Helpful staff. nice collection of old and new.

Pretty much the only place in Tucson at the time that was still requiring masks, and being very very diligent about it. To the point of rudeness. Got a very bad vibe from the place and they lost our business. Not to mention they were selling the first Rogue for at least $200 over its typical sale price. Sad because it was my husbands birthday and he generally drops hundreds, sometimes thousands on back issues. We are fully vaccinated and really resent being forced to wear a mask in a mostly empty store 🤷‍♀️

I love this comic shop. My husband and I have always been loyal to this place. Hands down best place in town for comics. 👌

Theyre a basic comic book shop. Not bad at all really.

The selection is vast and the store is clean and well organized. Every time I go in Im greeted and the owner knows exactly what comics I like and keeps me up to date. Overall its the place for all your comic needs.

This is the coolest comic shop in tucson. They have a huge selection. And some of the best art on the walls. The owner is a hell of a nice guy, who is very familiar with any comic you may be wondering about. I loved this place, and i cant wait to return.

I love this place! Been coming here for years. Always helpful and quick to offer suggestions based on what you like or think you may be interested in. Great selection, esp. with hard to find or unique items. Never disappointed.

This is the first shop I have been to in a very long time that does not automatically bag and board all of their new arrivals. Because of this the vast majority of their copies have bends on the spine, or dings one or more corners. When I asked some questions they seemed less than thrilled to offer any assistance. I love going into comic book shops, but I did not love this experience. Very unlikely I will return.

I’m sorry I don’t get in here very often. It’s a very nice, very open comics store that also carries cards, statues, figures, and other merchandise. There’s a decent selection of back issues and occasional sales.

What a gem! I was in for the weekend and needed to find a shop nearby. The store is well stocked with very knowledgable and friendly staff. The kids section had a great selection of comics for the early readers in the family. I will definitely visit Fantasy Comics every time Im in town!

First time in the shop today, was an excellent experience! Friendly and informative staff, told me about the shop and informed of the various events they have throughout the year. Prices were quite reasonable and collection of action figures and comics exemplary! Plus it was nice and cool on a hot Tucson. Would highly recommend!

Im queer and female presenting and there has never been any grossness from employees or customers to me or my queer friends of color.Queer friendly, the store is clean, quiet, cool, and always helpful employees. Fantasy Comics was pretty dope. It had been my first time in there and I was promptly greeted by a very friendly fellow, Eric I believe? Anyways, he was super helpful and found the issue I had been searching for, ordered it for me, and even helped me find a few things to read while I waited. It was a casual stop in just to check the place out but I could immediately tell he was knowledgable and passionate about his shop. Super family friendly place as well. 110% reccomend for your local comic book needs.

The shop was large and in charge!!! The place was very clean and shiny and his selection of books was outstanding. They have anything you could want to collect and even if by chance they dont have what you want, they will order it for you. All in all it was a great experience!!!

Traditional comic book store with large selection of back issues. Plenty of collected volumes and great service. Best store in town bar none.

I enjoy going to Fantasy. Their incoming back issues are always fun to go through. Back issue prices are fair and their graphic novel/trade paperback selection is very extensive.Their Black Friday and Weeks til Christmas sales are greatly appreciated and have helped add to my collected/graphic novel collection.The layout of the back issues can be a bit confusing at times, and even though I have been here several times, I always seem to get turned around when looking for a specific back issue.Staff is friendly and their Collectibles Swap Meets are a really nice addition.

Fantasty Comics is a comic book shop, in the truest sense. It even smells and looks like a good old fashioned comic shop, too, which I love. The owner has the in-depth, lifelong knowledge of all things comic-related, which is ALSO a throwback. Great guy.I hope this place is up and running for a long time. I live far away (Rio Rico) but stop in whenever I can to grab a few books and support this great shop!

Terrible customer service. Went in to buy comics and tried asking for assistance looking for a particular comic issue but instead of helping me look for it they just told me they no longer had any copies. I found it on my own. ( no thanks to them.) And when I tried to strike up a friendly conversation about some new comics that were coming out soon the cashier just brushed me off and didnt even try to seem interested. All in all Ive had better comic shop going experiences and would reccomend Heroes & Villians over this place.

Im reading some of these reviews and wonder what comic shop theyre going to, because every time I enter this shop, Im always greeted with kindness. I come here so often, because of the amazing customer service. Whenever I visit, I always have certain questions about the inventory, and my favorite comics series. They are all so knowledgeable, and understanding. This is my favorite comic shop!

I have been going to Fantasy Comics for some time now and cannot recommend it enough. Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and courteous. If I ever leave Tucson, this will be one of the places I’ll miss the most. Matt, Nick, and Eric have always been there for me.

This is my absolute favorite comic store in town!! Been going there since it first opened up on the east side of town (by Palo Verde high school) YEARS & YEARS ago.. Matt (the owner) is a class act! Hes always very helpful & friendly when Im there. Id love to work there! I recommend this store to ANYONE whos a comic, super hero fan! On of the best shops I know of in town. Good fair prices plus the cheapest bags, boards and boxes. If your wanting newer books, enquire about their subscription stuff.

My favorite comic shop in Tucson. Excellent selection, including a Humanoids section, and willing to order some pretty obscure stuff. Friendly and knowledgable staff. The only comic shop in town that even knows what Im talking about, much less carries it. Prices are fine.

Amazing place great for new comics, wide variety of comics . Only problem I have is back issues are hard to come by here . Modern and new issuse they will 110% have.

Incredibly rude customer service. We asked to see something behind the counter and the guy acted like it was the end of the world. Made snarky remarks and had a snooty attitude. Go to Heroes and Villains, you’ll get better service.

Wow. Ive been to a lot of comic shops across the country but this one takes the cake. Hard to find old stuff, hard to find new stuff, nostalgic comics from your childhood, recent stuff that you wanna catch up on, theyve got it all. Very friendly, excellent service, & they even discount for military. I found items here that Ive been looking for years for. And although it seems disorganized at first, they just have things organized differently but labeled to where youd have to be pretty slow not to know where to look. Excellent store that I will gladly visit again & again. 5 stars.

Place of awesome-ness

Ive been going to Fantasy for 26 years. The previous owner, Tom, is a comic book legend in Tucson. The current owner, Matt, is amazing, helpful, and friendly. I trust them with all my comic book needs.

Sure, the selection is fine, the prices are average--whatever.Ive been to this place three or four times, each time spending thirty to fifty bucks on graphic novels. One of the things I had previously liked about the place was that it seemed unpretentious.Today, while my wife was thumbing through some books, waiting for me to finish, the owner lashed out and told her to stop thumbing through his precious merchandise.Heroes and Villians, you have a new customer!

On a business trip to Tuscon from Texas. Amazing selection and fun store to browse through if you’re a collector and like interesting comic art. Bought awesome pieces I was looking for for reasonable prices. However, the owner (I assume) made me pretty uncomfortable. He yelled at me across the room thinking I was using my phone to price check on Amazon. “Are you actually scanning bar codes and looking at Amazon?” Excuse me, so what if I was? However, that wasn’t the case. I was actually looking to see if a book was still in print and add it to my collection app. I was the only customer in the store and this really creeped me out. I would’ve left immediately but had to wait on an Uber. I assume he was watching me on his many security cameras. Maybe I could’ve gotten it cheaper on amazon after all? I recommend this store’s inventory but you might have to walk on egg shells.
