What is it with this small town and hole-in-the-wall restaurants that are just killing it. I mean these little mom&pop shops are soo much better than chain eateries.Seriously, choose this place over Olive Garden if you want sausage or meatball hoagies, just make sure you have somewhere to go sit and eat. There are no benches to eat at in *or* around this place and hardly enough room to turn around when they get a line going but I love that about small shops like this. All of their food is delicious! If you want any of the daily specials you’ll need to call early; they’re usually sold out of specialties by lunchtime.Yes, you do want the pepper mix on your hoagie. It comes on the Italian (pictured below) Make sure you get their special balsamic reduction as well. They stuff them full! You won’t leave hungry.I’ve attached a picture of the menu. Their prices are unbelievably fair for how outstanding the food tastes and how much you get.
They make great subs. Their pepper shooter are great. They also make great potato and macaroni salad.
Get Old World feel....and the BEST ham salad and wedding soup I have had in a long time!
5 generations of Piccolominis shopping at World ImportingFABULOUS ❤Thank you Ron Romeo for continuing to feed our community
I CAN NOT believe my first experience it was terrible and Jenn is very rude and unprofessional... I waited very long and in the process she started making my sandwich stopped checked people out (touched money etc) ok but when she went back to remaking my sandwich she did not I repeat did not wash her hands nor put gloves on... Not to mention they had no bread and turned away others from getting Sandwiches saying the wait was gonna be an hour ..... Wow them ladies are making this place look bad and I know the owners do not operate there businesses as such...get new clean and professional workers who dont talk about everyone including there job... Also make your workers wear 😷 MASK and gloves!!!
I love their ham salad. It is by far the best in town. However, none of the employees were wearing masks and it made me a bit uncomfortable.
An institution of Uniontown. Excellent daily specials.Yins aint had pepperoni rolls like this.Be warned: Do not underestimate the size of the hoagies. Many good things to bite.
Delicious Italian subs (as big as 24), fresh feta cheese, and some of the best pepperoni rolls Ive ever had! The young guy who works there is kinda cute too, and very friendly.
The wedding soup is absolutely perfectly delicious. Thank you. My compliments to the chef.
It’s the best hoagie I ever had made fresh and amazing pepperoni rolls also
Everything is delicious.....super friendly
Unbelievable little place. Italian hoagies made to order fresh would recommend to all. Lunch meats are all good Italian stuff. Recommend to all. Just love this Italian market. Please try this place dont listen to the naysayers until you try for yourself. Its the best only place around to get real imported sheeps milk Romano cheese!!!!!!! I have to travel to uniontown just to get a hoagie and Romano spaghetti cheese. My family likes it so much better than parmesan. I live in West Newton pa.worth the little drive.
Very good food friendly staff
Worst place ever, never order from here! My husband works nearby and his coworkers told us how good the place was so we decided to try it. Workers were so rude and lied and they said they told me when I called that they didn’t have the salad I ordered but they didn’t so now I have no food.
Stopped by Saturday on recommendation from my GFs Mom. Best Pepperoni Roll ever!!! Chocolate Chip Cookie was very good also
Best footlong Italian with balsamic and pepper salad topping with freshest Italian bread known to man. You WILL NOT FIND a better Italian sub from here to NYC. The price is right and the ladies make it like they’re doing it for family. 6 stars!!! A true downtown UNIONTOWN JEWEL OF A BUSINESS!
Love the gourmet pastas and this is a treasure we need to keep in this town. The prices are actually more reasonable than the super markets! This is the best kept secret for those that love too cook going. Lets support this terrific market with a host of divine imports for our cultural diversity here.
Its a very nice place
The pizza was delicious thank U so much
I eat lunch 2 or 3 times a week here!. Nice little spot to grab a quick bite of hot, tasty food. They also have a selection of deli meats, cheeses, spices & all sorts of hard-to-find fare. The Reuben sliders & hot sausage sandwiches are my personal favorites!
Still searching for that east coast flavor. Better than most around here. Rolls baked fresh on location so thats nice
My family has been shopping here for over 40 years. We called it “Romeo’s”. Since mom’s side is Italian, we would go for all the delicious luncheon meats, pepperoni and “spaghetti cheese”, along with other yummy foods. Moved away but when visiting home, always go shopping for my “spaghetti cheese”.
So happy I found this place! Pepperoni rolls kick butt. Hoagie buns are made in house. Reminds me of the local Italian deli where I grew up in Pittsburgh.
We shop at World Importing Food Store whenever we are home in Uniontown. They have high quality food from cold cuts and cheeses to imported canned tomatoes and pastas. There is always something that I just have to have in addition to my grocery list, i.e., a sandwich, soup, some special bread, etc. We get our Christmas Eve Italian cold cuts and cheese trays at World Importing. Its a Tradition. You wont be disappointed. peace
Good food, good prices. The store is a bit dirty and in need of a remodel.
Great food
