Called the shop not long ago having issues with the idle keeping steady and strong on my 82 Suzuki gs450t. After mentioning the idle issue within the first 10 seconds of the phone call I was met with an immediate, impossible to fix, the parts arent made anymore ect nothing we can do for you.A week or 2 later I replaced the spark plugs after some looking around MYSELF, knowing nothing about bikes, Runs like a dream now.
My husbands limited ed. Skull & Crossbones Harley was in need of serious work. Truly great work, thank you so much. S & S Motorsports are true professionals. Would highly recommend them for honest, knowledgeable, friendly motorcycle repairs. And the prices/rates were awesome.
If you are looking for a place to rent a motorcycle, this is a great place. We can into town for a while and wanted to rent some motorcycles to tour the area. The bikes were in great mechanical shape, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be doing business here in the future.
Andy is the best....we love Rosie too!!! Up front and honest customer service. This is the only place we will take the bike to.
Great prices, Great service and they stand by their work I will be visiting them again in the future
The best guy to deal with in the city. John sells me parts when i am doing my own work and takes care of doing the repair right. They fixed my stator and its funny but the bike runs a lot better also I have had a problem with the dash lights for a couple months. i kept looking for a short they work fine now. I highly recommend this shop My friend recently got a set of bars from John when he didnt like how they fit john said he would give him a refund funny but Done ended up spending more money on other accessories for his dirt bike, John has always been straight with me and my brothers. Thanks
It was a great place. Prices and service were awesome.
Family oriented and really care. Personable and great work.
Worst vehicular service Ive ever received.I brought my 03 Harley Sportster 1200 in for a few things, at the beginning of the first week of July, 19 - I believe it was Tuesday the 2nd. Primarily, it was dying while running. (I later self-diagnosed and replaced the ignition coil, which was the issue all along.)I told them it was electrical, and that I confirmed it was getting fuel. I asked to diagnose and fix that, and to also perform a 5k service. I stated that I had just replaced the spark plugs. I was supposed to leave the second weekend of July, for a family reunion in Colorado. So, on the 11th, I was contacted and told that the 5k service had been performed, but they were having problems keeping it running and needed to order a VOES from HD, and they also suggested a carb rebuild because they were having a hard time tuning it.I was confused as to why all the other work was performed BEFORE the issue I brought it in for was diagnosed and repaired. At this point, I was obviously missing my reunion, as I was supposed to leave by the 13th. I had no other option than to let them continue working on my bike. I wish I hadnt...After not hearing back for a week and a half, I contacted them and was told that HD had sent them the wrong VOES. Awesome. Thanks for keeping me in the loop.Im finally contacted on AUGUST 9th, and told my Sporty is FINALLY ready to pick up. Over a month after I dropped it off.I pick it up, and guess what? About 2 miles down the road....it friggin dies on me while Im in traffic. Obviously they did not run test my bike after the repairs. So, I replaced the ignition coil which they should have done to begin with.I also pulled the carb to check my jets & needles, because it was running incredibly rich - only getting about 25 mpg.The intake seal was pinched, causing an intake leak, resulting in having to run a rich mixture to compensate. Also, the accelerator pump diaphragm was worn through and cracked - leading me to believe that I was charged $198 for carb rebuild service that was never performed. The spark plugs, which I told them I had just replaced, were also replaced by them - an extra $26.After fixing it myself, I now get 44+ mpg.I will never go to, or recommend them to anyone with a Harley.
These guys are awesome. Met Doc and Bob. Very friendly down to earth guys. The mechanics have multiples of decades of experience. One with like 45 years and the other with 30+. They had a personal emergency and werent able to fix the valve stem on my bike but because it wasnt done when they said they didnt charge me at all. They seem like genuine people who actually care. Not like a chain store where they are trying to lure you into getting a bunch of expensive work done you dont need. I would recommend this place to anyone I know needing to get something done. Its a small shop but thats what makes it great. Just a bunch of honest, hard working, genuine guys who actually have a passion for motorcycles and care about people.
The best Motorcycle shop in Tucson BAR NONE great service and the Team Knows their stuff. They do tires as well. GREAT JOB S&S. YOUR TJE BEST.
Big John is a great person and very helpful. If he doesnt have what you need right there in the store, he gets it in just a few(3) days.Great prices and excellent work.If you ride a motorcycle no matter what it isthis is the place to go.Im very impressed!
Kevin and the guys at S & S are the best, they are an honest shop and have always been friendly and fair with me.I would recommend anyone to take their bike to them.
