I found my son football cleats that were already on sale for a GREAT price. Then at check out they are reduced even more. I love being pleasantly surprised at the register and it has happened more than once here.

Horrible! Online curbside pickup order wasnt fulfilled and payment has yet to be reimbursed. Customer service was chatting among themselves and never acknowledged my presence until I spoke to them. No apology for not bringing my order out or for it not being completely fulfilled. Its was not a win win situation not will I shop at this location again.

I shop at this store A LOT considering I have a son that plays travel ball. I normally have no complaints but this last time in particular we had brought in some things purchased for my husband for fathers day by our kiddos and needed to exchange a few thibgs that didnt fit or was wring size. We brought the items inside the store in the gift bag they were given to my husband in that clearly said Happy Fathers Day and it was a very large bag! When my husband got up there the cashier did the exchange but instead of telling my husband there was still $10 that hadnt been spent and what would we like him to do either get something else that was $10 or put the money back on the card, he did so without asking. That should have been asked what we wanted to do with it being it was a gift and he clearly could see it was a gift. He was very rude about it when my husband said he would run and grab something that was $10 he then told my husband its to late!! I already put it back on the card (which was our daughters card bc she bad been the one to purchase the items). My husband got frustrated because the young man was so rude about it. Next time you could say now there is $10 difference you havent spent what would you like me to do? I can wait and let you grab something else in that amount or I can put it back on the card it is YOUR choice as the customer not the cashiers choice because they just want to hurry and get you done! I dont know the cashiers name but im sure my children could tell me exactly who it was considering he was very rude to them and to my husband and told them to get out of the store!

This entire outdoor store front was TRASHED with littered trash can material but the trash cans were overloaded and it looked like everyone just threw their stuff on the ground after that. Went inside and everyone looked like they hated their jobs and nothing was neat unless it was on hangers in the middle of the store. Everything else was fine.

Walked in yesterday, not one greeting. Just about every staff member we came across said nothing. One guy walking to the stockroom said good morning, but that was about it. Very poor customer service.

I went to this store to pick up a gift card for Christmas. When I walked in the door there was gift cards right next to the customer service area. I took my card to the customer service register and one employee was standing at the register and another was standing in front of the counter talking to her. They asked if I needed anything and I said that I just wanted to purchase a gift card. They told me I had to take the gift card to the other registers to buy the card. I went to the other registers and there were 4 lines of people backed up to over halfway through the store. It wold have taken 30-40 minutes to purchase the card. I took the card back to the 2 store employees and said “here is your customer service “ and walked out the door. I guess they didn’t need my $300. As I was leaving the store employee said in a smart a## voice “Have a good day”.

The men’s bathroom right after opening a 9am was a total disaster. Evidently had not been cleaned from the day before. Totally unacceptable.

Need more sales people checking customers out. Only 1 cashier at 12:15. So sad.

This was by far the worst visit I had at this place. Normally the food is good and the service is good. Today 1-24-21 was a terrible experience. Our waitress asked if she already took our order? Then we didnt get any silverware. Then when the silverware was brought to us she just laid it on the table. That wouldnt normally bother me, but she couldve atleast wrapped it up like normal, that was not the case. Simply just laid it down and said sorry. Then we had no napkins. My coffee was full of coffee grounds. For the cost of the food it would be expected to atleast have top notch service, nope not this time. For $60 we couldve eaten anywhere else in the area and had better service.

This location didnt have much supply available. Certain areas were basically torn apart- ie baseball- gloves were everywhere and those that were on the rack were in the wrong spot so it was nearly impossible to figure out the price without scanning because none of them had actual price tags on them. We got frustrated and left.

Mens boots in size 11 were incorrectly located on another aisle . No customer service assistance offered to locate the size 11 boot needed. Customer then located said boot on opposite aisle themselves. Common mistake due to boot models being identical except for steel toe feature of boots.

Very nice selection of shoes. The employees seemed to group up and avoid customers. I had one nice lady to help me and give some information on wide shoes. She had blonde dreads but I cant remember her name. I asked several others for help but I seemed to just be a bother to them. Several employees were in groups of two or three and just walked around store. Really disappointed because I use to love coming in this store. Hopefully they can get it together soon.

Your bank account will tremble at the mere sight of this ferocious store! Everything a man could ever need! If this store doesn’t have what you want then you are more than likely a liberal! Would recommend to anyone with a pulse and I bleed the colors of Academy Proud and True!

Tried the curbside pickup and followed all the prompts, and STILL had to call to let them know we had checked in online and have been sitting in the parking stall waiting. They had no clue!

All of the cashiers and key holders that were there no one act like they knew what their job was they were very unprofessional no ones on the floor to help you with items no one asked you do you need help.

Quicker to go on in and get a curbside pickup is a lot of the downside to it

Poor customer service at the firearms desk. Only 1 out of 3 people working the desk wanted to be there and serve customers. These 2 individuals spent more time lollygagging and socializing than working. They are not safe are adequately trained to be handling firearms.

This is an extremely interesting place just to go look around in, and if you buy, their prices aren’t bad either. They must have a bit of half of everything! I got my work boots from them, and am quite happy with them after nearly a year of constant and heavy use. Clothing, sporting goods of many kinds, flashlights, knives, ammo, footwear, they have a LOT!

I called up there at the tupelo location a young lady answer the phone and she told me she couldnt give me the information on ammo that online said they had in stock.. I live over 1 in a half hours away.. she was very rude then I spoke to the manager he was also very very rude.. such a horrible experience I would not recommend this location to anyone

Was picked over,did not have any firearms or accessories,no ammo,not even a single skeet .did not have many things we wanted.the clerk told us that they only had guns in the tupelo and columbus locations,we were at the tupelo store,duh!

I need to get some ammunition in that place other than that is pretty good

I went in to buy a hunting rifle the was not busy I stood there at the counter for 15 mins while the salesmen stood there having a jokingly conversation there attitude towards me was like we dont care if you buy something or not just the way they talked too me after looking over me standing there I walked out because of the way he greeted me I have purchased a lot of store merchandise over the years and had no complaint but since this racial reform I hate even going to the store thx President Trump for destroying a good business fro a hunter and fisherman to another due to racial tolerance they just lost a customer and by the way I to am black man

I shopped the tupelo MS store and purchased a 12x12 canopy. Used it on time at park. Rain came for approximately 20 minutes. The scissor frame works collapsed while we were under it. I can understand a weak link. Problem is-- Im in Ft. Meyers, FlaIve called. And called and called. Waited for over 10 minutes each call. Still never got an answer of the phone. Ive spent a good amount of money at this store and probably not shop here anymore. Dicks sporting goods is just across the street. I will take a loss on this purchase, BUT NEVER AGAIN. Tom Osborne

Its very clean, and the employees are helpful. I wouldve given it 5 stars, but they often dont carry seasonal items such as certain size grill covers that fit grills they sell in-store. Instead of stocking any, they will tell you to look online when the reason why you went to the store was to purchase something and not have to wait on shipping. The service and people are great, when they stop suggesting that I shop online while Im trying to shop in the store, I will give them a 5-star rating.

Academy sports is a great place for any sporting need you have... Unless you need batteries for any of the laser gun sights they sell, then youre out of luck. Hence the 4 out 5 stars
