True Story! My Kia Optima hybrid died completely no power what so ever! I had it towed to Visalia Kia to be told their is 1 month wait to get my car back! Who is supposed to be okay without having their car for a whole month! So I was completely devastated. I felt helpless after contacting multiple shops none of them said they worked on hybrids. I called Tulare Automotive and spoke with Brent. Had my car towed on Thursday to their shop and fixed by Friday and they charged me way less than the dealership has in the past! I will be taking my car their moving forward for any repairs. They are my heros!

I was told by a Visalia transmission shop that my clutch needed to be replaced, but they couldnt get to it until next week. I called two other shops (in Tulare) who told me they were booked until next week, as well. I saw Tulare Automotive Repair had 4.8 star rating, so I thought I would call them as I have previously used them for smog checks. They told me I could bring my vehicle in right away, which was around 11:30am. While I waited, he took my vehicle on test drive, invited me to go with him to assure he was hearing the same problem I was trying to explain, and gave me an estimate for the repairs. The problem turned out to be the fan clutch. He ordered the part, installed it, and did a smog check, and my vehicle was ready by 4:30pm the same day.Tulare Automotive Repair is not like one of those shops that I like to refer to as white shirts - the ones where you walk in the front door and someone in a white shirt (with no grease on it or on their hands) greets you. Tulare Automotive Repair was knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and had the repairs completed the same day as promised. They have earned a repeat customer when I need repair work in the future.

If you own a 1999 Honda Civic and need a oil change also maybe an O2 sensor by all means bring you car to this shop. If you have any make or model European vehicle stay far away from this shop! My total experience of this shop was unfortunately horrible. My car was there for about two weeks after I got a call from Brent that my car was ready but it still wasn’t fixed and they demanded $936.56 to be exactly. My mind a little bogged being told to pick up my car that isn’t fixed and also pay us. Really made no sense. After a couple of days Alfonzo the owner called me to bargain “a deal” of $786.89 which at this point I found this situation to be very odd. I asked Alfonzo a hand full of times what was the issue with the vehicle and why I was being billed for a vehicle that still wasn’t repaired. His only answer was that he needed a payment. Again after a couple days Alfonzo calls me and tells me he has a “special offer” for me. He offers me $524.53. I really felt at this point I had no other choice but to pay to get my vehicle back in any condition that is was in. After 15-20 miles from picking the car up from Alfonzo Every warning light on the dash came on and the air suspension lowered the car to the floor which made it impossible to steer and control. I call Brent back and told him exactly what happen he told me he would call me back as soon as he’s available. Never got a return call back. After wasting over a month of time and money the vehicle was taken to a different shop. The new shop even had to remove the Chinese parts that Alfonzo and his team installed and replace them with the correct OEM parts.

I was referred to Tulare Automotive and I was not disappointed. Professional, informative and completed the work in acceptable time frame. Thank you very much.

Location was recommended while getting an oil change for smog services. They were almost as quick as the 15 minute oil change and were extremely professional and curtous. Would definitely recommend them if youre looking for smog services and possibly more.

They held up what they said they would do even going a little bit extra with potential future repairs that may need to be done. I was visiting my mother who lives down the street and saw the sign. I always see cars being serviced here but never really paid attention thinking they only did breaks and muffler services. I called and was thrilled they have oil change service. I was a walk in and told it would be a while but I wasn’t in a rush. Mr Brent helped me upon my 12pmish arrival but I didn’t catch the names of the gentleman who helped me about 4pm and one of the other mechanics. We walked in a a gentleman was on the phone so we had to wait for him to acknowledge us and others when he was ready and after about 5 min or so, then the mechanic assisted me with my payment and gave me some helpful info. Then the gentleman was off the phone and he was friendly and re explained some things but otherwise told me that my vehicle was in good condition. Thankfully, I my mom lives near and we could see that my car was sitting outside in a different area so I knew it was done, but nobody called me, so we walked over. I usually get my synthetic oil change in San Diego from Ford because I have a coupon for $49 so with all the fees it’s about $65, but since I been visiting the past month here I fished out about $89 and can’t really complain because I got what I needed and had a good experience. Just wished they rotate the for that price.I feel as if the staffs are honest, professional and helpful. Told my sister to bring her cars here along with my mom.Also gave them 5 stars on Yelp and had to put them on the map. On Yelp they are still an unclaimed business.To all the staffs, thank you for all that you do and continue to be safe. God bless.

