If it’s about great customer service, then head on over to The Niche in Irvine. Great food, atmosphere and a fab friendly staff. It’s not too big so you ought to book in advance, but the tables are well spaced so there is a level of intimate dining to be had. It’s not too expensive and the open kitchen environment sends a message of fresh cooking to order. Plenty of on street and off street parking and after your meal you can wander along the quaint harbour side. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Quick pitstop on a bike ride took us into Niche for a hot drink and a snack. Great scone, doubled up empire biscuits and lovely tea and coffee. Friendly service too!

Great venue. The 3 of us, visited with our 3 Labradors and were made very welcome on a damp and dull Saturday afternoon.Menu was excellent, plus there was a dog menu to.Food quality was great and it certainly was value for money.Definitely would revisit with confidence.

Go here often as the service and food is amazing. Staff always welcoming, happy and go out their way to make you feel at home. Food is 5* always and fast to come. I ordered an extra slice on my breakfast but was advised that the extra already came with the meal and it was a big portion, they could have let me order and spend more money but they didnt. Good, honest people. Will be back again soon.

Booked an early evening outing to The Niche. A small intimate setting, fully covid compliant, seated quickly and warmly welcomed. Advanced notice of a finish by time had been given for a future booking, plenty of time given. This evening was two for one on burgers and we had the special. You REALLY dont want to know the calorie intake for our mains, if you have it, just enjoy, we did. A lovely Tomato and Basil soup for starters, exceptional! Very warm and a really big plateful. The staff were always friendly and helpful. First visit, recommended to book as this establishment is popular.

Genuinely the best burger I have ever had in my 55 years on this planet....and Ive had a few!! The quality of the produce, the cooking and presentation were outstandingly good. Great care obviously went into this and there is a pride in what they do. I could go on about the burger from the beef to the bun, the bacon, salad, cheese...all of the best quality - but the chunky fries could win a competition on their own - massive, yet perfectly soft on the inside and still firm on the outside. Probably not just the best burger Ive had...the best takeaway - it was that good. Very well done Niche.

We’ve been to Niche a few times now and it just keeps getting better! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly - they always go out their way to put a smile on your face! The food is incredible, by far our favourite restaurant throughout Scotland. We went for dinner at Niche after a weekend of staying at Turnberry for a wedding and the comparison is unfathomable - the service, food and cocktails win hands down at Niche.We already can’t wait to go back!

Just back from The Niche in Irvine. The menu is amazing like the food. Manager and waiting staff are lovely and so chatty. Would recommend to anyone. It was my first visit but will defo not be my last.

Lovely place, great meal was had by me and my Mrs. I must say, being a local, I tend to stick to the and places. Its very clear that The Niche will now be one of my regulars for a nice meal out. Great food, cocktails, hospitality and very well priced compared to similar places.

Had a table booked for lunch today. The food was amazing, all staff were lovely. My leftover food was boxed up for me to bring home. Good sized portions. Will definitely be back everything that was ordered was delicious.

We felt we were rushed in and rushed out. It was our anniversary dinner. Most things were spicy so I had mac n cheese. I must say the haggis spring rolls are 5 star.

Style over substance. Ordered small plates to share. The veg pakora was brick hard, sent it back. The tempura prawns were way over salted by the kitchen. One slice of bruchetta pointlessly smothered with half tomatoes for nearly a fiver. Wine coolers only work, after a fashion, if the wine is ptoperly chilled in the first place. Sorry, disappointing.

The food and service were both very good.

We were coming here nearly every week before lockdown,And are now happily back.We love the food, in the months the food is been consistantly good with just one time I did not enjoyed one dish. If there is a criticism to be made is that the menu is always the same and it would benefit of a little weekly specials menu with perhaps a choice of 3 different starters and mains? That will give the regulars a bigger choice, but a part of that it is a very friendly and positive little place. I am looking forward to my next visit.😊❤

Due to the lockdown, Niche are currently running a takeaway service at the door. You can order in advance if you wish and then just pick up and pay. The food we had was wonderful and they had a good choice on their menu. They also do takeaway coffees/drinks. I highly recommend a visit to Niche and then a wee drive to the nearby beach car park to enjoy great food with a great view!

Booked a wee table for a late breakfast / early lunch. I had a large breakfast which was amazing. Scrambled egg to die for! Pal has the pancake stack which I stole bits off without regret. The place has a really lovely feel to it and the staff are really nice.Also do takeaway so of you cant get booked in then I recommend that as an alternative because you dont want to miss out on there food!

I loved Niche Restaurant before lock down but didn’t go so much as I work in Glasgow and we all went to eat and drink in town after work.I have been back twice since we were allowed out but couldn’t reserve a table on the eat out to help out nights, however am glad I didn’t. Everything was as I remember but better.This is the best eatery in Irvine and Kilwinning.Thank you for beautiful food, actually feels like your out for dinner and it’s an occasion!Everyone working there are so lovely, nothing is a bother, do yourself a favour and go!

I really enjoyed lunch at The Niche. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive despite how busy the restaurant was during out visit. Service was quick and our waiter very helpful answering any questions about the menu etc.Our food arrive quickly, was well cooked and the portions were more than generous. Everything was very good and my entire party were very complimentary about the food.I advise booking a table in advance as we saw several disappointed groups being turned away while we were there.On the COVID front all the usual precautions are in place, and the staff maintained good social distancing despite the size of the restaurant.
