Kim was highly recommended and she did not disappoint. I made an evening gown and a bolero to complement an existing dress, for my daughter’s wedding. Kim is warm and friendly and is willing to listen to and accommodate your preferences. Although she has a keen sense of style n design, she does not insist on her personal inclinations unless she strongly feels that the outfit will be compromised . She has an experienced team of seamstresses, especially her lead seamstress, Bee Hwa, who is excellent and attends to you personally at every session . Kim chose the perfect colour and style for my bolero and integrated it beautifully into my existing dress. The evening gown was equally well done . With her skills and sharp attention to details, Kim was able to get all aspects of both my outfits perfect in just 2 fittings . Needless to say, I received rave compliments on the day of my daughter’s wedding 😊.I certainly would not hesitate to recommend Kim .

As an expat I had always dreamt of getting my dress back in the UK with my family, but with no travel I had to look in Singapore . I was struggling to find somewhere that had the style I wanted and that had anything in my size that I could try on (UK 10/12) and so decided to get one made. It was by chance I came across Kim and have been impressed from the very start. I also really liked the fact the dress was going to be made in that room, as lots of other designers I had met were going to ship the dress off to Indonesia or Hong Kong to get it made in a factory there. She really knows how to create a dress to fit an individual and was helpful with suggestions whilst still allowing me to create the dress I wanted. It was great seeing the dress come alive with each fitting, and Kim was really flexible when I wanted to change the neck line halfway through the process. I was a little worried starting the process but very happy with the final dress, it fits perfectly and I can’t wait to wear a piece of Singapore at my wedding in the UK in July.

Divine couture is the best place when it comes to finding my ideal gown for our wedding. I bought my gown from the sale and even though it was a sale gown, the detailing on the gown was amazing. Each handmade gown was absolutely spectacular and you will definitely find what you need there.I rented 2 off-the-rack gowns for my wedding but all my guests thought that they were custom-made. Not only because they fit me so well, but also because I was comfortable in them even though it was form fitting. I could walk, eat and mingle without being uncomfortable. The fabric was gentle against my skin and none of the detail work got in my way. Kim was an exceptional woman to work with for my bespoke cheongsam. Her passion for her work and keen eye for detail were both strongly exhibited from initial design to final product, and even right down to dress fittings. She listens to your likes and dislikes, and responds by creating a piece that truly speaks to you. I eventually donned what was a modern twist to the traditional red cheongsam that was form fitting on me yet so easy to walk in - magical!My white gown was an OTR piece, one of Kim’s many ethereal creations in her studio. I fell in love with her detailed workmanship - each placement of the beads, sequins and laces was purposeful and came together to form a sophisticated piece of artwork. Layers of mesh were used to create the pouffy A-line skirt, which meant the gown was lightweight and natural looking.Kim truly takes pride in all her creations, which I must add are a reflection of current bridal trends. Super happy that I was dressed by Kim for my wedding!

Kim is a very passionate and talented local designer with a keen eye to detail and quality. I knew Divine Couture was the place where I would end up getting my gown the moment I stepped in! I loved the ambience of her place and every single one of her pieces: The colors (Esp champagne gowns), the lace details, the materials.We also hit it off immediately and she is amazingly easy to work with! She was very attentive and helpful and selected gowns for me based on what I specified. I can be rather demanding as a customer and I was so impressed that out of all the gowns she picked out, I liked them all and had nothing bad to say abt any of them! It was definitely a tough decision to choose.Moreover, another major plus point is that she also has an in-house seamstress. Again, I can be quite particular abt the fitting of my clothes and it usually takes 2-3 alterations with my own tailor before I get the perfect fit! However, with Kim’s seamstress, we got the perfect fit in 1 alteration within the day itself!!I am so happy with my gown and the whole experience. I hardly say this but it was perfect, in terms of design and fit and I couldn’t ask for more! All of my friends also complimented and asked where I got my gown from, so Divine Couture must be doing something right!

I was recommended by friends to check out Divine for my wedding dress, but I was hesitant initially as Id always had the impression that Divine was over-the-top expensive, but I was so wrong! The gowns are actually so reasonably priced, while the designs and materials are top-notch! I was also pleasantly surprised that Divines styles are very very current, even though I heard that theyve been around for a while! And Kim, she REALLY gets it. Just wanted to share a heads up for brides least any of you have to go through such a bad treatment.The designer(I think) was so reluctant to let me try on their gowns and even after asking about their cheongsam 3 times, they still refused to show me any or let me try it on by giving a few different excuses such as “you should focus on your main gown” “our cheongsam won’t fit your hip size”After trying on 3 gowns that they reluctantly brought out, they literally didn’t say anything else or tried to show me more items and just said they didn’t have anything for me. She eventually left me to her associate and went back to her office.Despite being a highly featured brand on Singapore Brides, I think it’s really undeserving of the 18 recommendations on their Facebook page. Who knows, perhaps only size 6 brides will receive respect here. 😂

Some people say Kim (the owner/ designer) is rude but I personally didnt think so. I felt she was very proud of her beautiful creations as every artist is. I love it when designers are talented and passionate about their craft. Id be offended and rude if brides came in bargaining right from the start (imagine if you did the same to a tuition teacher). Anyway, I loved the gowns - the attention to detail is great and the quality is without question. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I personally enjoyed the gown designing discussions with Kim, which materializes as a bespoke masterpiece exceeding expectations. The intricate handwork by her team, the personalized fittings and subtle add-ons to further flatter the piece is truly a work of wonder!
