarp is and got the same, I dont know check with the service desk answer. Overheard another customer asking about grill pricing and another worker just started guessing which sign was for the grill in question. The customer just said thats ok and walked away. I expected better service from a small family owned store but I guess thats too much to ask.

This is a huge ACE, filled with friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people. This is my new preferred hardware store.

I couldnt believe how many things they had. I went in looking for parts for my dryer and wound up leaving with the tools to make installing my dryer unbelievably easier to do,then I found face masks, cases of water and a bunch of other things. I absolutely recommend going there for any of your projects or just to go browse around, I promise youll walk out with something.

Besides the hardware, they also have plumbing service which is very reasonable in price and they do excellent work.

This place has the worst customer service ever. Ive been here several times since I moved to the area, and at some point I just couldnt take the blatant horrible customer service. I stopped in today to try to do an exchange from another store. The manager was extremely rude, and cut me and my daughter off on a few occasions. This time though I have to add that the cashier was nice, which is a first time... Better late than never right? I will not be back to the store again. The store on Auburn and Dequindre has excellent customer service skills. The employees on Long Lake could use a few pointers when it comes to servicing everyone in a like manner. As I look around, I see others being treated respectfully.

Worst customer service employee told me upfront that store doesn’t show up on google and registers are closed when there were guest inside and were helped at register (website show closing time 8pm and it was 6:59pm) will never go back, undoubtably they have good stuff but customer service was ……

Bought my weber grill on Ace website (not a great experience) but the service at this store was great! The young man who assembled my grill, provided a full orientation of features and functionality and then loaded and strapped it down in my truck. I drove across town Northville - well worth the drive!

Unlike the big box stores they cater to the local needs. They are locally owned franchise that will keep the money in the community.The customer service was AWESOME! I walked in and they insisted on walking me directly to where the product I needed was, they gave advice when the product I needed for my vintage trailer wasnt available. They had a solution though.Would love to see them expand into a bigger facility to bring more competition to the other guys.

Always our first to-go when looking for hardware items. The guys there are helpful, and will go out of there way to make sure that you have what you need to complete any home improvement project. The difference between Trevarrow and the big guys is that you can take advantage of tried and true experience and knowledge.

Great place to ask questions and snag the right part the first time. Products are a bit more expensive than a box store or web, however far more value if you count the cost of your time. Ask for help...they always have the right guy with a solid answer.

So the prices a bit higher then your big box store like home depot but the knowledge and help is far better and it is conveniently located by my house. Very helpful and nice except the one older lady who rang me up once was very short and not really pleasant.

Customer service @ the service desk on Friday 3.20.20 was rude and discourteous from who seemed to be a manager or supervisor. Mediocre at best as I waited without and engagement other than a faint call for assistance on his headset. Being in the customer service business myself in a bit more patient than most. I eventually left the store without purchasing any of the items I needed. Maybe they do so well they can afford to have customers leave without spending a dime. I walked by at least five employees of which only one extended a hello sir. This was a young man who seemed to enjoy his job. Kudos to this unknown employee for living up to the standard and legacy of Ace Hardware. I apologize that I didnt see his nametag.

Ace gets an ace review... the gentle man in service department went above and beyond to help rebuild the pipe connection when I bought the sump pump motor. Very helpful and worked with me to convert an inquiry to sales. I often go there for sundry purchases, however this time the support provided during an emergency situation gets an outstanding applause. Thanks for the service

Walked in yesterday to the manager loudly and angrily berating the associate behind the counter. He was speaking so the whole store could hear him. It was uncalled for, hateful and unprofessional. I asked another associate who that was and shes like oh the manager and kept going. I walked out. I used to like this store, but I wont be back. 😡

The best hardware store ever! All of the employees are extremely professional, courteous, and kind. The manager is always in a good mood and ready to help. This is the only hardware I go to. Doesnt matter how far I have to drive. No exaggeration it speaks for itself.