Repairs took longer than expected due to unknown issues. The staff worked with me I would go back to them for all my work. Great bunch of guys
I went in for a valve stem tightener and the owner told me it was a falty stem and I had to buy a new tube for $79.95. What a douch bag. Dishonest and arragent gets you a hand full of dong pal...
John,Clementine and their crew go above and beyond. Theyve helped me out on numerous occasions. They treat people right. Highly recommended them. Good people!
Do not waste your time with this place and go somewhere else. You will not get the work that you need done, you will wait one week for an estimate another week to deliver the parts and a third week to get the job done if you are lucky. Every time I called I was told that my bike was next in line but was obviously a lie because it was never ready! Also everything was over-priced, I found another shop and they fixed everything on a half price. I never will go back there!
This is the only place to bring you motorcycle for service or repairs. Best prices and service inn town!!!!
Im sorry to see some of the bad reviews. It appears that some peoples expectations are not in line with reality. Its been my experience that the owner is up front and honest and his pricing is way better then the dealership. Not only do they do the work on my Vstar and road king I also have rented a couple of bikes through them when I have visitors from out of town. No hastle no problems and the owner is a nice personable guy.
Love this place. Work on everything and at a fair price. Really cool gear to buy also. Way better than a big box store
Will update this post when i get my bike back but as of now i was very impressed with the honesty helpfulness and service i recieved i have a 2015 custom that sprung a leak mid ride i called Big John ahead and explained my issue he said he could help and how long it would take (Few days before mine was up in line) no B/S and as he was marking down what needed to be looked at he didnt add anything extra. Honest guy as i left my bike there i genuinely felt it was in good hands! Cant wait to get her back!
The new owners just closed there doors. The company never notified customers of there closing. S&S will be closed permanently January 1 2020. So if you have anything at the store you need to pick it up or you will loose it.
Good guys, fair prices and had me out in 10 minutes
Two Scooters five weeks four hundred dollars not one scooter ran for more than five days. But they wished me happy holidays. THANKS
Prices are good and John is very knowledgeable and helpful. Its always a pleasure to stop by
Would never return. Rude, inconsiderate people, who do shotty work. They actually damaged my harley while they had it.
Friendly staff people willing to work.
Out of the blue I stopped in to see if they could bleed the front brakes on my VMax. Not only did they say they could but they did it right there on the spot for me. Had me out of there in a half hour or less. I will be seeing Paul soon to give Max good tune up and a rejet. Thanks for the fast service and fair price!Ozzie
Worst service ever😡 Had a motorcycle rented rode by to make sure it was there and was told come back in the morning and we will have it ready for you, get there and they told us it was cancelled and they let someone else have it. We found out we werent the only one that happened to. They are bad liars. #Dragride2019
5 STARS ALL THE WAY!What a sheer pleasure it was to take my newly finished & restored WWII cafe racer to John at Sand And Street!I ran into a last minute jam that no one else (with plenty of motorcycle build experience) could figure out. S&S came highly recommended. As meticulous as I am, I always am a tad hesitant when visiting (any) shop for the first time. They took away any reservations I may have had upon the first conversation I had with the owner. These folks could not be more honest and helpful!I felt from the get-go that I was in good hands. They kept me apprised of every development as I had a tricky issue with a vintage set of twin carbs that needed syncing. But it wasn’t just the sync causing a larger problem, which they did perfectly, swiftly and wasted no time. They also found why I kept having ongoing issues that would have cost me a lot more money down the road, essentially getting to the root of the problem. And talk about FAIR? And KNOWLEDGEABLE?Their mechanics figured it out immediately. And by doing so, didn’t waste billable hours. Thus saving me a LOT of money!!The rates are extremely fair and they quoted me exactly how many labor hours it would take to remedy the issue.By the way - I cannot understand why anyone would give them less than a 5 star rating. Seems like a lot of trolls out there that do not give a business a chance for whatever reason, and in this case, it was a no brainer. These guys are good. Beyond good. I now trust my bike(s) with them, 110%.I highly recommend Sand And Street to anyone looking for honesty, expertise, fair and fast service. You simply cannot go wrong.Thank you again John, and everyone at S&S for taking such great care of my bike!
I took the Honda 50 motorcycle that was my sons first motorcycle to this shop to repair a gas leak on the carburetor and replace the throttle cable. I told the owner the bike didnt have any gas or oil in it because I had to lay it down to haul it from Wyoming. He made a note on the work order that the bike didnt have any fluids in it. Someone at the shop started the engine and ran it until it was destroyed. They even had the nerve to charge me for two hours to tear the engine down after they ruined it. I paid it so my son could pick the remains up without having to fight over it.
Kool. Great help good service I will go back again
