Marina grocery store was a good experience. They have simalar products as 99 Ranch, but with a few items that you cant find at 99 Ranch.

First of all the service is not good. Some of the fruits are damaged.The food section is good. It has ample parking. I usually buy the jack fruit. To cut the whole jackfruit into pieces it take nearly 15 min. Its bery easy to find from the local traffic.it has a lot of live fish and crab . The shrimp 🍤 has lot variety. If you take the whole fish if you need they can fry it for you. The meat 🥩 section looks need. The fruit 🍉 also has lot of varity. The guy who maintains the fruit and vegetables needs more care.

Everything and anything you need for Asian cuisine. They have monster carrots that are delicious and sold individually. I always buy filet mignon here for my stew. Great place and good prices.

Stopped on a whim to check this store out and, wow! So many intriguing items; live fish, atypical fresh animal parts (tongues, blood, hearts, deboned feet, tendons, stock bones and so forth) as well as items not easily found; roe, Thailand duck eggs, alligator, baby octopus, squab, black chicken and more.An aisle full of noodles, sauces and so, so much more. I highly recommend stopping by just to peruse at the very least. I took plenty of painting reference pics as there were some unique fish in ice.

Such a great store to purchase fish. Large selection of meats too. Prices are good. Long lines at checkout but the way they have the check stands set up the lines moved quickly.

The cashier was in bad attitude and reluctant to answer my question.I went the Union City store and received by SHOO FAR at 2.43pm June 25 (printed on my receipt) . While checking out, I asked where can I find one particular item and she responded something in a very low volume which I couldnt understand a single word. Then I asked again, she replied some words which doesnt means anything to me. Then I was trying to let her repeat, then she kept silence and simply ignored me.....I visited the store frequently and generally its fine, but this time I was so surprised and felt a little bit upset . Not because I couldnt get what I am looking for, also it basically puts me in bad mood and ruins my day.Please treat well your customers.

Marina Foods has great value and diversity of products. The seafood and meat products are fantastic.

A nice Asian food market. Many different variety of stuff there from fruits and vegetables to seafood. Many types of seasons, chilly and other sauce. Parking can be full during the weekends but during the week its not too bad.

One of the older and smaller Marina markets. No where as clean as most of the other Marina markets in the area. Produce and meat is still good. Good selection of fresh fish. Deep frying service is available for the fish. No charge. Friendly staff. Reasonable parking in a large Asian centric shopping center.

For over 8 years, Marina was my to go places to get fresh groceries and yummy roasted duck and pork. But since last 2 years, the quality of the produce and overall cleanliness of the store are steadily declining. Ive been avoiding it for awhile now, but this morning I was running errands and was nearby so decided to get my grocery there. Wow, the produce isle was at new low. A lot of veggies and meat looked so old and unappetizing that I went to Ranch 99 instead.

I have always been coming here as it just just blocks away, and they do get crazy busy at times.This review is for the cashier whose name I didnt get but felt really bad what she did. When I walked to the register which was empty but not closed she said it is closed so I went to the other register for checkout. However she took another asian customer. Then she told the other customer who was not Asian standing behind the customer she was helping that she is closed but again helped out the other asian customer behind the customer she turned down.I dont mind being turned down as there were other empty registers. But her behaviour did alarm me.

This place has EVERYTHING. They have tbings that i dont even know what it is. They have the FRESHEST meats and seafood in the area and even live fish and lobster and crab tanks. The produce department is vast and has every banana known to man kind. The staff are courteous and helpful. This place is worth a visit even if you dont need anything. Its fun just to look at the unique foods. Connected to the store is an authentic Chinese restaurant. The food is displayed and you pick what you like. If you spend over a certain amount in the store they give you coupons for 2-3 dollars off a meal at the restaurant . its reasonable to begin with and extremely high quality. Also the store jas liquor including Asian spirits and high end wines. One of my favorite stores.

You can find a great variety of Asian groceries and produce for less than 99 Ranch. Theres a cooked food section thats ok, with nice staff. Could use a little more cleaning.

They had a good selection of crab and lobster there. The lobsters were a little small but plentiful. I bought crab today and they were quite delicious after cooked. They seem to be fresh to me even though the water they were sitting in was quite disgustingly dirty. I dont know why they dont flush that water out more often. I didnt have to stand in line too long and the cashier was polite and friendly. Ill go back there again

Good fish and shrimp, live fish in clean tanks makes for great meals at home! Vegetables and fruits could be fresher and periodically checked more. Good selection of a variety of noodles, frozen and fresh (refrigerated) but from SoCal.

Cashiers need to be more greeting customers rather than talking among themselves in their language.

As a vegetarian, not my favorite place in the world due to the strong smell of fish and other meat. But it is convenient and the service is very efficient. Prices for produce are slightly higher than the Indian store across the street so I usually go here for fruit or things they dont carry at that store. Its a big store so there is decent selection.The parking lot is a disaster of poorly behaved drivers and pedestrians so I often walk here to save frustration.

This Chinese market food is not fresh. The fish tastes like mud, the meat is never fresh. The vegetables are all in bags and they go bad after one day of refridgeration.I bought shrimp and it was sour, milk goes bad in two to three days, fruits carry fruit flies or bugs in it when I get it home.I’m surprised I’m not deathly ill.Need to clean up the market or get a good inspector in there

If possible, go to the 99 Ranch on Jarvis for your Asian grocery needs. The hotpot meat here always looks old, the produce also does not look as fresh as it should be. The only reason Id come here is when I dont have the time to go somewhere else.

Marina will always be the quick and cheap grocery store. Im not sure what day they restock, but it is not consistent. Also, their produce isnt always the fresh, so be wary when picking up any veggies or fruit. The trade-off is the quality of produce but the price makes it difficult to complain.

Tons of Asian and Latino foods, large selection of fruits and veggies. $5.99 enormous lunch special at the deli is served all day and includes rice or noodles (or split them) and 3 addl entries. the lunch lasts me 3 meals! Friendly cashiers, helpful employees.Im a regular.

I came here to buy ingredients to make Unagi crab bake. Heres a simple recipe to keep the folks happy.1) Frozen unagi ($10-$15)2) Frozen fake crab ($5)3) Smallest bag of sweet rice ($10)4) Rice vinegar ($3 - $5)5) Shredded Seaweed ($2)6) Sesame seeds ($4)7) Avocado ($1.99)Make your rice - when it cools down, add in rice vinegar and some sugar (to taste). Defrost then shred frozen crab meat and mix with mayo.In a casserole dish, add ingredients in layers. Bottom to top:RiceCrab mixShredded seaweedUnagiAvocadoSesame seedsBake for 30 minutes at ~350 degrees in the oven. Put on your Hello Kitty mitts and pull out the casserole. Let it cool for a minute or so, then serve to your guests. They will be impressed!

There are ALOT rotten veggies and fruits when i stop there on saturday afternoon, be care full and always double check on the quality. Dirts all over the floors, Meat and meat packing placed very close to restroom entrance.On top of that, RUDE customer service in the deli department, especially the server on the meat area., older chinese guy,I am waiting inline and there was no one else behind me when its my turn someone jump in front of me and the server serve that customer right a way like nothing happened, when I told him i was next but the server ignored me.
