I needed a birthday cake and this place designs them to order. The baker lady was very helpful and went beyond minimum standards to make sure my cake was perfect for the next day. The store is humongous. The shopping carts are the same..lol. If you to rent a carpet cleaner, rent a redbox movie or turn change into dollar bills, this is a great one stop shop.

Went to the one in Turlock, by 99, it is real nice. A lot of light, one thing I didnt like one thing and I wonder who come-up with this idea? The cashier is facing the product, the computer etc. But the people walk behind them as they get their things pay and then walk behind the teller. Please someone explain this crazy idea of endangering the tellers? I would never would work like that. People walk in front of you not behind

I have shopped FOOD MAXX for years in Modesto, and last 10 years in Turlock. My experiences as of late is like shopping at a third rate market. I am handicapped and utilize the electric carts to shop. The store did have 3 that were hand me downs, then two, today one. Battery life showed one bar middle of shopping had to get to cashier to check out before stalled. (this has happened in past, needed to switch items to cart, check out and leave) finish grocery at more efficient store. There is not one other grocery store in Turlock that does not offer to help handicap to car. I have had customers ask if I needed help, but not employees. They NEED AMPLE UP-DATED EQUIPMENT, they need to be competitive in products, service and equipment.

Generally nice and clean store. I went on a friday and some of the things were picked clean but over all theres a great variety. Plus they had fresh peaches and the smell alone was so yummy!

I like Food Max very much. Prices are very reasonable! Came home this evening and made a nice dinner. Rave reviews!!!!I will be shopping there from now on!

The produce is good quality. They have good deals weekly. The customer service is really polite. The register lines are pretty long but go decent pace.

Used to like this place but after the experience I just had,I dont think Ill ever go back! Had this cashier accuse my boyfriend of having fake money. He said he knew it was fake from its feel. Mind u we just got this bill from the bank earlier today. He refused to hold it up to the light or use a pin. The whole experience has left us extremely embarrassed.

It was the absolute slowest moving checkouts Ive ever seen,stood in,if it hadnt been for the fact of this was the third store I had been to looking for my cats favorite foods & finally fmax had some anyways my cat should know how very much I love her,I would not have waited if it were the last food on earth ok maybe for that too but seriously 22min from 1st getting in line to cashout

I like FoodMaxx, they are a good option when you have a lot of shopping to do. Also their bakery has very good 1/4, 1/2, and full sheet birthday cakes at unbeatable prices. If you order ahead of time, the choices of themes for your cake is almost endless. Every character you can think of or common holiday or party theme. Many flavor combos of cake, filling, and icing to choose from also. Even if not ordered ahead, you can still have them write whatever you want on the cake during normal bakery hours. And they are delicious. Lots of other bakery goodies to choose from. Fresh produce with great prices. Meat counter lacks in my opinion, I buy meat elsewhere but everything else is good. No seafood to really speak of either. Best cereal and soda prices in town. Not much on seasonal items, like valentines or Easter candy, but thats ok too. Friendly staff and decently clean with wide roomy aisles and lots of parking. Located right off the freeway. All in all a great store.How could I leave out the awesome fact that they are open 24 hours a day! That alone makes them stand out from other stores. In the wee hours, employees are busy stocking and the aisles get a little crazy with product but thats understandable. So rock on Food Maxx, Turlock loves you.

Best place to go for fresh produce! But the carts for the handicapped definitely definitely need some help theyre filthy dirty and coming apart! My wife was driving one around the store during shopping with me and the whole plastic bottom came apart while she was driving! very dangerous! When we ask for help the guy just took her drive on cart and told her there was nothing else they could do for her so we just left the store

This store has all of the normal stuff youd want and need. Staff is friendly. Fresh produce and meats. They even carry local dairy products.

More crowded and less organized than the one on Briggsmore in Modesto. Prices are good, but the selection isnt always great.

This is a decent place to shop with the reasonable prices and cleanliness. My only problem is that I constantly have to check dates to make sure it’s not going to spoil the week of and if produce is fresh because sometimes they aren’t. Otherwise I like shopping here.

The always consistent FoodMaxx for the lowest prices in the biggest portions without having to become a Costconian. There are never enough cashiers open and you bag your own groceries but for the pricees, it is worth it.

They are open 24 hours!! They have an expanse of amazing selection and varieties of food stuff. Some of their prices and values well out perform other area stores. Shout out to my favorite cashier Carolina. She always helps to make shopping there one of my favorite destinations.

Now under new managerI am quite happy to say much improved! Produce getting better. The meat, sandwich meat and cheese greatly improved. I was very happy with my visit. 😀Very disappointed in their produce. Theres not much I purchase there anymore I tend to go to another store if I can.

Conveniently located off the highway, they are always stocked up and its never too busy when I stop by here

Its not as big as you would think. On the bright side they do take Credit cards unlike other stores like Costco or food 4 less. Their prices seem to be a lot like food 4 less youll see things cheaper here or cheaper there.

Its a ok store . Theres lots of products way may than just food. Good alcohol selection and good household cleaners. But if your looking to save unless its on sale its pricey. Also not very clean or organized.

Store is much easier to shop in since they removed the end barriers that forced you to go clear to the back of the store. They are still too slow at adding cashiers when the lines are long.

FoodMaxx is the only major grocery store that matches prices of anybody elses. They will match anybody sell price. If you shop at Save Mart you can shop at FoodMaxx for a lot less. A lot of people dont know that Save Mart owns Food Maxx. So youre getting the same product for much cheaper. They have several food max. One in Modesto and Turlock.

Huge clean grocery store. You must bag your own groceries in your own shopping bags. All of California grocery stores makeyou bring your own shopping bags now or purchase the store plastic bags for $.10 each. Great variety of ethnic foods
