BEST bagel spot in the area. My sandwiches are always good

Food is always very fresh, the flagels are big and delicious! Even when busy they move fast, counter people are always pleasant even though sometimes they do looked stressed...lol Definitely recommend for a hearty and inexpensive breakfast!

As a first time person here- it was hard to navigate around the place to order. It’s not a place that accommodates to new comers.I felt like everyone knew what they want, there’s no menus, no pricing, just a bagel shop, chips, and spreads all displayed.They did have some advertising in the front for a cowboy wrap and some protein wrap- but I was confused, was that the only thing they offered?I ended up copying and pasting what someone else ordered and had a sausage egg and cheese with salt pepper ketchup on a plain bagel.The bagel was pretty damn good, it was soft and dense- wasn’t overbearing and was great. Everything in the sandwich was just perfect.

My local go to bagel shop. Always fresh and they can build you what ever you Emmy on a bagel. Coffee is hot and tasty you wont be disappointed

This is our go to bagel spot in the Union area. Their coffee is really good and I havent had anything on the menu I didnt like. Its as authentic as it can get for bagels.They have such a variety of flavors. Their sandwiches are really good as well.

The food is good but I never felt comfortable there while I was in the store. There is on man in particular: bald man with glasses that and an accent that never showed me any form of decency. Wouldnt look me in the eyes, tried his best to talk to me as little as possible, even when I brought friends to this location they felt the same way. This would happen every time I went and he had to serve me, it made me feel awful. Ultimately Im not going back because of my poor treatment overall there.

Really tasty local breakfast spot. Friendly & fast service. Great prices and yummy breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was less than stellar, but their taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich is top 5 one of the best Ive had. Worth checking out if youre in the area.

OMG, I love... love this bagel spot, not only are they no expensive, compared to over priced Manhattan Bagel, they Taylor ham and egg sandwiches are fantastic, they always make my egg soft, as per my request, and they do not burn my Taylor ham, their sandwiches are always perfect according to my detail request. I wish they put in 3 slices of ham, but there are only two. 😢 Manhattan Bagels always used to over Cook my egg, and the Taylor ham was always burned, on top of the bad sandwiches they charge you almost 6.00 for it, I stop going there, they never make my sandwiches as per my liking/ request, this is why I only go to Bagels & Beans, they always, always listen.

Tried this place when they first opened and had a bad experience. Decided to try it again to day as it had been a few years and I was shopping at the fruit store in the same strip mall. I was never even acknowledged. I stood at the window where youre supposed to place your order. One guy even stood in front of me and took a phone order right in front of me and never took my order. There were 4 workers back there and only 2 customers waiting for orders. After several minutes of being ignored, I left. I certainly wont be back.

Great bagels and service! Friendly crew serve up freshly baked bagels and sandwiches. Call it old fashioned, but its nice to be in a place that knows their regular customers orders when they walk in! Thats real Jersey for you!

Fast and efficient service! Delicious hot bagels!! Had the everything with egg, cheese, Taylor ham. They were even extra kind to my 2 year old! Definitely coming here again.

Fair bagels. They need to add more seeds/toppings on the outside of the bagels. The everything bagels had really nothing on it. Whats with that? Cinnamon raisin was dry with very few whole raisins at all in it.

Ive been raising money towards FOOD FOR FRONTLINE and have provided meals to several locations (Newark Beth Israel, Shoprite Woodbridge, and a few others) over the past 3 weeks. I called Bagels & Beans and spoke with the owner Jim to order warm fresh bagels for Cornell Care and Rehab Center (staff of 70). Jim was a blessing and donated 3 dozen bagels to assist me in feeding the staff. God bless you Jim, they enjoyed their bagels 😊

One of the best bagel shops in the area. Bagels and coffee always fresh and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Good variety of bagels too. Line can get long mid-morning on the weekends so go early.

First time visit. Bagels were pretty good. Havent tried the sandwiches yet but plan to. Service was great.

If youre looking for a place to gather, catch up with and old friend all while enjoying a cup of coffee and a bagel, this is the place. Bagels and Beans has a very friendly staff. Not only do they have a Hugh bagel selection but they have apple turnovers, a variety of muffins, chips, salmon, cold cuts, snapple drinks for the non coffee drinkers. There are high chairs for the little ones, televisions and of course the most important,,,a UNISEX BATHROOM.

This place aint bad. 1 major complaint is they dont have French toast bagels!!! But there jalapeno cheddar cream cheese is delicious. All in all this place really hasnt knocked my socks off.

Might be the best bagels Ive had. Outstanding. Try the jalapeno cheddar cream cheese, avoid the Mac salad and Cole slaw.

Best bagels Ive ever had anywhere! A couple of years ago I moved out of the area, but I take a weekly drive back to Bagels & Beans because it is worth every mile! Soft and chewy bagels, and tasty spreads. I dont think I will ever find a bagel shop that makes bagels this irresistibly delicious!!!

Hands down one of the best bagel sandwich places in the area. Try the super-egg bagel! Its a perfectly made egg bagel with everything seasoning on it. So satisfying.

I love bagels and beans we are always there getting bagels for the weekends or their Taylor ham and cheese sandwiches on a roll or a bagel its a great place its always packed I recommend their bagels over anybody else in Union and his Bagels hold if you put them in a ziplock baggie for the next day.

I had an egg white and turkey bacon sandwich on a poppy seed bagel. Delicious. I cant remember when Ive had a bagel that tasted this good. The bagel was fresh and had a great chew. Turkey bacon was so thick and tasty, you could almost mistake it for the real thing. They ground their coffee in-house and they dont burn it when it brews, so the coffee was excellent. Plus, they are a mom and pop type shop - its important to support your small and local business. Im not from this area, but Im guaranteed to come back whenever Im back around this side of town.

Food was not satisfactory at all. Employees were unpleasant and rude. Would not recommend to anyone. You want an honest recommendation. Go to Manhatten Bagel across the street. Much better food and pleasant enviroment.

I love this place. I work just a half of a mile away and go to Bagels & Beans for lunch frequently. I am typically not a big sandwich person, but their sandwiches are sooooooo good, especially The Russian! The staff is super friendly as well!

BEST BAGELS EVER IN THE HISTORY OF EVER..

The food is good but some of the customer service needs some improvement..and not by the young people.

So the bald head white guy in this establishment is very rude with poor customer service skills this is the second time me and my husband went to this establishment and was treated poorly.. We can be the only one standing at the register and he overlooks us... Today my husband went in today and stood se the register for at least 5 minutes until acknowledged by another worker while he was standing there.... We decided today to place the order before we came in... So the other worker said the food was ready... upon checking out the the bald headed white guy looked passed him talked to other people while they were coming in assisted another customer... So at this point this is blatant disrespect.... Im not going to pull the race card because there are other blacks that frequent this establishment however I myself feel it is because its all smiles to other with other customers..I lived in Union 15+ years and live in this area Ive never experienced this before smh its sad because everyone on this strip from Chestnut deli and on no us and will tell you we are great people smh and they know what we want as soon as we walk in because we are constant supportive customers..
