Great customer service along with a great product! These shades have made all the difference! It keeps out the East sun in the morning and the West sun in the afternoon. (See the photos for a before and after installation). Not only does it provide shade, but it also decreases the heat coming in. My air conditioner is working less and my electricity bill is lower. During the day, you cant see inside of the building, so it provides privacy. Yet, you can see out the window clearly. During the night, when the lights are off, you cant see inside either. We have many different dimensions of windows and Ian measured every single one of them to fit perfectly. The installers arrived on time, as promised and finished faster than estimated. They were very efficient and worked very well together. Their manager also showed up to assure a quality installation. I would highly recommend Sun Control!

Great experience. They were on-time, efficient and the sun shades are excellent quality and construction. My only complaint was that they didn’t clean up and left a lot of metal shavings around. It took a while to clean. Overall, I would definitely recommend them.

From the initial phone call to Sun Control, to getting my estimate from Ken Martinson, to having it installed earlier than promised, it has been a wonderful experience! The shade looks beautiful and blocks the direct sun from 3:00 PM to sunset and my house doesnt heat up to 86 degrees anymore! I would recommend this company to anyone that needs shades. If you live in, or have visited Tucson in the summer time then you know what hot weather really is. I had a hand-cranked shade installed on my patio (14x9) and it already has made a big difference. The installation work was great; efficient and professional. My only issue was with the initial installation wait (2-1/2 months), and two additional Sun Control-requested installation delays, putting the install about a week after the already-lengthy wait. Otherwise, completely happy with Sun Control.

We had a great experience with Sun Control and everything went as planned. We did get several bids for the job but we preferred to go with Sun Control and we love our new Patio Shades.

We had two outdoor shades and a large electric awning installed on our patios. From start to finish, the company was open, honest and kept us updated on the status of our project. The companys installers were totally focused on ensuring our satisfaction and took whatever steps were necessary to fulfill our requests (for example, they made a significant modification to the conduit line to hide it from sight). When the installation was complete, they made sure we had all info to operate the shades/awning, and cleaned the worksite thoroughly. Very satisfied.

We had a slight delay in receiving our product, but once it was ready the installation was handled very professionally and promptly. The awning looks amazing and functions as anticipated.Update 10/05/2021Sadly, our awning did not make it a full year without an issue. It no longer completely retracts and I am being told that there is nothing that can be done about it. In fact, I was told that this is the way that it is supposed to be and that I really don’t want it to completely retract. Clearly not the way the product was designed nor how it functioned up until a few weeks ago. I am disappointed.Update 10/15/2021Sun Control reached out to us for the opportunity to inspect the awning again. This crew observed that the awning was not level and made the necessary adjustments to make it so. The vibration sensor was moved and the awning is now retracting almost completely. Obviously concerned about their customer service.

We had Sun Control install a motorized shade on our patio four years ago. The work was performed professionally...no issues whatever. We have thoroughly enjoyed the shade ever since. Last week part of the shade came loose from the track. I called Sun Control. Yesterday two technicians came to our home and repaired it. There was no charge. This company sells a great product, professionally installed, and backed by a great warranty. I heartily recommend them with no hesitation.

Although there was a bit of a snafu with the installation of the shades because our soffit onto which it was secured was not level and it was not discovered by the initial estimator, the installers were exceptionally dogged about finding a solution that would prefer light coming in at the “unleavened” edge of the space and installed an additional piece of metal to prevent the light coming through. The shades do a remarkable job of keeping out the morning sun at this time of year and will prevent our house from heating up in the summer months to come.

Absolutely a beautiful product. Our new retractable shades offer us perfect shade & temperature control from the suns rays. In addition, the shades provide us with terrific privacy. Sun Control presented us with a wonderful selection of colors for the shades themselves, a choice in the percentage of light & heat restriction we would prefer, and a choice of colors for the framing hardware. Installation went smoothly. The motorization for the shades added no particular hassle for the crew to install. We were fitted with a built-in remote & given a portable remote as well. All of the work was professionally done. There were no messes to clean up afterward. The crew was prompt & courteous. We never expected the beautiful transformation of our home & yard until after the installation of the shades. Wow!, what a difference! Sun Control is certainly a worthy investment to protect your patio from sun & debris, plus to increase the value & beauty of your home.

My husband and I are very pleased with the service that we received from Sun Control. There was a slight problem with the installation since the manufacturer cut a wrong size piece but within the week a new piece was received and Sun Control sent out the installation crew again and all was completed. There was then a problem with two of the four shade sections not reacting to the remote and not going up or down. Sun Control sent out their service team within a few days of our contacting them and it was two or the four motors that were not working properly. They replaced the motors and all is good. Very responsive. Thank you.

From the first contact with Brett through the install, this was a first class experience. Being in Minneapolis, I searched the entire country for this product and Sun Control was the only company that was willing to ship to me. The install went extremely well and the product is very nice and sturdy. Highly recommend this company and their product. My neighbors are impressed too!

Two installation technicians took about two hours installing one shade on the outside of our 8 slider. They were courteous, efficient, and thoroughly professional. When finished they cleaned the area of work completely and answered all my questions. The shade works perfectly and looks great!One caveat: the company is very busy with their installations and you may have to wait for several weeks or more for your shades.

Ken is someone that is very knowledgeable and efficient at his job. He was always on time and even called a week before the installation and camevoutvon the day of the installation. The shade is perfect and we are very happy with the solar powered and remote control that we can easily roll up or down when needed. Nice thing about battery operated shades, no electricity and no need for permit. Pass it on.

I love the concept of these shades and love them in our home when they are working. The company has been good about coming out and fixing them. The salesman is actually my biggest disappointment. When he gives a quote (and we tell him EVERYTHING we want and need the shade to do), we should ne be nickel and dimes later to get the parts we need to complete the job. It is the fact that we told him UPFRONT and he assured us everything was included and it would work - when in fact it didnt! The installers knew it wouldnt work either - but had to do the best the could.I LOVE LOVE LOVE the shades, the people that come out and fix them, customer service is amazing - but the low stars come from the SALESMAN. I cant give 4 or 5 stars when the first person you meet - the one that is representing you is like this. Happened on both occasions we had him out also.
