TeePee Curios is a treasure off of Route 66. A must for an iconic eye candy experience. The outside building is abundant with iconic imagery. It has been 55 years since I passed through. The building is well taken care of and stocked with curios, local native artisan jewelry at a better than fair price and nostalgia. Purchase most of my Christmas gifts there, as it was that good with native artisans work.
Decent prices, better selection than other local stores (Route 66 and New Mexico souvenirs), penny press machine, nice lady working the counter, building and exterior art in great shape. Neato and photogenic Blue Swallow motel is across the street (can easily walk across the street; not too much traffic).
Tucumcari, New Mexico —-An owner/operated Historic Route 66 souvenir store with a cool exterior & interior. Not only a super souvenir shop, but a Historic Route 66 attraction that must be experienced when in Tucumcari.Owners Gar & Lisa are as interesting, as the shop itself! If you are a Historic Route 66 traveler, you MUST experience this vintage Historic Route 66 attraction.“Run-A-Way Bill” was here!... and will return01.27.21
Great place if you are old and remember old route 66. Even has candy from Stuckys. Cheap trinkets and nice jewelry.
Definitely a must stop and shop on Rte 66. Me and my family enjoyed doing some shopping here.
Cozy Cone Motel anyone?! This is must see on Historic Route 66.You can stock up on t-shirts, post-cards, hats, and most importantly beautiful Native America jewelry. As advertised best prices around.Spent a few minutes talking with the gentleman working the counter and he shared stories of when Route 66 was the place to be. He said the streets were so busy you couldn’t cross on foot easily & there was so much activity both day & night in the town.He also shared that the restored Route 66 motels along the strip are booked in the summer months. This well preserved town is a must see!! You won’t be disappointed if your into this type of thing.
Cute store with cute dogs. Great prices on souvenirs.
Always feel the need to stop in when in Tucumcari. Miss the previous owner. Not quite the same.
Great curio shop! Lots of fun items with some made in region. Nice owners.
Great little shop! Lots of interesting finds and great souvenirs and jewelry! A must stop and see!!!
Great selection, prices, n clerk or owner was awesome!
Souvenirs- pretty decent selection, and prices about the same as other shops. Compared to others I met on this trip, workers not the friendliest.
Neat little store with interesting knick knacks
Very interesting little gift shop in the center of town on Historic Route 66. We had so much fun in here and found several unique gifts for family members back home. It was a few miles from our hotel and around the corner from I-40 so it was very easy to get to and from our hotel.Definitely recommend on a next visit, stop in, talk to the owner who is so kind and sweet, and say hi to his fur babies
A great little stop on Rt 66 for souvenirs. Take time to stop by!
This is Route66 at its best. I loved it. Its a destination. They have some great Navajo pottery. My wife got a gorgeous opal ring.
You have to stop in. Its a cool little shop. All kinds of different route 66 stuff
Neat shop. Smashed penny, old pay phone.
Highly recommend! Reasonable prices (much cheaper than other souvenir places) and great owners! Dont miss this stop!

Friendly staff. They have a lot of inventory. Definitely glad we stopped.

Very friendly with a wide variety of items & a penny squisher!
Great little place for souvenirs. From old to modern, it has a lot of unique Route 66 items.
This shop has some beautiful jewelry and many terrific gifts for anyone and everyone. Their prices are reasonable. This shop is both tourist- and local shopper-friendly!
Very nice lady behind the counter

Cool little shop. Standard Route 66 stuff inside. Friendly owner.
Great curios and nice staff.
One of the top 5 neon signs in the country. You have to see it at night! I hope this place lives on forever.
Interesting place. Lots of Route 66 items plus much more. Nice dog.
You gotta stop. The history of this place alone is amazing. Be sure to come by at night when the sign is lit up. Every thing about the Tee Pee Curios is worth seeing. Not only the coolest souvenirs on Route 66 but its almost alike going into a museum. Staff are amazing fun to visit with!
Great souvenir shop!
So much fun! This was a fun and quaint stop on our tour of Route 66. They have a very nice selection of gifts and souvenirs and my children enjoyed looking around the building - inside and out. Definitely a fun stop if you are in the area.
Great stop on Rte 66. You can find a trinket or a treasure.

Best place to stop and look around their stuff is REAL!
Great store . Great items . Great prices. It is a must stop in tucumcari NM.
Great route 66 murals
Open, clean, well stocked, friendly staff.
Great inventory.
We looked forward to visiting this shop unfortunately it left a bad taste in our mouth. The man behind the counter charged me $62 for a couple of rocks and earrings. They only added up to $28. I told my husband after I paid. He went in there and told the owner that he overcharged us. He told us to check our kids pockets! First off, our kids did not steal anything. Second off, he hid his own thievery by accusing our kids. He tried to rip us off thinking we were a couple of dumb tourists. He ended up giving us all our money back and gave us the earrings for a discount.Watch what the end price is and do your own calculation.
Great little gift shop with a few different things to purchase.
The couple that was running the store was very nice. Their prices were very reasonable so glad we were able to stop.
Really nice shop. Lots of great stuff and great prices. Friendly and helpful
Definitely worth a few minutes off the highway. Very retro and nostalgic. Found some items I hadnt seen in other souvenir shops. Owner was very friendly and had the cutest little doggies.
Staff was friendly. Lots to see. Good prices.
When we left the Roadrunners lodge, we immediately went over to the Curios for souvenirs. This is seriously the best priced souvenir shop Ive seen. The staff were very polite and we chatted a bit about my Husbands and Is Native heritage. I was impressed with the authenticity of Native American art and the kids loved the little trinkets they got. I hope they are in business forever. This curios is a Rt 66 icon and we love it!
Fun Route 66 stop
Awesome customer service, very friendly manager at the counter. They let me bring my puppy inside and they had their own very friendly dog eager to sniff and lick you. Merchandise was very reasonably priced. Not the greatest bathroom stop though but had some cool memorabilia.
