Took sewing shears in for sharpening and they are worse than before.When I told the gentleman I didnt think they were right, he cut a piece of PAPER with them and said they cut fine. So I guess they dont know that you NEVER cut paper with sewing shears. Took them home and tried to cut fabric, wouldnt even cut.I do NOT recommend Blade Runner for sharpening scissors.

Great shop with a great selection. Extremely knowledgeable staff and great customer service. The sharpening services are excellent as well. They also serviced a Microtech and a Spyderco knife for me and did an outstanding job, the knives feel brand new and are sharper than the day I bought them. Cannot recommend these guys enough.

I have collected knives for years and have not found a better blade store in Tucson than this one. Their selection of knives is broad and they will gladly order items they might not have in stock at the moment. They also offer discounts for vets and LEOs. Eric, the owner, is a great guy and extremely knowledgeable. I have found the level of service Blade Runner provides far exceeds what you will see anywhere else in town. These guys are great! Took in an original Benchmade automatic that I was having nothing but trouble getting fixed. It was given to me by my brother, who passed away, and since I was not in the military I was having issues having anyone help me. Blade Runner packaged it up, sent it out and the knife was fixed and back to me within three weeks. No charge other than shipping. Does Not Get Better Than That! I go there all the time for gifts and such. Love this store!

No pressure sales and a staff that not only know what the hell they are talking about, they seem to have great joy in what they do. I went there today to see if they could sharpen my newly acquired Laguiole Sherpards Knife. I could not for the life of me put an edge on it. I thought it may have had a manufactured steel defect on it. The young man looked at the knife and took it back to his shop and within 5-10 minutes came back and complimented me on it saying it was a high quality steel and that the manufacturer probably didn’t want to put too much of an edge on it.“It was dull right off the bat”Anyhow, he put a “scary sharp” edge on this thing and it made a difference between Day & Night!I forgot to get the young mans name but I will go back for some more servicing. I haven’t been there since Richard owned it. It seems the new owners have carried on the tradition. Thank you young man!

Why did I give him 5 stars? Because I couldnt give him 6. Let me tell you a quick story, I had a Benchmade knife than they needed repaired. I go in the Blade Runners, and after about an hour of the owner trying to fix it for me we both realize I was missing some washers. So he sent it back to Benchmade for me, that was like 4 or 5 months ago.. A month later he gets it back he gives me call tellin me its back. Well I dont live in Tucson. So he held on to it for somewhere around 3 to 4 months until I could make it back to town... That right there was above and beyond the Call of Duty. Top it all off when I showed up to pick up my blade it was like 20 minutes until closing, and he stayed open an extra half hour just to do some shopping for me so that I didnt have to wait another few months to get my blades back... If you have any doubts at all that bladerunners is not the right store for you lose said doubts. You will not find a better place to go guaranteed... The owners of man that enjoys what he does on a daily basis and truly appreciates his customers...

Found exactly what I was looking for at a great price.

I just got my microtech OTF double blade sharpened at blade runners. Im not going to lie, it is sharp but what got me upset was that fact that the 12 year old kid ( exaggeration ) that sharpened it completely took off the tip! They said it was hard to keep a tip on laser cut knives but fails to tell me that before the sharpening. I would have said never mind and took it else where. Of course they really didnt care because it wasnt their knife but I bet everyone in the shop would have been disappointed in the end result.

Recently purchased a few knives online and brought them in for sharpening. I shouldve checked here first, since the owner here wouldve beaten the prices I got on my ESEE knives by a decent margin. He sharpened up my knives and I picked up a sharpener for when I cant make it in. Today I went back and bought a TOPS B.O.B. from him that once again destroyed the online price I was looking at. Almost any knife delivered in three days if he doesnt have it in stock. Dude is cool and knowledgable. Ive never encountered a store that so reliably beats online pricing.Hes in the same plaza as Autozone but around the side.You gotta go in! There are NO other knife shops in Tucson worth visiting. From CASE, Condor and Cold Steel to ESEE, MTech and KA-BAR its all here.
