I literally cannot say enough about the workmanship and the owner of the business, Nils. He has become a great friend and helped me from the beginning of my 78 CB750K engine project, to the classic aluminum bodied Koni 7610s that i had re-built. I send him everything from the cases, carbs, engine covers, shocks, etc. and when I saw the result i couldnt believe my eyes..... Paint this stuff....NEVER! looks better than anything that came out of the factory in the 70s for sure! Service was extremely fast, took me longer to get over the scare of sending my engine across the country in a box than it did for him to clean and shine them up brand new. Provided photos and updates along the way.... Many people have seen these already and cannot believe theyre the same parts......I give him a 150% two thumbs up. My shocks came back vapor blasted and completely re-built with all new seals, oil, etc. I couldnt have envisioned it any better. Will be amazing to re-assemble a perfectly clean JMR Ported 836 tire smoker.... If youre questioning, dont....no one will care for your stuff better!!!Thanks Nils.
Good food and service. Prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere.
In order to get a 5 star rating from. myself the business has to be way above and beyond what you may expect. If you have any needs for vintage motorcycle restoration, vapor blasting or any other needs for your classic bike then look no further, Restocycle is the place. I have a collection of vintage bikes and am very particular about quality. When it comes to using an unknown vendor, its easy to use a shop where your expectations are high but the quality is low. Nils Menton and his Crew are every bit the consummate professionals in this business. As a Professional Airline Pilot I am very detail oriented when it comes to machines and quality work. Not only did Nils take the time on the phone to explain in great detail the type of work they do but what to expect as far as quality and the process to achieve it.Although I did Build most of my Suzuki GT750, (Water Buffalo) Nils and company did a lot of the finish work and more. I simply could not have achieved the results without Restocycles advice and help. You want spotless vapor blasting, authentic 1970s chrome, engine engineering and a host of other services then do yourself a favor and do the right thing and send it to Restocycle. The shipping setup they have is so easy and they send you a UPS label based on the item you are sending to them; So easy. Quality simple lasts. My bikes are not cheap and as such the quality must be exceptional. Dont throw your money away, send it to Restocycle. You wont regret it.
Amazing shop--I was passing through town on a multi-day motocamping excursion when my shifter started to have issues. I was worried that my trip was in danger, but then I found RestoCycle. Nils and crew took such great care of me, getting the problem solved with professionalism and ease. They even double checked my tires and topped off my oil because they knew I had a lot of miles yet to cover. So awesome to find a shop that really cares about their customer and the work that they do. Cant recommend them enough!
RestoCycle is the old time motorcycle service place where the owners take the work seriously but the clients are friends. Straight forward and honest. Always upfront and genuine. The type of shop you hope for. Enthusiats that understand the subtlies where business meets quality Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance is home here. Pirsig would be a customer.
These guys are absolutely fantastic! they vapor blasted a set of carbs for me and they look brand new. Great customer service. I was able to talk directly to them and Nils answered all my questions. The turn around time was extremely quick. Resto cycle exceeded my expectations in every way!thank you guysGarth
Im sad to see them go.
Recently began the process of rebuilding a 1980 Yamaha XS650 into a Cafe Racer. I had the frame and many of the parts powder coated however the engine was dirty and the aluminum had oxidation. I searched the web looking to clean aluminum and found a video on YouTube that linked me to RestoCycle for Vapor Blasting. Over a course of a few weeks I worked with Nils (owner) receiving a quote, shipping him my parts and finally receiving them. When I opened the box and began unpacking the parts I was absolutely SPEECHLESS. They looked like brand new engine parts ! Nils attention to detail, responsiveness to my inquires and most importantly very reasonable pricing has far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend RestoCycle for your cleaning needs. I greatly appreciate all of Nils assistance and support.
Real good motorcycle mechanics! plus they work for our local law enforcement! ;)
Very rude. I would give a negative star if I could.
Brought Nils a couple of nasty rattle- can- covered valve covers for my 62 Corvette. In one day he gave me back beautiful pieces. Nobody does it better. Thanks !!!
Wonderful shop! Excellent, quality work from friendly professionals.
We use Nils and the Restocycle crew for vapor blasting on our restorations and their work is ALWAYS top shelf. Thanks!Moto Talbott Collection
