Ive been to Pioneer several times for stepping stones, sand, blades, and rock. This last trip will most likely be my last. I purchased a little over a ton of 1 pre screened rock... I wanted the 1 so I didnt have little rocks. Well not only did I get little rocks 1/4 minus but also a lot of dirt. I called back after I started to unload and was told 30% average of smaller rocks and dirt??? I guess I will go to the other places and have them pre-dump on the pile for inspection before it goes in the truck and home. Two-Thumbs Down Pioneer!

Two ladies in the front are just as smart as the pile of rocks.. and rude. Especially when they are not at the scale and you honk after waiting for five minutes. Then she gets petty and not give me a receipt because of the honk. Never have I had such terrible service. Please hire adults, not children

On 10 tons of rock delivered by Pioneer from Valencia Rd location lots of dirt included, not wanted. So when I sent my landscapers CNA landscaping to get more 1 inch rock, much less dirt in their load. On return trip, they were told 10 minutes prior to closing (3:50 pm on Saturday Oct 2, 2020 that nobody could load more rock “tractor guy left already.” Meaning they had to return AGAIN next day. Poor customer service to me the customer.

Amazing experience with the staff at pioneer, after bringing in my measurements( scribbles on paper with somewhat of measurements) they were able to tell me I needed 4 tons of rock. The staff walked me around their selection located in the front of the office and we decided on a Santa Fe grey slate. We then placed our order for that following Wednesday.After a mix up with their new computer system, my card was charged multiple times which sent me and my bank in a panic. Shortly after though I was contact by the companies accountant and another representative (Robert) they together completely settled all of the errors with the computer system and was able to completely satisfy us after the mix up. We will continue to recommend Pioneer to family, friends and our clients. Thank you again for everything and for such great customer service.

What I thought was great customer service at first turned out to be a horrible experience. I went in to order pavers for a fairly large landscaping project. Turned out that Pioneer was in the process of dropping the particular brand of paver we wanted, so they were offering a very good price to sell out their stock. The clerk took my order and said he would make some calls to find and order the materials to their yard that day and that maximum it should take two weeks to get them in. Seemed simple enough.Two weeks go by with no update, so I call in. The same clerk takes my call and was clueless about the order. Once he found my paperwork, he acknowledges that they dont have the product, and that hell have to do some more calling and get back to me in 20 minutes. At this point, Im one week out from the landscaper starting the project at my home. I was not happy. Two hours go by, so I call back. Sorry, we cancelled the contract with that paver company, and we dont have any left in stock at any of our facilities. Infuriating. I should have received a phone call that same day of the original order telling me they couldnt fulfill it, instead, they leave my paperwork sitting in a drawer where it likely would have been forgotten without follow-up. Whats more, is that the clerk didnt even know what he was ordering for me. When I spoke to the manager, he couldnt even identify on the paperwork what I had ordered until I described it better to him. Extremely unreliable and unprofessional.I didnt have the time to waste or the desire to give them my money for some other product, so I went with Marvel Masonry instead, who got me setup and ordered in no time.Update: The Pioneer Regional Manager reached out to me very quickly after the above review and offered his sincere apologies on the situation. He also extended several discounts to me on materials I required to complete the rest of my landscaping project and put me in contact with someone who would directly handle my orders. After several months of ordered materials, we have received everything we needed for our backyard project without further incident and with good service. I greatly appreciate the effort to rectify the situation and uphold their companys service values.
