I am a frequent customer as I work as Tonys Home Improvements and many times my customers have plumbing issues. I am usually helped by Shawn who is FANTASTIC ! He is never stumped and always has an answer for me and a product for the repair needed. He provides me with professional service as he knows his business and cares for his customers and thus always meets their needs. He goes above and beyond to help me all the time and he is why I am a General Plumbing Supply customer ! Thank You Shawn !!

Gave it 1 star in order to post. Unfortunately NO stars are allowed.If I could have NO STARS would be posted.Waited patiently outside in the rain. Following the rules of no more then 3 people in the store at a time. Once inside, the sales rep summoned the person behind me. I explained, I was next. The man behind me even told the sales rep that I was next. The sales rep very rudely stated He is a contractor and they are taken care of first I explained I did not know The sales rep stated I just told you He raised his voice the whole time he was speaking with me and had an attitude as though he was scolding me. He would not even allow me to speak as he went off in a rant. Was it because I am a woman? I was going to make a substantial purchase but that should not matter.First time in this store and LAST!!!I will take my money elsewhere. Ive lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years. I believe in supporting my community. Never have Ive been treated with such disrespect!!! It was DISGRACEFUL!!!ADVICE: LOSE THE ATTITUDE OR LOSE THE CUSTOMERS!!!MATTHEW 7:12 TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED.
Integrity, curtsy, and professionalism are cornerstone of the GPS in Union, depicted its Manager Joe. Heating Professionals wanted $12000 to replace my home furnace, instead of replacing the failed part, which was unavailable for same manufacturer. Manager Joe, went above and beyond his ways, in helping me. I remain much obliged to Manager Joe and GPS in Union.
My first time experiences with both Shawn Wearing at the counter, who helped me research and then email with specific part numbers for me to take to another location for my faucet, and Manager Joe were both personal and considerate.
@Danny from Deep Foods: I believe you are referring to Cowboy. He has helped me with plumbing questions and materials several times. Very knowledgeable and helpful, even when store is busy.
Had a water heater break down at our Deep Foods facility. I walked over to GPS, worked with Calvin to place the order and parts were delivered as promised. Calvin even called me to check up on the delivery.
I went in to see if they have a Kohler o ring because thats all I needed. I even gave him a specific Kohler number. One of the rep which was very rude and full of himself proclaim you have to buy the whole part (80 dollars) versus the o ring which is 1.50. He tried to convince me that Kohler really doesnt sell me just the O ring so I went on my phone and just ordered in on Amazon for 1.25 the only problem is that I had to wait 2 days vs buying it right there. This shop doesnt want to help you or care for small purchases. Look at the other one stars and they have something all in common, rude. Look elsewhere when you shop local.

I went there b/c my diverter stem was leaking. I replaced the oring that prevents water from escaping from the diverter valve but the oring on the outside of the broach was leaking as well. I decided to shop local and go to the Union location. I showed the guy at the counter what I had and what the issue was. All he asked for was what brand is it. I didnt know the brand b/c no branding was on any of the fixtures (bought the house already renovated 6yrs ago). If I knew the brand I wouldnt have stopped in. All he did was tell me to buy an Oring kit or change the fixtures. No attempt to match some thing up or recommend some thing other than replacing the entire trim(handle, plate, diverter, a costly repair) or an Oring kit (a universal answer to solve a leak problem). I left that place in under 5 minutes and went to Home depot down the street. Did some searching and nothing in stock, found a parts catalog measured the length, found the stem id and knew what I needed. I went home plugged in what I learned and order it from Amazon. New diverter stem should be here by Monday. So much for supporting local businesses.
Another company failed to ship a boiler as scheduled.Knowing I had ordered from a competitorJoe S. and the crew in Union STILL stopped what they were doing to senda unit within an HOUR to the job site.This is the definition of professionalism and they haveearned my grateful appreciation...along with much more business.
What a great place for professional help. Didnt know what I needed just told them my situation and problem solved. All the employees were helpful and following all safety precautions.
They know their thing... Even if you know nothing about plumbing, they can help you to get what you need...
Joe and everyone at General Plumbing Supply in Union is absolutely fantastic. Joe is so kind and went out of his way to help us. We own a restaurant and our boiler mate hot water tank was leaking and flooding our basement. I tried reaching out to several companies for help and no one was willing because the original tank was under warranty and required a lot more paperwork then just ordering a new tank. Joe took the time to find us a new tank even though it wasnt at his location and handled the warranty aspect as well making sure we got our full refund. He got called me throughout the process to see how we were holding and to give me updates. I cannot say enough great things about Joe and the rest of his staff.

Very pleased with the assistance in answering questions I had. I dealt with Joe Shediack on a few occasions and he spent enough time with me until I was confident in what I was buying. When considering redoing my bathroom he forwarded me to a store closer to my home and who had a showroom to assist in my needs. I was VERY impressed with them as well. Thank you GPS and thank you Joe S. I will use GPS again in the future.

Horrible customer service! it was made very clear by one of there employees working the counter with the lovely fake gold earrings that they do not need or want small buisness from every day DIY homeowners. I would suggest trying Aarons plumbing instead for better customer service.

Very disappointed with customer service. I showed gentleman behind counter a picture from my cell phone, he didnt bother to look, and he told me he has done this for 30 years and he needs to see the barrel from the faucet stem. I told him there was no barrel, and again he said he was doing this for thirty years and he needs to see the barrel. I left and went to Another supply company and the gentleman said there is no barrel but a seat, he gave me a tool to remove the Seat . I returned home removed the seat and brought it back and gave me the new fitting. So sir I know you have been doing this for thirty years, but if there is a seat there is no Barrel in the faucet. By the way I fixed the faucet with no help from you and it works great.