Very rude and poor management. Im all about supporting local businesses however, I will never shop here again. I purchased 2 lantern flashlights recently as gifts but then decided to return these 2 items about a month later. I didnt have a receipt but I was ok with getting store credit or exchanging the items for something else. The young man at the register, I believe his name was Sam was helpful and was ready to process the transaction. Through their POS, Sam even verified that these items had been purchased from their store. But then, he needed management approval and thats when things went south. This old man who must have been the owner or manager would not allow me to exchange the 2 items without a receipt. Trust me, I get all that!!! I explained that I dont have a receipt but would be ok if he looked it up with my credit card, he refused and said that he cannot look it up with the credit card. Seriously, its 2020 and a retailer cannot look up a transaction with a credit card!!! This man was very rude and loud all the while doing this in front of other customers. I tried to explain that I didnt want my money back and would be happy with an exchange or store credit. But he kept getting louder and louder. I should have given him a harder time about it but I have respect for elders and ended up taking my items and walked out. I actually feel bad for whoever works for this man. As I left I heard him relieve Sam from his post as cashier with someone else. I could only imagine that this poor kid received an earful from this old man. By the way, the items I purchases were never, used, opened or tampered with and still in their original package. Mind you I paid a good 20% more than other major retailers but again, I dont mind spending a little more to support local businesses and the community. I will just NEVER do so with this business.

Great variety of products, excellent service

I neglected to leave a rating after my first poor experience at this store. I only visited today as a last ditch effort and I was so appalled by the way the manager/supervisor was berating the cashiers in front of a whole line of people. It was completely unprofessional and uncalled for, especially during these trying times. I almost walked out the door because I didn’t want to support a store with such poor management. I won’t be back, even if I have to drive further to a store that treats their employees with respect.

The mailed $5 coupons are a joke. Came to purchase Roundup and it is at regular price $21.99. Suppose to get a free refilled, but all out of stock. Had to get a rain check which requires I come back again. Never allowed to use the coupon. Most everything if value is always on sale. Save the postage for the mailer.

These guys have it all for your home. They are our go-to resource for plumbing, electrical and gardening needs. They are really good with advice. Rick helped out greatly with advice on a plumbing problem and was a life saver. The paint department rocks, too. Wouldn’t start a project without a trip to Trevarrow Hardware.

This store has more stuff than i could possibly use. It is awesome!! I could spend a whole day ... maybe two ... just going through it. Lots of Christmas gift ideas for Mom and Dad.

Nice little hardware store, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. One example: I was looking to replace a broken cabinet hinge, and when I showed it to them, they told me they dont sell that brand but rattled off a couple other nearby stores that do off the top of their head.

Ive never had a bad experience at Trevarrows! I probably average at least a visit per week and have bought everything from BBQs to paint. Sure you may save a little by going to the big box stores but thay are not 1/2 mile away and Trevarrow people know what they are doing.

Trevarrow is a wonderful neighborhood hardware store. They have a good selection of hardware with helpful and friendly staff. In this age of online shopping and big box stores its nice to have a reminder of what was great about neighborhood retail stores.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable workers here always help me find what I need. They have given me instructions in how to fix things and guided me to buy what I needed to do it. They have a small, but nice, kitchen section with a decent gadget wall. I would rather go to this store than to any of the box stores.

This is where I always buy paint and supplies. The staff (esp paint department) is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly so I am confident with my products. They store your paint information including the room youre working on so if you need more later, it is easy to find. Everyone loves the Benjamin Moore paint we used throughout our house.

I was having some plumbing issues that I didnt want to pay to have fixed, but I wasnt sure what I needed. I asked the staff what the problem might be. They helped me pick out all the right equipment and gave me advice on what to do. They were extremely helpful and allowed me to save a lot of money by advising me and getting me the right stuff. I really appreciate the customer service I got at this store.

Customer service still exist. Have a part you cant find, they probably have it. A question, they probably have the answer. Live in Bloomfield and we make the drive.

I was trying to find something the website said they had in store. I was told by the store manager to ask a member of the team from the service department. The man from the service department was so unbelievable rude, I was shocked at how to talked to me. It was totally unwarranted.Needless to say, I will never return to the Ace Hardware in Troy.

Worse customer service ever! Don’t send a contractor over there to buy anything, as they will not take a credit card over the phone. I used to buy all my paint from this store. They just lost a customer forever and basically didn’t care when I spoke to them on the phone. They had no suggestion to help out a disabled person that could not come into the store. Inconvenienced the contractor and made him return because they refused to take my credit card over the phone. Next time I will use one of the millions of businesses that know how to take credit cards over the phone. Definitely is a hardship to the disabled.

Trevarrow is the best hardware store around. They can offer guidance from floor to ceiling including the beautiful paint in between with color selections by Carol. Our recent plumber, Dave was the best guy to work with! Our dogs even like to visit - Thank you to the entire team!
