We got here very excited as we were first timers but experience was terrible. Understandably it was a new hire, but if its a new hire with a bigger party the supervising person shouldnt be off to the side not even being able to access the food to help. She didnt know where anything was. Didnt offer any flavors to try, or suggestions as to what to get. It took her 10 minutes to make a smoothie that ended up only filling half the serving cup and she didnt even bother wearing gloves or a mask as she cut the fruit. Ice cream itself was good, but the excitement we had to try this place was quickly forgotten.

The banana caramel shake was the worst shake I’ve ever had in my life. The texture was incredibly off, it felt like it was chewed up. Save yourself the money and go anywhere else.

If you are visiting the Irvine area and decide to venture to the District. Stop through this hidden gem and treat yourself to a healthy cheat. It tastes like frozen yogurt and ice cream had a baby. As you can see they were damn there closed and still held it open to the last minute. Didnt have all the flavors available but was happy I got to experience it during our stay. Gluten Free option is Nutella Ice Cream $8 for two scoops of heaven with a $5 tip and 5 stars. Will be back this summer.

Ice cream is fresh and is kept churned which is pretty cool. You can choose 2 flavors for a single scoop (which is weird) and 4 flavors for a double scoop. You can choose mamy different options including having a donut or brownie on the bottom. They have many toppings you can choose from. The strawberry topping was not frozen and was fresh. I would recommend.

I had a bad experience here last week, and I called the store to see if they would partially refund me, but the manager hasn’t called me back, so I’m writing this review. We ordered three milkshakes and two slices of different cakes to go. Once we were home, we discovered that one of the milkshakes had large shards of plastic in it (yikes!). My daughter immediately stopped drinking it. The two slices of cake (tiramisu and chocolate cream) were possibly a few weeks to a month old...? They were completely dried out and tasted like paper with a dry yet gluey texture. Beware the cakes! We took one bite and also threw these out. So, three of five items from this place were completely inedible. Just some other observations - the store was pretty dirty with dust everywhere and faded, dried out toppings preserved in jars as decorations. Strongly recommend against treating yourself to any “treats” from here.

They had a great 5 Star offer for BOGO so we tried it for the first time. Flavors are good and the ice cream is creamy. The staff was very nice.

I love the casual yet creative vibe and atmosphere of this place. You can walk around with ice cream, sit like a cafe, or order a snack like a meal.

The work station was very disorganized and frankly, looked unsanitary. The staff was “on break” for 50 minutes so we ended up going to Flip Pan next door. When the staff lady came back she said they were out of boba for the day, which was the only thing that I came for. Very disappointed.

Fresh creamy churned ice cream

Stopped by Churned creamery after lunch.. can never go wrong with this place!A lot of different and unique flavored. This time we got mint chocolate chip and mango. I have tried many other ones and theyre all pretty good.Theres usually always a line but it goes by fast, so dont be discouraged.

Their to-go ice cream comes in Mason Jars! My favorite is the Pineapple! I would recommend this place over Cold Stone.

Alot of toppings and flavors

I was excited to go there with my son, saw lots of good reviews and we love ice cream. The main item they offer (cro-cream) was not available. Then I asked for churros. Not available either. We went for just ice cream and toppings on a waffle bowl. All flavors tasted the same to me and the peanut topping was old, almost rancid. I threw it all away after a couple of spoons.My son thought it was ok. Very underwhelmed about the experience. The attendant was very nice and polite though.

I actually wasnt expecting too much when I first saw this place on Yelp. The pictures didnt look too appealing to me and I thought that it was just gonna be another okay, aesthetic ice cream place. I was so wrong. When I went in, there are machines for each individual ice cream flavor constantly churning the ice cream. I ordered it in a croissant which is what I think is their signature style. Definitely eat this with a friend because it is filling. The ice cream was rich and creamy, and the croissant was perfectly, slightly sweet. The service is good. They constantly insisted that we sample more of their flavors since it was our first time. You also get three free topping for the croissant option. It is located in a little food plaza that is aesthetically built so you dont have to come here just for ice cream. I really recommend stopping by because I can see myself coming back.

Terrible customer service. Told her co-worker to hang on so that she can help this guy. When asked if they offer samples, she nodded as if it was an inconvenience. When asked for a single scoop of vanilla, she said that it wasnt ready. I just left.

This is some of the best ice cream Ive ever had. 😍 It was SO good and its on top of a churro so whats not to love?! I absolutely give Churned Creamery 5 stars!The ice cream is a bit pricey but its delicious! Its worth trying at least once. 😊

I have been mourning the loss of Stricklands and their amazing taro ice cream all year, but at last I have found a suitable replacement. And its available every day! My only complaint is that I wish they had a smaller size available. The small is pretty big.

Set inside a little market area, this place serves a variety of flavors in scoop, cone, or croissant. The staff is nice and answers your questions and you can sample whatever.I tried and got the espresso bean ice cream. It’s a well rounded scoop, not the cheapest item, but just ok. The ice cream itself is thick, light, fluffy, creamy. It’s easy to spoon and eat. Regarding flavor, it has it, but not super flavorful, when i ate it I just thought of the density and airy nature of it.But not bad for a small dessert.

You really cant miss with their variety of flavors. I highly recommend the Nutella and Salted Butter Caramel flavors. If youre feeling fancy, throw that in a buttermilk waffle cone or on top of their signature Churro Donut.

Churned is located in this cool urban marketplace within the District shopping center. The ice cream has almost a light fluffy whipped consistency to it. Ive only tried the sorbets and they are absolutely delicious. I always get either the strawberry or mango.

Little bit different take on ice cream, much more smooth. Amazing. Also special thanks to the girls working tonight, they were super friendly and didnt make us feel rushed to leave despite coming in kind of close to closing time.

I have eaten at Churned several times. The first time I loved it and was impressed by their flavor offering. The ice cream was a little too soft for my liking but the flavors made up for it, as did the fun staff.The second time I ate there the staff was still fun but I found out that they dont have lids for their cups. I had planned on purchasing another cup of ice cream once I had finished the one in hand so that I can share it with my coworker. Sadly, no lids, so I had to eat it myself. Disappointing yet delightful at the same time.This last time I ate there, after talking it up to everyone, the flavors I wanted to share with my husband and friends were gone, the girl behind the counter was not friendly and seemed annoyed that I was interrupting the conversation she was having with her friend. When I asked her some questions, she scoffed and truly did not seem to care to know the answers. They still dont have lids and the friend was hovering and making faces with the rep behind the counter, which made me feel as if I was intruding, so I ordered as quickly as I could and left.I strongly believe that good customer service brings people back to a place, even if the food is mediocre. I would have been okay with the lack of lids and the overly soft ice cream had this place been more receptive. This recent visit had machines with no ice cream, flavors that were gone, a staff that was not very welcoming. If I am going to spend my money on something indulgent, I would rather go to Yogurtland or Afters, or Creamistry.