Great service, friendly, good prices, and on time. We came in with faulty brakes on a late Saturday morning (with them closing at 12:30 pm that day I believe), and they gladly took the car in to fix even if it went past their regularly closed time. Since we were visiting from out of town, they offered to pick us up from our hotel once the car was done so we wouldnt have to walk in the summer heat. Definitely recommend their services!

I met a Brent when I got there he seemed very passive aggressive and pushy. he kept telling me that their will be more costly repairs to my vehicle if it was to be taken in. after waiting almost 45min outside for my car to get serviced the owner comes out and tells me theyre not going be able to take care of my car. I had no clue what happen but at the least VERY unprofessional. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

Tulare Automotive Honored my CarMax Care Membership. You see I purchased my vehicle in Los Angeles where there is a CarMax in every city. But the nearest one to Tulare is Bakersfield or Fresno. So instead of waiting hours in a city 1 hour away from Tulare, Tulare Automotive Repair Honored- my membership and took care of my vehicle and drop me off till job was completed then picked me up there after. I got a smog check here and I highly recommend this place. Technicians were polite and quick. I have an older car so they had to do the tailpipe portion of the test and it still only took them 20 minutes.

I had a wonderful experience in this shop I brought my 2013 Ford Taurus to get my converter catalytic converter Fixed and they did a good job and my car has been running good ever since 👍💯 and they had good customer service

I wouldnt recommend this place for a smog check we took our car in and the guy charged us first and then stated that the car didnt pass but he wasnt sure what codes were wrong because someone had deleted them but no one else had touched our car but him then he told us to wait 2 days to see if the codes would reappear and then take it back. We took our car somewhere else and it pass the smog without a problem.

What can I say? Alphonso and Brent did another outstanding job fixing my 08 Toyota FJ Cruiser! A few months ago it was the water pump (probably the original one) that needed replacing. This time it was the head gasket which, on this car, was a LONG process. Very labor intensive that requires more than a few days to correct. 300 miles driven since the repair and will get taken back in for a fresh oil change at 500 miles. If you want quality repairs and competitive labor rates from certified technicians, go see these guy!

I have a 2001 saturn sc2 i love my little car... I took my car here because it wouldnt pass smog because of an secondary air flow issue and catalyst problem... These guys were nice took time to talk and made me feel comfortable leaving my car. They had my car for two days because a part i needed was dealer only. He saved me a 1000 💵 because my catalyst was still good and it was one part in the secondary that was bad. They even noticed that my motor mounts were bad and recommended that i fixed them so the shaking wouldnt cause anymore problems. When i got my car back i kid u not it runs so smooth like a brand new car all over again and it passed smog. The prices where great and affordable. From now one this is were im going.

I was driving from LA to Stockton this past Friday (Dec. 8th) when part of my exhaust snapped where it connects near the engine. I rolled in about 4:30, just a half hour before the shop closed expecting only to figure out what the problem was. However the two employees were adamant they could get me back on the road. They explained my problem to me clearly (me not having any mechanical know-how), and got me out within half an hour. The service was amazing, staff was friendly, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Horrible customer service.!! Ive been there 4 test in 2 years and never got asked can I help you or anything. I had to speak and Everytime I went the guy would say Im not working Im on lunch. 3:00pm 10:00am and other different times. Bad attitude. If you dont like dealing with people dont do that kind of work
